Stephanie Mills is doubling down on her comparison between Beyonce and Diana Ross.

The R&B veteran made headlines this week when she went on record to say that “Diana is the epitome of class…Beyonce is more Hip-Hop”

Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Gracie Abrams, The Backfires, Babygirl, Blusher, and Ofenbach.

Quavo continues to mourn the loss of his late nephew/Migos groupmate Takeoff.

Just weeks after sharing an emotional live tribute at the GRAMMYs, the ‘Head Huncho’ (born Quavious Marshall) lifts another toast to the fallen star with the song ‘Greatness.’

“My chain, my watch, my wrist, my motherfu**in’ house, my rise and grind / I’d give away all this shit just to see my dawg just one more time,” raps Marshall.

And while he makes a nod to their history-making group in ‘Greatness,’ he also confirms that there will be no reunion with surviving member Offset.

“So don’t ask about the the group, he gone, we gone / Young ni**a, it can’t come back, damn,” he spits in the heart-tugging tune.

Having already sent two of their three previous collaborations to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 (‘Love Me Harder’ – #7 peak, ‘Save Your Tears’ remix – #1 peak), The Weeknd and Ariana Grande are undoubtedly hoping for the same with their latest musical tag team: a revamp of his smash ‘Die For You.’

Initially found aboard the Canadian hitmaker’s 2016 studio album, ‘Starboy,’ the song is currently enjoying an unexpected top 10 run on the Pop charts thanks to a viral response at Tik Tok.

Having peaked at #6 so far, The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) called on Ariana to help give the tune the boost needed to capture the tally’s top spot.

Just days after surprising their respective fan bases with confirmation of their reunion, ‘Die For You’ remix can be heard in full.  Hop inside to listen.

Your thoughts?

Despite seeing some of his sex abuse charges dropped in Chicago late last month (as we reported here), R. Kelly is still very much on the hook for multiple convictions on related charges.

Already serving a 30 year-bid for a sentence handed down last summer for federal sex trafficking and racketeering crimes, now the embattled R&B legend has been sentenced to 20 years for a separate federal sex crimes case in the Windy City.
