As Dua Lipa fans impatiently wait for updates on her highly anticipated third studio album, the follow-up to 2020’s blockbuster ‘Future Nostalgia,’ the Pop diva has been sparsely whetting appetites by appearing as a feature on a number of high-profile releases since the era’s close (i.e. Megan Thee Stallion, Elton John, Pop Smoke, Miley Cyrus, etc.).
The first taste of solo Lipa music since 2021’s ‘Love Again‘ came courtesy of the May 25-released ‘Dance the Night,’ which also serves as the lead single from the forthcoming ‘Barbie‘ film (of which the GRAMMY winner also stars).
Sending her diehard supporters into a frenzy upon its arrival, the tune made a commendable debut right outside of the Hot 100’s top 40 as it entered as last week’s second-highest premiere among new songs by women (following Taylor Swift‘s ‘Hits Different’).
This week, thanks to rising on every format (streaming, digital downloads, and radio airplay), the Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson-produced bop has cracked the top 40.
