Beyonce’s legion of dedicated fans won’t have to wait much longer for her new material. Sia, who is probably best known for her work with Christina Aguilera on the songs ‘Bound To You’ and ‘You Lost Me’, has revealed that there is only 1 song left to be chosen for performer’s new album.

After gushing about her high hopes for working with Beyoncé, Australian songstress Sia revealed that she told B’s behind-the-scenes team that she wanted to lend a creative hand for the new album. “So I just said to all the producers, writers, everyone, help me make this happen, and then Diplo e-mailed me and said, ‘where are you in the world right now? would you be interested in flying to New York? I’m writing with Beyoncé,’ and I was like, ‘Yesss!’ ” the singer told MTV Australia.
Despite Diplo’s offer, Sia said she was unable to fly out because of schedule conflicts, but is in the process of pitching songs to Beyoncé. When asked if her submissions were for Beyoncé’s forthcoming LP, Sia said, “Well, there’s only one song left for this album, so I probably won’t get on this album, but hopefully the next one. That’s my dream, that’s my goal.” {Source}
After hearing the soulful ballads that Sia created with Aguilera (and the Golden Globe nomination that followed), it might prove to a be wise decision for Beyonce to use her material for the album. In fact, that could be exactly what she needs to bring some artistic depth to her music.
Either way, anticipation for new material from Beyonce is admittedly becoming quite intense. As Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way’ has proven to be nothing more than a poor imitation of Madonna’s ‘Express’ and Britney Spears looks utterly dull in her new video, a Beyonce’s ponytail-grabbing antics are dearly missed.

I agree. I am glad that she took her time in making this album. New music from Beyonce will be great and will do well in the current industry, where NO ARTIST is her competition. No other artist will have the massive amount of promotion behind their album and have the best producers on their album like Beyonce so I will probably get her CD whenever it comes out later this year. So far with bland first singles from Lady Gaga, Britney, and Jennifer Hudson the only female artist to get a sale from me will be Beyonce. Say what you may but Gaga & Britney are gonna sale extremely well, Beyonce’s sales don’t always match the hype. Sia is great tho. Beyonce’s album will not put a damper on neither Britneys not Gagas, they have both set records with there new singles, if anything she’s the one that the pressure is on. They are major Pop stars, she is to, but she has to pander to the Urban/Pop audiences.

I love how you young BeYAWNce stans try to rewrite history and forget about D’Day and all the bombs BeyAWNCe dropped on America that year. “Deja Vu” was a mess and her own fans petitioned for her to reshoot that s***** video trying to look like “Dreamlover”. “Ring the Alarm” flopped with her swagger jacking Rhythm Nation on that VMA performance. Then BeYAWNce tried to say she wrote “Listen” and the Academy investigated and took her name off the credits for the award citing she was the least involved in the song. FAIL. She’s a thief. And that awful song with Shakira that flopped on radio but had huge first week sales so it looked like it was a hit. FLOP. Then “Get Me Bodied” flopped and so did “Upgrade U.”
Meanwhile Fergie’s ugly ass was having one Top 5 hit after another.

No. I love CKB, and I’d love for it to be a single, but it wouldn’t be a huge hit. A better choice for a ballad would be something more radio-friendly and less AC-orientated, like “Fading”. To be honest, though, I don’t think either of those will be singles. My guess is that the next single will be “Cheers” and then “Raining Men” will be released this summer before she does a re-release with more upbeat hits.

I’ll put this into an analogy for you. Imagine that the music industry is a classroom. The pupils are all of the musical artists. My children in that classroom are Nicki Minaj and Rihanna. I totally agree. I meant the creativity aspect of it. With my comment, I was speaking from the general public’s perspective. Rihanna is certainly very creative (and underrated in that aspect), but it’s overshadowed by Gaga’s creativity, and thus, Gaga is considered more creative.
Also, I think Rihanna is a much more interesting artist musically than Gaga, and much more versatile. Rihanna’s done dance, R&B, pop, rock, country, dubstep, hip-hop, urban, reggae, and ska songs. Gaga’s done rock and dance-pop. Rihanna’s the most versatile artist in the music industry right now. Call me crazy, but that’s my honest opinion and I hate that her versatility is never recognized.

They both had major popularity from it, but Nicki capitalized on it with her album, new videos, performances and such. Kim just kept releasing diss tracks when she should’ve dropped a whole new single and an album soon thereafter “Black Friday”. My opinion, by the way, is that Pink Friday is better than every Kim album except The Notorious K.I.M and MAYBE, just POSSIBLY Hard Core.

I’d put PF above every about but Notorious K.I.M to, I used to say every album but Hardcore, but I think NKIM was the only Kim album that had some depth to it. Nicki’s sophomore effort better come HARD. She did amazing lyrically, but I’m going to need more raw storytelling, a little more songs about life rather than love, a huge club anthem and MUCH better production. Yes, BeYAWCE has such a thin voice. She’s just like Diana Ross. I still think it’s hit or miss that way with her too. I think that’s the only time though, that I see her being artistic and not really borrowing from those that inspire her so much that it’s an imitation(SOMETIMES). Her strengths lie in creating some intrigue, even though it may fall flat because it’s not a sensible concept that works as a theme. I’m not sure about whose strong as far is stage presence is concerned. Gaga at the Grammy’s was lacking so much and I feel like it’s because she didn’t have as many distractions(besides the egg/vessel)… I thought she struggled and I saw all of her limitations. Rihanna was better that night! … Still I personally feel that Bey does well in every department. Some people will say that her videos aren’t up to par and that she’s never creative in them – but she’s a dynamic performer. She’s raw entertainment and I think those video were very good performance videos. I totally agree. TNKIM not only had great verses but great lyrics. Aside from that album, though, Kim makes weak albums. Some good singles, but weak albums. With Nicki, I totally agree with you. Pink Friday was a great album lyrically, but the beats weren’t up to par. She better have AMAZING beats next go round, and I expect her to do some more great collaborations, a few more artistic things, songs about ALL aspects of life, and then of course the club anthem. The closest thing PF has to a club anthem is “Check It Out”, so I want something BIG.

SO true! Gaga has a lot of creativity and does some very interesting things, but it’s all about the shock factor with her. She has the talent, and she’s made two pretty good albums, but I want her to rely less on the shock factor. I am a bit worried for BTW, though. She has crazy stans, so I don’t think she will need to worry, but the Grammy performance was so underwhelming and dull that, if the BTW era is like that, would be cause for worry if it weren’t for the stans.
As for Beyonce, I don’t know. I think Beyonce is great with everything but videos. She’s made some spectacular videos (“Single Ladies”, “Sweet Dreams”, “Crazy In Love”, “Beautiful Liar”), but her videos are always kind of boring to me.

Her VMA performance of “Ring The Alarm” was one of the most memorable performances of the night.
She never said she wrote Irreplaceable by herself. You can find plenty of interviews of her saying Ne-Yo wrote it. She contributed to the song by helping with the harmonies, melodies and vocal arrangement, hence her getting a co-writing credit. Even Ne-Yo had to break things down to make it easier for trouble-making idiots like you to understand.
She never had her name removed from the credits of “Listen”. The Academy rules dictate that only the THREE PRIMARY writers of a song get credit for an award/nomination, and Beyoncé’s name came in dead last on the credit, so she wasn’t eligible to have her name included on the nod.
Beautiful Liar was huge here, even without reaching #1. And it went to #1 in more than 30 countries.
Fergie should’ve been selling more for someone who was “having one top 5 hit after another”.

100 percent agree about PF. I think she definantly needs to take some risks this next go around! With Take Care, I want amazing storytelling, soulful and haunting production, a couple of huge club bangers, amazing collaborations from LYRICISTS, not hit makers, & some great R&B contribution. I want at least two all singing tracks, but LOTS of rapping. I need for Drake to get deep, go down to the darkest points of his life if he has to, and give us something that we ALL can relate to. He says it’ll speak for our generation, so we’ll see. I need this album to speak to my soul, like other Hip Hop classics, TML was shallow as hell excluding Fireworks. He even admitted it lacked emotion. I’m excited because he says he has no boundries this go around and promised long raps & interludes. He wants a classic. I think that Usher, Beyonce, Gaga, and Britney will become legends. Usher, Gaga and Beyonce for obvious reasons, and then Britney because she’s the American Dream in every way, you know? As for the others…I think Christina’s voice will always be remembered, but her success has never been enough for legendary status.
I think Trey will just be gone soon and no one will care, Kesha’s hype will die down within the next one-two years, and Katy’s going to become a huge star but never a legend. Chris COULD become a legend, but the incident will make that so much harder. It’s absolutely possible, though. I mean he is only in his early 20s. Justin is bound to become a legend at this rate. If his success continues at this rate, he could be on his way to becoming another Usher, no doubt about it. He’ll just have to reinvent himself successfully someday.
Lastly, for Rihanna. Rihanna has everything it takes to be a legend – she’s got the shock factor, she’s got the music, she’s got the success, she’s breaking records, and she’s got the talent. If she improves her performances and proves the naysayers wrong, like you said, she’ll become a legend.

Rihanna fans are a little volatile, Britney’s are sensitive (they take constructive criticism the wrong way) and get intense, Gaga’s are delusional(that term is so over done, but fitting here) and Bey’s probably have to finish what’s been started (over and over). I 100% agree with EVERYTHING you said. Your description of all the different stans are true. With videos, though, I just want to be wowed, and her videos are really underwhelming sometimes. Like her “Halo” (although it was subtle genius, and I loved the underwater scene) and “Ring the Alarm” videos. They aren’t that impressive to me.

Lmao about Take Care. I have such high hopes for that record, if it dissapoints, I don’t know what I’ll do. I’ve given Drake so many chances lol. I would LIKE for the album to drop in late May, early June. Knowing Beyonce though, we’ll most likely get it late June. I want a single by April, but I expect it in May. Who knows though, if the album’s basically wrapped up, maybe we’ll get it sooner than we think. Looking back at Beyonce’s career, she’s never REALLY hyped us up the way Gaga and Britney do. I can’t believe I’m the only one who thinks IASF is her best record to date. I just love that album, mostly for the I Am.. side. That half is nothing less than perfect. Also, the songs Radio, Sweet Dreams, Hello & Single Ladies are amazing to. The only person who agrees with me is @Drew. Lol
Bieber – No, He’ll be over by Christmas. He’s simply this generation’s Aaron Carter.
Ke$ha – will have another year at the most.
Christina – is talented, but her voice isn’t what it used to be. Still if she learns to humble herself, learn better vocal technique and treat her peers with more respect, there is no reason why she shouldn’t be an icon one day.
Rihanna – needs to improve a lot more vocally, performance-wise and dance-wise AND last another decade before we discuss her potentially iconic status.
Gaga – I stan for her but have had a problem with her recent geering towards ‘gimmickery’. Happily, after her stripped back performance at the Grammys, my doubts have been laid to rest. I feel she could be a legend one day. However, we’ll have to discuss this again in another decade or so.
Ciara – will need a miracle at this point to not become this generation’s Mya.
Beyonce – with almost fifteen years in the game, constantly improving, the backing of legends, peers etc. The fact that she has NEVER been irrelevant in more than a decade; she will be a living legend in the near future.
Britney – due to her success, the fact that in her prime she was one of the best performers in the game (and could be again), I feel she will be considered a living legend in the near future.
Katy Perry – love her, but I doubt she’ll still be around in five, let alone ten, years.
Chris Brown – incredible talent, drive, ambition. He’s still very young and people seem to be letting go of The Incident. I really feel he could be an icon, if not a legend some day.
Trey Songz – irrelevant at best. He has a decent singing voice, but can’t dance and relies on s** to have ‘hits’. Barely manages to go platinum. could never book a world tour successfully, cocky and arrogant. One day, his looks will fade and the show will officially be over.
Usher – Like B and Brit, on the fast track to legenddom. However, he needs to rebuild his stamina – his latest performances have bordered on shambolic in comparison to previous ones – and I want him to record more classics, and less bubblegum, five-minute-lasting hits.

I thought Drake’s So Far Gone EP/mixtape and his earlier mixtapes were pretty good, but then TML lacked all emotion and was so narcissistic and just plain bad. I’m glad I never bought it. Take Care better slay my soul, though, LOL.
As for Beyonce, if there’s only a song left, that will only take 1-3 weeks TOPS, so I think that the single will drop in mid-late April. The album is likely to drop in late June. My guess is it’ll drop a week or two before the Glastonbury Festival. But, yes. She always seems to just come out of the woodwork randomly with music.
With Ciara, I also want her to succeed but it’ll be difficult at this point. And I have NO idea what’s with her fans/stans. Yes, the last two albums were low-ish quality, but why were they such failures? And then for Justin, he reminds me of a young Usher. I mean Usher’s first album wasn’t iconic either! I think Justin will just have to make sure he doesn’t end up like other young teenage heartthrobs who are successful but lose their success after they pass the teenage years when all of their fans are young and in love with him (Jonas Brothers are a perfect example of that happening).

Beyoncé is a DEFINITE shoe-in for becoming a legend. Britney will be a legend alright, but not for the reasons that most musicians would hope to become legendary for. Christina, even though she’s always underrated and overlooked by the press, will become legendary for her voice. Gaga, oh God, that is the hardest one. She has EVERYTHING it takes to become a legend. But the problem is that she’s not really using those tools properly. She was really proving herself to be on the right track with TF and TFM, but after dropping the snooze-fest that is Born This Way, I’m starting to think that her ego might get in the way of her improving on herself musically. I mean, there’s already a bit of backlash going on with her. She’s getting more press for her crazy-ass outfits than her music, and that’s not good. She may be getting co-signed by legends, but I really feel that her image overshadows her music.
The one thing that is holding Robyn back is her performances. They’re so lackluster. She has the music, the videos, and the image, but the lack of stage presence and vocals… girl, no. Does she not watch her own performances?
Ke$ha will be forgotten by next year.
Katy will continue to remain in the public’s consciousness, but as a personality, not as a musician.
Usher fell off so badly after Confessions, but I think he’ll be legendary.

There were quite a few songs on IASF that I felt were only good/OK because B sang them – because of the harmonies, runs etc she added. The instrumentals were sometimes just OK – and I didn’t find that acceptable. Especially as after B’day, I knew what the Queen was capable of.
IMO, There should have only been five singles off IASF, and they are as follows:
If I Were A Boy/ Single Ladies
Halo/Sweet Dreams
Radio ft. Lady Gaga
THAT SHOUL.D HAVE BEEN IT. Video Phone as a song is beneath B. Diva, as I mentioned earlier, is an album song. Fantastic as B’s vocals on BHG were, that song shouldn’t even have been on the album.
And the budget for each video after SL should have been 500K MINIMUM. B and Columbia can afford it.

Hopefully we get it in April! I can’t take this anymore. I came into this year excited for 5 albums: Beyonce, Lupe Fiasco, J Cole, Chris Brown & Drake. As of now I only have real updated for Chris and Lupe. My patience is wearing thin! Lol. I really hope her lead single is different, she’s extremely versatile. I’m not sure what I want yet, but I know it needs to be different and it needs to keep up with Britney & Gaga’s records. I’m more excited to hear the final prduct than the lead single. We all know Beyonce has a funny way of choosing singles lmao.
As for Justin, I could see some Usher in him. I think that’s the difference between him and othe t*** icons. He has a rising legend backing him and is more universal than those Disney stars. Hopefully, everyone will get pass this hating Bieber stage. It’s much harder to be a musician this day and age. I think Kate Bush is highly underrated, but that is mainly due to the fact that she only toured once in her entire career, and I think she is considered a legend, just that she receives little recognition outside her homeland, IMO.
Missing Persons, I’m personally not a fan of theirs, but prior to Gaga, I think most people didn’t even know/remember them.
Terrence Trent D’Arby, even though he had an ego that could rival Kanye’s, he is a VERY talented singer and performer, and I think people greatly overlook that. Too bad his ego killed his career, I fear that Gaga might become the Terrence Trent D’Arby of this generation.

YESSSSS! Preach! I think that is SOOOO true! Beyonce has three completely different albums, which is one of the reasons I think people look ignorant when they say “she’s boring” or that she needs to change it up. Really? None of her albums are similar, other than her signature vocal arrangements/melodies/backgrounds. Yeah, of course. I think RB has a carribean flavor, and who else to bring that carribean swagger and extremely distinct tone to a smash like Rihanna. Alot of her songs are MADE for her and her voice is MADE for alot of her songs. It’s crazy sometimes how she doesn’t have much vocal ability, but her voice can fit a song like a glove, i.e. one of my fave songs in particular, “Man Down.” The description to that song for me: SLAYED.

@ Amazing Lee, for some reason B’day is a standout (even thought her other 2 albums surpassed that one in sales). She was the first to do the experimentaion that you see in most recent albums that are being released. i feel like that concept really picked up after that contribution to music she’s made. I still think it’s hard picking out her moment, Crazy in love felt like it and DIL just was a break out album and start of an incredible ride. We all knew it was giving birth to that. Bday – was just artistic and you really saw what Bey was capable of. Some songs really allow you to see that versatility (Resentment, Suga Mama and then Irreplaceable (the anthem) was very impressive. Finally S.L. – what gets more dynamic that that! Seriously! I know I’m sounding like she’s the sun and moon, but Beyonce really is special and that was all just perfectly done10/10!

I just want the album from her that is hands down the career-defining one, you know? What do you think is her career defining one thus far? As for Rihanna, I’m not sure. If Loud continues to have major single success and sell like it is, and all goes well with the tour, she may outdo GGGB. Granted a re-release does well, too. But, she needs to pick up the performances. The GGGB era had at least decent performances, and she’s been lazy lately. I don’t think Loud will ever be seen as THAT Rihanna album, though. That will always be GGGB, in my opinion. You?

I think Bey will really be remembered for all 3 because DIL really touched alot of people and means alot to them as well(oddly enough even her haters). For me B’day was just really impressive musically. I love her vocals on IASF though.
For Rihanna GGGB was great (filled with some really great material like Loud). To be honest though, Rated R really impressed me (and I didn’t realize that at the time). So I’d have to give it to her for that one. Firebomb is AMAZING!

Justin Bieber – Not an icon. He’ll eventually pass as did previous t*** heartthrobs like the Jonas Brothers, Backstreet Boys, etc. even though he’s insanely HUGE right now.
Beyonce – Will definitely be a legend
Britney – I have a feeling she’s gonna retire off this album. She doesn’t have the drive or motivation she used to have, and judging by HIAM (even though its great) she still doesn’t have her own iconic sound yet.
Rihanna – Has everything it takes to be a legend. Image, great music, likeable public persona, everything she does is newsworthy, versatility, etc. I hope by the end of the Loud era/tour she’ll be up to par vocally (see the improvement from Rated R to LOUD) and learn to really WORK the stage. She needs the motivation and drive (performing wise) Beyonce has.
Lady GaGa – I actually think Lady GaGa will fade away. I think the BTW era will be successful, but her shock value will run out fairly soon. She can’t outdo herself forever. She’s a great performer, has great live vocals, etc.

BeYAWNCE will NEVA EVA be a legend. Queen Ciara’s return will completely overshadow her next album. Once Ciara is signed to a new label, with new producers, she’s coming back for WIGS. Beyonce doesn’t have the talent to be anyone’s “legen” beside her stans. Her voice is OK at best, and her dancing consists of p**** popping and shaking her flat ass. She’s never done ANYTHING iconic.

The only other person I’ve said that to (if memory serves me well) was Rihanna Forever, and I don’t recall seeing you comment about Amy singing Russian Roulette, so I think it’s pure coincidence that we’ve both said the same thing.
But yes, her voice would really give that song the emotional vulnerability to really bring the lyrics to life (no pun intended, lol). In fact, I think Rated R, except for the uptempo songs, would’ve been the ideal solo album for Amy. So would some songs on Loud, like Man Down, Skin and California Kind Bed.

Yeah, I have a HUGE temper to. I don’t allow anyone to walk allow anyone to ever walk all over me & throughout high school I always got in fights because of it. I learned this though, I don’t always have to stoop down to their level. I say kill em with kindness. Be respectful when standing up for yourself but also let them know they can’t f*** with you. Beyonce’s singles are different from her album sales. If you are talking strickly about album sales then she has only sold 23 to 25 million albums. That is good but nothing spectacular for an artists of her stature. All of Beyonce’s albums have been goo/great, but she doesn’t really have nothing that has given her that exclamation mark yet, like this is her monumental album. As i said earlier she has even more pressure on her than Gaga/Britney because they make music predominantly for the Pop audiences. Beyonce’ still has to cater to Urban/Pop. It’ll be difficult for her to do what they have done with their singles, as far as instant success goes. If her single is monstrous and receives great airplay it’ll probably do great things. But lets not be ridiculous, because she will not blow them out of nothing.
Beyonce’s fans act as though her music is of biblical proportions. She has some good music and nice tracks, but they aren’t anything groundbreaking. Her personality is bland, and her look has become stagnant. She needs to amp things up. It’s funny how her stans like to critique every other artists up and down, but the only thing they can critique about her is her videos, lol really. She needs to get more creative, edgier, and put a different spin on her music. Beyonce’ has a large following, however she still has to come with it.
As of now her profile has been kind lowkeye. People are talking about Britney/Gaga don’t forget that they’re singles have already went to number 1 in a number of countries around the world, not to mention that they both were basically number 1 smashes out of the gates in the states. Both of them will do great things. Beyonce’ is the one that has to come with something great.
Moving on as far as Ciara goes, her label did her wrong, with the right producers she’ll be good, she keeps on keeping on. She’s very likeable, and people wanna see her do well. JLo, she doesn’t give up. If she can score some hits, and a good amount of airplay she’ll do well. With her being on idol, that’ll only increase the awareness about her album, it was probably a strategic move, on her and her teams behald. She’s been making alot of positive moves as of late. Don’t count her out.

Another thing is alot of artists can be success at once. There is no need to constantly compare them, they each bring something different to the table. Just appreciate what it is that you like about their music. Signs of insecurity > when you have to knock another artist because your favorite artist is releasing new music. If one is confident and understands that their favorite artist makes great music and is doing great things, then you won’t even bother with the back and forth rhetoric. Yeah you can debate but do it logically.

To Answer your question@ RihannaForever….Whom would you guys consider, of the current major pop and R&B stars (Beyonce, Britney, Christina, Gaga, Rihanna, Kesha, Katy, Usher, Justin Bieber, Trey Songz, Chris Brown), to be on their way to being a legend?
Beyonce, Usher, Britney, Christina are already legends(though I feel C-Tina’s legacy is bit overrated but she has one). They have acts coming into the industry that are influenced by them, they helped define the decade of the 2000s and their music is still relevant in mainstream entertainment today.
Chris B has the potential to be. He just needs to have a defining era that brings him on the road where eventually he will have acts influenced by him because he has his OWN lane and the others follow him. But he has the talent, a great performer.
Justin Bieber…one in the long line of T*** Heartthrobs, but can he go beyond that? That’s his obstacle and I don’t see it. I can see him always being typecasted from that. Kind of like Donny Osmond.
Katy Perry? No. She getting some Grammy Buzz already but I see her as the Caucasian answer to Rihanna truthfully and that will hamper her. I do see her trying to get away from that though. Maybe I could be wrong on my answer but right now…no.
Kesha? No. Not because she lacks talent either(she actually has talent.) but her problem is trying to set herself apar WITHOUT the gimmicks. I could see her a lesser version of Ciara’s career right now and that means she will burn out sooner rather than later.
Gaga? Hmmmm. She’s already made an impact on the industry. I said this in a thread discussing her that the thing for her is that she attracted a lot of casual music fans. If she can convert a lot of them to true Monsters then…that will ensure longevity for her. She has her lane but I would like to see her expand a little too. So she won’t be seen as just as the 2000s answer to Madonna/Cyndi Lauper. She has the talent to do it, whether her label would want her to is another topic of discussion.
Trey Songz: Good voice, but has quite set himself apart yet. You can tell he’s influenced by R.Kelly and he is going to need to set himself apart from that.
And though you didn’t mention her…Rihanna: Already a Diva. I am not as enthused of her music as others are, but the girl has 9 #1s for a reason and many of her songs will be play on radio for yeasrs to come(i.e. Umbrella, Rude Boy, Don’t Stop the Music, Unfaithful and even Pon De Replay). I already said to you the ONE thing that would bring to the next level which is why I want her to improve her performing. If she does this, then as even as a non fan, yes she could get there and if you asked me this before GGGB era, I would lol in people’s faces saying this.
