Beyonce may be line dancing her way to the top of streaming and digital sales charts with her new Country singles ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ and ’16 Carriages,’ but – despite the critical acclaim being driven the way of the tunes – she can’t exactly boast the best reception among some of the genre’s diehard enthusiasts.

Award season is upon us!

And the latest, and one of the most prestigious, is the BRIT Awards 2024.

Nominations for the UK’s equivalent of the GRAMMYs were announced moments ago and sees RAYE lead with 7 nods. The tally also brought with it major listings for the likes of Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, SZA, Burna Boy, Tyla, and more.

Fans and critics agree: Sexyy Red is easily one of the biggest music newcomers of 2023.

Love or hate her, the femcee’s raunchy brand of Rap helped her rise to the top of charts and headlines – even garnering attention from some of the genre’s leaders like Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Beyond preparing to deliver second child this year, a very pregnant Red (born Janae Nierah Wherry) took to Billboard’s digital magazine to talk about what else she plans to deliver musically in 2024, her cultural impact, and disdain for being pigeonholed into “p**sy rap.”

Girl Power!

Brit-born beauties Adele and Dua Lipa have had their respective fan bases levitating after the recent pleasantries they shared in the press.

First, Addy – who made headlines this week for being honored with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at ‘The Hollywood Reporter’s annual ‘Women in Entertainment’ event on December 7 – also acts as the mag’s most recent cover girl.

In its pages, she not only talked about her next album (the follow-up to 2021’s ‘30‘) but also praised the likes of SZA, Beyonce, and Victoria Monet.  Most notably, she gave a huge shout out to Dua.

“I’m also very excited that Dua is back. When I first ever heard ‘New Rules,’ I remember saying to my manager, ‘Whoa,'” the ‘Rolling in the Deep’ diva shared revealed to ‘THR.’ “I was like, ‘She should be the next big pop girl.’ And she is.”

It’s Grammy nomination time!

Music’s biggest calendar night, the 66th annual GRAMMY Awards, are set to air on February 4, 2024 live on CBS.

The industry’s brightest stars will align to shine at the event, which takes place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and will boast performances from the creme de la creme.

SZA leads with a whopping nine nominations, followed by Victoria Monét, Phoebe Bridgers, and Serban Ghenea who landed 7 each.

Today, excitement for the ceremony soared to new heights as its committee reveals which artists have been nominated in which categories.

Unequivocally, the Hot 100 run of Morgan Wallen‘s ‘Last Night‘ is nothing short of astounding.

The inaugural #1 hit on Pop charts for the music superstar, the Joey Moi-produced tune – found aboard Wallen’s blockbuster tertiary release ‘One Thing at a Time‘ – already made history when it became the first Country song by a solo male act to top the hitlist since 1981.

This week, thanks to a whopping 16th print in the tally’s summit position, it’s been penciled in Billboard books for becoming the overall longest-running solo #1 hit of all time.
