6ix9ine, hot on the promo trail in support of his surprise-released sophomore album, ‘Tattletales’ (click here to listen), has ruffled the feathers of the Barbz – the very fan group who have long supported him thanks to his affiliation with Rap queen Nicki Minaj.

Taking to Billboard recently, the 24-year-old was quizzed about his trail of hits including his first and only Hot 100 chart-topper ‘Trollz.’  Visibly perturbed by the line of questioning, 6ix9ine emphasized that he did not need anyone’s help to get to #1 – not even Minaj’s.

However, while defending his chart history his commentary was perceived as an inadvertent diss to the Harajuku Barbie in the process – a feat that set in motion ongoing attacks from Barbz.

6ix9ine sprung a surprise on fans Friday (September 4) when he unleashed his highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘TattleTales’ (click here to stream).

Featuring the hits ‘TROLLZ,’ ‘GOOBA,’ and more, the 13-track set boasts guest appearances from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Akon, and more.

Hot on the promo trail in support of the effort, 6ix9ine’s uncaged ‘TUTU’ as the latest single to get the video treatment.

Directed by Just4canon, the characteristically colorful clip sees its star portray a Joker-inspired figure while surrounded by bootylicious babe at a car show.

Only a week after announcing his album would drop before Fall arrived, controversial rapper 6ix9ine‘s lifted the lid on a 13-track LP titled ‘TattleTales.’

Featuring the previously released tracks ‘Gooba,’ ‘Trollz’ (featuring Nicki Minaj), and ‘Punani’ as well as the previously teased remix to Akon‘s signature hit ‘Locked Up,’ the project serves as the hit rapper’s second studio effort.

When not being panned for snitching cooperating with federal law enforcement agents to expose the alleged criminal activity of some of his colleagues, 6ix9ine is dodging criticism for some of his controversial commentary.

No stranger to ruffling the feathers of fellow rappers like Megan Thee Stallion, Future, Meek Mill, Doja Cat, and more (as we reported here), the emcee (born Daniel Hernandez) is certainly keeping momentum in that arena going full throttle thanks a recent statement that saw him compared himself to the late, great Tupac Shakur.

Despite being vocal about the aftermath of being shot in both feet in mid-July, Megan Thee Stallion kept mum on who the assailant was until Thursday (August 20) when she took to Instagram live to pinpoint fellow rapper Tory Lanez as the culprit (as we reported here).

While some praised the ‘Savage’ rapper for speaking her truth (one Lanez has yet to contest), others branded the Rap diva a ‘snitch’ for naming him as the offender – an event that will increase the likelihood he will be criminally charged for the act and possibly face deportation back to Canada.

Among those singing her praises is rapper 6ix9ine – who has faced ridicule in the past for snitching when he cooperated with federal investigators by detailing the criminal activity of the entire Nine Trey Bloods gang in New York (after partaking in the activity himself).

6ix9ine is a free man!

The controversial rapper had been on house arrest since his release from prison, after serving time for racketeering and other offences.

During his time on literal lockdown, the MC proved to be quite the hit vendor – churning out hits such as ‘GOOBA’ and Nicki Minaj assisted chart-topper ‘Trollz’

And now he’s keeping the heat a’coming with new track ‘Punani.’

Wasting no time, he’s also unwrapped the song’s video too.

6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Trollz’ continues to pencil itself in Hot 100 history books.

Beyond becoming the chart’s first co-ed Rap duet to debut at the top, the Sadpony-produced bop was also the year’s highest first-week seller among singles (click here to read more) upon its premiere. In the following week, ‘Trollz’ entered record books for the largest fall for a #1 debut when it plummeted out of the top 30 – a downward trajectory that’s shown no signs of stalling as the song’s dropped over 25 rungs each week since its chart entry.

The most refreshed edition of the hit-list logs the tune at #83 in its 4th week and signals a worrying trend that could see it slip out of the Hot 100 all together by next week.

YG said a ‘big no’ to re-collaborating with his ‘Big Bank’ co-star Nicki Minaj after she worked with infamous snitch 6ix9ine.

Recently taking to L.A. radio station REAL 92.3, the rapper (born Keenon Jackson) didn’t bite his tongue when asked by resident DJs Bootleg Kev and DJ Hed if he would ever work with the GRAMMY-nominated femcee again.

“I don’t know, my feelings is hurt. I’m a real street ni**a,” he said.  Later, he definitively declined and said she was “canceled.”

Needless to say, by the time his comments reached the desk of several Minaj fans – affectionately called #Barbz – they flew to her defense.
