Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’ has lit up the charts as well as the history books. The track has become the singer’s 3rd consecutive single to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 from one album, giving her the distinction of being the 1st female artist in 11 years to achieve this feat.

The last female to accomplish this was Monica with the songs ‘The Boy Is Mine (Ft. Brandy)’, ‘The First Night’ and ‘Angel of Mine’ from her ‘The Boy Is Mine’ LP in 1999. ‘Firework’ is Perry’s 4th #1 single on the Hot 100 and her 6th top 10 single out of 7 releases.
