Though this invite-only show took place back in June, official video footage from the Heineken Red Star Access launch event is just being released. Kanye West and a couple of his G.O.O.D Music partners – Kid Cudi and Big Sean – bring down the house in Brooklyn, performing hits like ‘Jesus Walk’, ‘All of The Lights’, ‘Good Life’ and more.

Who knew it had been 10 years since the release of the cult classic film Baby Boy? Time flies. Academy Award nominated actress Taraji P. Henson reunites with co-star, and NY Times Best Selling Author, Tyrese Gibson for the upcoming music video for his new single ‘Stay’. Clocking in at just over one minute, the trailer holds no punches, it’s a teaser of what seems to be a real cinematic affair.

One time R. Kelly protoge, and the soulful voice behind Kanye West’s 2004 hit ‘All Falls Down’– Miss Syleena Johnson– is gearing up for the release of her fifth studio album. The aptly titled Chapter V: Underrated, is set for release later this month, while the forthcoming LP’s second single, ‘Angry Girl’, has been making it’s way around the internet for a few weeks. The Toxic (Keyshia Cole, Jamie Fox) produced song features fellow R&B vocalist Tweet.

The Grammy-nominated songstress reveals, ‘Angry Girl’ is “A woman to woman song addressing the anger some women have against men, how that leads to their lack of trust, and the impact that has on women who are ready for love.” Source

It appears that things are finally shaping up for the Whitney Houston-produced remake of famed 70s musical ‘Sparkle’.  Originally reported to star late R&B songbird Aaliyah (and later with names like Raven Symone and Paula Patton at one time considered), it appears that the film will soon be making its way into the production stages with Jordin Sparks signing on to take the lead role.  Houston will play her mother.

BET‘s ‘The Game’ creator Mara Brock Akil has signed on to lead the behind the scenes action.  No word on who will contribute to the movie’s soundtrack.

The announcement comes shortly after news that Houston would be reprising her role in the Waiting To Exhale sequel, ‘Getting To Happy’, being shot later this year.

She is responsible for writing such hits as ‘Till The World Ends‘ by Britney Spears‘ and her very own ‘Your Love Is My Drug‘, yet Pop character Ke$ha has found cementing her status as one of Pop’s leading women both a difficult and tedious task time and time again.

However, it would appear the ‘Backstabber‘ entertainer is preparing to change all of that with her upcoming LP. For in a recent interview, she revealed that she not only plans to change her own sound but reinvent Pop music altogether.

For just hours ago, the 16 time Grammy winner and singing sister Solange enjoyed the company of many a fashionista as well as her young sister Solange at the J.Crew Presentation which celebrated the work of creative director Jenna Lyons.

Glowing and most certainly showing, the entertainer was also seen enjoying the US Open’s men’s final just days ago with husband and fellow musician Jay Z.
