Welcome back to TGJ Replay!

Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ features, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest reflective segment to act as a written quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday. Unlike its TGJ retrospective predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.

This week, we’re dusting off 2001 gem ‘Born To Do It’ by R&B crooner Craig David:

Fantasia is a married woman!

The ‘Lose To Win’ songstress is living the lyrics of her hit single after tying the knot with longtime lover Kendall Taylor this weekend.

Radiating all sorts of happiness, the American Idol champion (who has two children from previous relationships) expressed gratitude to her supporters saying:

“How do we thank each and everyone who made Our Day one of the most unique and memorable days we will ever share. To those who texted, called, or prayed during this week and up until today… Know that we love you and we know that if we had more capacity you would have been there, but you were still there in spirit… Now… We are The Taylor’s…. Here we come!”

Congrats to Ms. Barrino Mr and Mrs Taylor!

Here’s hoping her new found happiness will inspire some much needed new music.

Our girl K. Michelle is back at it!

While most were applauding her vocal showing at fellow ‘Love & Hip Hop’ alumni Yandy Smith‘s recent wedding, there were some –  namely R&B soulstress Jaguar Wright – who weren’t so impressed.  Taking to Instagram to lend the disapproval, it wasn’t long before Michelle got word of Jaguar’s detraction and pounced to lend her own fiery response.

This, just a day after she officially announced her new ‘Cheaters’-inspired television show was green lit for VH1 and that she’s readying a re-release of her sophomore album ‘Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart.’

With a career spanning over 25 years, Mariah Carey has enjoyed success in the 90’s, 00’s, and the current 10’s.

During the later timeframe, it’s industry icon L.A Reid who shepherded the songbird to new heights – most notably with 2005’s ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ and follow-up ‘E=MC2.’ Both of which spurned a number of hits for the diva.

Having fallen on tricky terrain once again though, Carey re-teamed with Reid over at Epic Records earlier this year with a view to revive her career fortunes.

And while it’s clear an all-out approach is being taken to the Resuscitation of Mimi (as evidenced by the push for her Las Vegas residency and new greatest hits collection ‘#1 To Infinity’), Reid’s comments on her comeback will certainly set tongues wagging.

This week’s Hot 100 sees ‘See You Again’ – the latest hit from Wiz Khalifa – in the #1 spot again. Notching his fifth week at the tally’s perch, the emcee clocks the longest run at #1 by a rapper since Eminem reigned with his Rihanna-assisted number ‘Love the Way You Lie’ in 2010.

With no indication of slowing down anytime soon, the ‘Fast and the Furious’ soundtrack number leads a fairly stagnant, male dominated top 5 with The Weekend, Fetty Wap, and Bruno Mars helping fill out the rest of the space.

Elsewhere on charts, the week’s most talked about entry – Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea‘s ‘Pretty Girls’ – is sitting pretty in the top 30 with an impressive debut fueled mostly by sales.  Before we find out the boost it receives courtesy of its accompanying music video (which was unveiled yesterday), tuck in below to see this week’s refreshed Billboard Hot 100 top 10:
