Camila Cabello crowns a year of solo success with a coveted Rolling Stone cover.

The 21-year-old shooting star appears a front of the magazine’s latest issue; and while  she makes for an arresting sight, her feature within the publication’s inner-pages is equally as compelling.

While celebrating racking up a billion streams of her music, she also recounts more challenging times – including her acrimonious split from Fifth Harmony and the pre-release drama surrounding break-out hit ‘Havana.’

Hip-Hop’s hottest new star aptly covers the “Hot Issue” of Rolling Stone.

The coveted slot comes after a year of slayage for the the Bronx bred belle.

JAY-Z re-affirmed his spot atop of the Hip-Hop pyramid this week with the premiere of his most candid album yet, ‘4:44.’

Unleashed on his streaming service TIDAL, the LP has taken social media by storm following truth bearing lyrics surrounding his relationship with Beyonce and a whole lot more.

The project is reportedly set to hit all digital and physical outlets after the end of its one week exclusivity period with TIDAL and Sprint. And it appears Jigga gas more up his sleeve.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, the album’s sole producer No I.D revealed that there are three more songs on the way.

The confirmation came after he was quizzed about the shortness of the project – which, in its current incarnation, clocks in at the 35-minute mark.

Peep the excerpt below:

RS: So the concise 10-song length was important for that purpose?
No I.D: Yes. There’s three more songs that are coming out as bonuses. James Blake came in and joined into the process. There’s more coming shortly that’s equally as revealing.

Smart.

Jay, along with Bey, have made it clear that they are playing by their own rules. Case in point ‘Lemonade’ still being a TIDAL streaming exclusive.

However, it’s a cool to see that Mr Carter is giving added incentive to pick-up his album at retail post this wave of excitement.

One has to wonder whether the “three new songs” appear on the physical edition only, or whether they’ll also be present on the version serviced to rival streaming services.

Pending an answer, what are…

Sultry chanteuse Ciara delves onto the dark side on the haunting ‘Paint It Black.’

The track, a cover of the Rolling Stones song of the same name, features on the soundtrack for new Vin Diesel movie ‘The Last Witch Hunter’ and serves as the first new material from the 29-year-old since the release of sixth album ‘Jackie’ earlier this year.

Notably, the cut embraces a brand of edgy Ciara had yet to experiment with until now.

Ciara certainly knows how to keep her name in the mix.

Indeed, beyond releasing new album ‘Jackie’ back in May, the 360 siren has been living up to said billing by appearing in TV shows, fronting fierce fashion campaigns, and now getting in on the film arena.

The 29-year-old has been tapped to record her own rendition of ‘Paint It Black’ by the Rolling Stones for Vin Diesel‘s new movie ‘The Last Witch Hunter.’

In a brand new trailer unleashed moments ago, a preview of the song features — and it’s not what folk may expect to hear from the R&B belle.

The reclusive Lauryn Hill returns to the spotlight in honor of soul legend Nina Simone.

In a rare move, the critically hailed songstress has covered a track – namely Simone’s signature hit ‘Feeling Good.’

The former Fugees front-woman offered up her rendition for Netflix’s upcoming documentary on the diva titled ‘What Happened, Miss Simone?’

Rolling Stone reports that Hill initially signed on to record a duo of songs for the project, yet was so stirred that she ended up recording six (and becoming the soundtrack’s co-producer).

Speaking on Simone’s impact, the 40-year-old, whose ‘Miseducation’ LP was inducted into the Library of Congress, gushed:

“Because I fed on this music, both hers and lovers like her, like my basic food, I believed I always had a right to have a voice. Her example is clearly a form of sustenance to a generation needing to find theirs. What a gift.”

Madonna

Tonight’s ‘Brit Awards 2015’ saw Queen of Pop Madonna took a royal tumble on stage as she opened the performance of her latest chart-topper ‘Living For Love.’ Violently yanked to the ground by an apparently enthusiastic dancer, the songstress – in true diva fashion – was able to get through the rest of the performance without a hitch.

For what little bruising her joints may have suffered, we can’t say for sure her ego can boast the same.  As social media is still ablaze after the incident – mostly lending cheers of support, the icon took to Twitter to weigh in herself.

This, just shortly after news that the stage rolling singer is the face of March’s ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine.

Beyond being Pop forces, the paths of Katy Perry and Lady GaGa had rarely crossed until last Summer.

Indeed, who could forget the media storm whipped up surrounding their respective comeback singles ‘Roar’ and ‘Applause’? It’s a storm that would only go on to intensify once Perry’s song and parent album ‘Prism’ went on to trounce GaGa’s releases in the months that followed.

Since then, their names and narratives have often become interwoven – with Katy often crowned superior (despite some glaring deficiencies on stage).

It appears Rolling Stone have seized on this. For, in their new interview with 29-year-old Perry, they juxtapose mention of GaGa with what could be read as a dig from the former Gospel singer.

Peep the excerpt below to see what we mean…
