Despite industry analyst prediction ‘TROLLZ’ – the newest duet from 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj – will power its way to a #2 debut on next week’s Hot 100, the duo are pulling out all the stops to push it to the chart’s summit.

In addition to selling the single for $.69 and offering to pay fans to help promote it (click here to read more), now Minaj is keeping conversation around ‘TROLLZ’ going with the reveal of an alternate version.

Taking to Twitter Tuesday (June 16), the GRAMMY nominee explained the official version was actually her 11th take whereas the alternate has a different verse and even changes the beat.

“The official #Trollz verse was version 11. This was version 1,” said Nicki of the ‘TROLLZ’ alternate. “Verse changes and beat changes… but now u guys get a glimpse of where my verse begins vs. how it ends up once my creative process is complete.”

‘Trollz,’ the latest duet from Rap superstars Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj, isn’t exactly ‘breaking the internet’ as its main star once predicted it would but it’s certainly breaking records.

As we reported here, the Sadpony-produced bop may be headed for a #2 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to lack of radio airplay and a slow start at streaming on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, but where the tune is proving itself a juggernaut is YouTube.

Tekashi 6ix9ine continues to serve as one of Hip-Hop’s most polarizing figures.

Because, while he commands a large legion of fans, he’s receiving little support from his contemporaries. Many of whom have slammed him for being a “rat” informant. A label linked to his much publisized legal woes.

Never one to hold his tongue, 6ix9ine seized the moment during an Instagram Live promoting new single ‘TROLLZ (ft. Nicki Minaj)’ to address his detractors.

In a fiery rant, he unleashed on Future – who he accuses of being inauthentic and not taking care of his children. He also had choice words for Meek Mill – stressing that both rappers rely on Drake for hits. Ouch.

After multiple push backs, Tekashi 6ix9ine finally unveils ‘Trollz’ – the highly anticipated follow-up to his first post-prison release single, ‘Gooba.’

Much like its predecessor, ‘Trollz’ is the center of controversy – this time pointed at his co-star, Minaj, from many who disapprove of 6ix9ine’s rap sheet (which includes snitching, sexual misconduct with a minor, cultural appropriation, and more).

Nevertheless, having already hit #3 on the Hot 100 with their past hit ‘Fefe,’ the New York-based duo are looking to hit a higher rung on the tally with their “charity single” reunion.

Together the pair are cooking up a sequel to the latter’s 2004 smash ‘Locked Up’ – which, of course, is all sorts of apt given 6ix9ine’s stint in the slammer and recent release.

Tekashi 6ix9ine fans anxious to get their eyes and ears on his new music video, ‘Trollz,’ will have to wait just a while longer.

After pushing the tune from its original May 22 due date to May 29, the rapper then took to social media last week to announce it would ‘break the Internet’ upon its arrival rescheduled for June 5th (as we reported here).

Now, in light of social unrest, protests, and riots across the country in response to police brutality and racial inequality, 6ix9ine says he’s delaying ‘Trollz’ debut again.
