Unequivocally, the Hot 100 run of Morgan Wallen‘s ‘Last Night‘ is nothing short of astounding.

The inaugural #1 hit on Pop charts for the music superstar, the Joey Moi-produced tune – found aboard Wallen’s blockbuster tertiary release ‘One Thing at a Time‘ – already made history when it became the first Country song by a solo male act to top the hitlist since 1981.

Queen of Funk Chaka Khan was on the receiving end of a royal backlash last week when headlines rang out with quotes from her controversial interview with ‘The Originals’ podcast.

As we reported here, the legendary diva slammed ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine’s polarizing “200 Greatest Singers Ever” list printed earlier this year for placing names like Mariah Carey, Adele, and Mary J. Blige above hers.

When not suggesting the mag’s editors need “hearing aids” for the rankings, Khan was reminiscing on the time Blige “f-cked up” her 1975 classic and signature song ‘Sweet Thing.’

As fans of Mary, Mariah, Adele, and even Beyonce continued to chime in to defend their fave from Chaka’s shocking commentary, the 69-year-old moseyed over to social media over the weekend to apologize for the hoopla.

Queen of Funk Chaka Khan has fans of Adele, Mariah Carey, and Mary J. Blige in a funk after she took to ‘The Originals’ podcast recently to suggest she was disappointed the divas ranked higher than her on Rolling Stone’s infamous “200 Greatest Singers” list.

Stating the mag’s editors need “hearing aids” for the placements, Khan was particularly side-eyed by fans of Blige given their reported positive history.

In fact, the 69-year-old even admitted in the same interview that the two “loved each other” and are good friends but that didn’t stop her from reasserting the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul royally butchered the 1975 classic ‘Sweet Thing’ (Chaka’s signature song).
