As reported here, ‘1 Thing’ singer Ameriie has been generating quite the buzz for her upcoming ‘Cymatika Vol. 1’ album.  The album, which the singer revealed is expecting a spring 2012 release, will be preceded by the new summer single ‘Firestarter’.

While no official release date has been reported, the newlywed chatted it up with our friends at Rap-Up to provide details about the song, it’s parent album, and her desire to release an album every year.

R&B starlet Melanie Fiona has joined a growing number of stars who have paid tribute to late British soul singer Amy Winehouse:

“Today, it’s all I can do to express my gratitude to one of my favorite artists. May your music live on to inspire others, as it has inspired me. R.I.P. AMY WINEHOUSE. xo.”

‘Lay It On Me’ singer Kelly Rowland sat down for an extensive interview today with Billboard.com.  Rowland, whose latest studio effort ‘Here I Am’ is due in stores tomorrow (July 26th), answered fan-tweeted questions on topics ranging from plans for album promotion to the commercial response of ‘Miss Kelly’ and, of course, the ever-so-rumored Destiny’s Child reunion.  A great watch indeed!

It has, no doubt, been a difficult last few days for many who knew Amy Winehouse, most especially the entertainer’s parents. Mitch and Janis Winehouse visited the memorial site opposite her North London home, which fans have adorned with flowers, letters and other sentiments in honor of the late star.

Diva Mariah Carey sold more than her tacky line of jewelry and pumps during an appearance on the Home Shopping Network today. The mother of twins, Morroccan and Monroe Cannon, unveiled a body which has all but returned to form since giving birth just 3 months ago.
