With the July 7 release of ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),’ global superstar Taylor Swift is halfway through a discography-wide re-recording project that has seen her make history in a groundbreaking stride toward musical ownership after a very public fallout with music mogul Scooter Braun in 2019.
Originally released in 2010, ‘Speak Now‘ – Swift’s third studio album famous for its singles ‘Mine,’ ‘Mean,’ ‘The Story of Us,’ ‘Back to December,’ and more – sees its 2023 revamp decorated with all 16 songs from the original and deluxe versions of the project alongside seven ‘From the Vault’ tracks that were previously unreleased.
Among those vaulted cuts is ‘I Can See You,’ which had its accompanying music video premiered live during the diva’s Kansas City stop on the ‘Eras Tour.’
An action-packed visual, Taylor pulls off a heist of her master recordings with help from famous co-stars Joey King as well as Taylor Lautner and Presley Cash (who both starred in the 2011 music video for ‘Speak Now’ song ‘Mean’).
