R&B songstress Alicia Keys appeared on the Japanese television show ‘Sukkiri’ recently. The singer took part in an interview and performed the first US single from her ‘The Element of Freedom’ LP, ‘Doesn’t Mean Anything’. Check out the performance below:
D. Blanks also shot some new promotional pics for the Destiny’s Child’s alumni’s forthcoming LP. Check out the stunning snaps below:
Tidbit: Kelly is currently in Los Angeles putting in studio time with Toby Gad (Beyonce’s ‘If I Were A Boy’, Fergie’s ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’) and the one and only Babyface! {Source}
Alexandra Burke continues her promotional campaign for new single ‘Broken Heels’, this morning performing the song on GMTV a few minutes ago. {Skip to about the 2.10 mark}
It goes without saying that Ms. Burke was using a backing track, which in this instance is allowable considering the intense routine and the fact we all know she has vocals for days. In fairness to Alex and her fellow talented vocalists, everyone has their limitations when it comes to singing or dancing. Lip-syncing when standing there is an entirely different situations (*cough* Mariah *cough*). In any case, enjoyable performance.
R&B star Monica took to the stage in Baltimore this past weekend to perform a special concert. During her set, the veteran journeyed back to her past hits as well as giving live renditions of her newer material. Above you can see how she faired with new single ‘Everything To Me’, as well as buzz single (and the theme to her BET reality series) ‘Still Standing’. As ever, Ms. Arnold knocked it out of the park. Can’t wait for the album.
Tidbit: According to the video description, Mo was actually sick over the weekend, however you’d never be able to tell judging by how great she sounded here.
Video model Cassie has been working on her new album ‘Electro Love’ for quite some time. Emerging from those studio session is a track entitled ‘F*ck You Silly’ which features rapper Nicki Minaj. Diddy’s ‘special friend’ will be releasing the album later this year.
The beat goes hard on this track but that is its only selling point. How did this girl manage to get a record contract? She is literally speaking her way through the song. Scratch that, we all know how she got and kept her record deal.
Jordin Sparks and Steph Jones in Beverly Hills, California recently. The duo attended L’OREAL Paris party at the Four Seasons Hotel. Peep more images below:

Ke$ha hit the stage at an album release party in Toronto, Canada recently. The singer performed ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ from her debut album ‘Animal’. The LP hit #1 on the Canadian charts after being released in that country on January 5th.
Ke$ha certainly had a lot of fun during that performance. However, I am yet to see any variation in her stage shows that makes me understand the hype. Nonetheless, she is still ‘new’ and may have a few tricks up her sleeve.
Christina Aguilera made an appearance at the 67th Annual Gold Globe Awards yesterday. The singer presented one of the trophies alongside her ‘Burlesque’ cast mate Cher. Peep more pics below:
Following the cancellation of a date this week on her ‘Monster Ball’ tour due to ‘exhaustion’, Lady GaGa has pulled out of more gigs citing the same reason. Check out the report via our good friends over at GaGa Daily:
Due to exhaustion and dehydration, Lady Gaga collapsed and passed out before her show last night in West Lafayette, IN. Her physician has advised her to take a few days off to rest. As a result – the following shows are cancelled:
January 16 – Borgata Casino, Atlantic City
January 17 – Oakdale Theatre, Wallingford CTThe January 18 performance at Mohegan Sun Arena is postponed. A new rescheduled date is to be announced. Tickets for the January 18 Mohegan Sun date will be honored at the rescheduled date. Refunds can be made at point of purchase.
Ticket holders for the cancelled shows will have first access to tickets for the new date(s) to be scheduled. Those dates will be announced in the near future.
As awesome as it feels to watch and see the development of one of music’s future greats, the intensity of GaGa’s schedule is worryingly scary. For real, in between the video shoots, album recording, promotional spots and now touring the world, it literally seems like she’s been going full-on for the last year and a half – which makes eventual burn-out much more likely. Here’s wishing her a speedy recovery, though.
