In an article that is sure to spark many a debate, Rolling Stone magazine has compiled a list to crown the ‘new Queen of Pop’.  In a tabulation solely compiled of 21st century divas including P!nk, Britney Spears, and Beyonce, the publication only considered female singers active in the late 2000’s and factored-in everything from Youtube video hits to record sales and tours.

Despite reports that predict Beyonce‘s lowest first week sales ever, Columbia Records has slammed any claims of disappointment in the singer’s 4th studio album ‘4’.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the label’s chairman Rob Stringer detailed its response to the album’s early leak, their commercial expectations for the LP, and preparing Beyonce for a whopping 18-month promo of the project.

Singer/songwriter/model Candice Pillay has been generating quite the buzz in the UK and abroad and is now hoping to sting across the pond in the United States.  The 29-year-old South African beauty was recently signed to Bangladesh Records – headed by famed R&B/hip hop producer Bangladesh.  Though her sound has delved in R&B, soul, acoustic guitar and piano, and Europop, the songstress is no stranger to Urban pop.
