Last Friday, in support of her forthcoming studio LP, Rita Ora rocked London’s Jazz Cafe with a truly upbeat set.

Delivering live renditions ‘Hot Right Now’, ‘RIP’ and and ‘Shine Your Light’, her performance comes months before she joins Coldplay on the European leg of their latest tour, and kicks off the promo tour for her own ‘ROC’ produced project.

Sometimes, a curse can come in the guise of gift.

Not sure what we mean? Take Iggy Azalea‘s ‘XXL Freshman Cover‘ for example. While it cemented her status as Rap’s  leading debutante, it also unearthed a controversy so ugly, the likes of Max Clifford would think twice about before getting involved with.

For, after failing to make the cover herself, fellow Femcee Azealia Banks questioned a lyric spat by Azalea in ‘D.R.U.G.S’.

And while everyone loves a a sweet treat, the Young Money maven will be hoping the masses share that affection for her sophomore set ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’.

In what comes as little surprise, Oprah’s highly anticipated interview with the family of late pop icon Whitney Houston was a ratings winner – earning a record viewership for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).  As reports swarmed the media that Winfrey’s channel was suffering from a series of ratings slumps, the 90 minute showing, much like her very talked about 2009 interview with the pop legend herself, proved to be a ratings goldmine with initial reports indicating over 3.5 million  tuned in to see Bobbi Kristina and co. speak about the aftermath of their family life since Whitney’s passing.

Earning O a guaranteed spot in the top 5 of Sunday night’s ratings, Winfrey, the first to score an interview with the family despite less than a month passing since the untimely death of the beloved singer, is set to follow with more high profile interviews – namely pop megastar Lady Gaga.

‘Spotlight’ singer Jennifer Hudson turned heads rocking this Ralph & Russo couture gown with plunging neckline.  Taking center stage at the grand opening of The Smith Centre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas this weekend, the Grammy winner reportedly brought down the house with her performance of ‘Take Care of This House’.

Joined on stage by Martina McBride, whom she also shared the stage with at the 2011 Grammys (in tribute to Aretha Franklin), see snaps of the divas in action below:
