Check out our girl Kelly Rowland at Mansions in Miami last night, for the ‘F*ck Me, I’m Famous event’ (which formed part of the Winter Music Conference). The singer was snapped backstage, in this daring ensemble, prior to debuting her brand new single ‘Commander’ live on stage.

While footage of the performance, which by all accounts was hot fire, should become available soon, Kelly shared a few tidbits with fans in an exclusive Ustream video chat just before she rocked the stage. Included were the fact that noted choreographer Fatima Robinson (Aaliyah, Black Eyed Peas) is her new choreographer and that it was Robinson who conjured up the (quote-on-quote) ‘sick’ routine for ‘Commander’. What’s more, select directors have been sent the song to come up with the videos concept, and perhaps most randomly, it took Rowland 30 minutes to don the pictured outfit!

R&B star Fantasia Barrino opened up WWE’s Wrestlemania 26 with a special performance of ‘America The Beautiful’. Check out her performance from the event, which itself is taking place right now at Arizona’s University of Phoenix Stadium, above…{performance starts at the 0.52second mark}

A little over-sung in places, however a powerful rendition all the same. As ever, Fantasia delivered!

Randomness: I’m a big WWE fan! HBK v Undertaker is going to be a classic…I can feel it (Michaels for the win)!

Leona Lewis was spotted in Hollywood last evening. The singer attended Perez Hilton’s 32nd birthday party at Paramount Studios where she performed her smash hit ‘Bleeding Love’.

What do you think of her look?

‘The performance that shocked the world’ is no doubt how many will remember Madonna, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera‘s showing at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, this week’s classic From The Vault video. Featuring the now-infamous ‘kiss’, this medley of ‘Like A Virgin’, ‘Hollywood’, and the Missy-Elliott assisted ‘Work It’ certainly goes down in history as of music television’s most risqué moments. However, after re-watching this 7 years later, I can’t decide whether it was actually any good or just great car-crash television?!

Like most, it was awesome seeing such a celebrated artist like Madonna grace the stage with former chart-rivals Britney and Christina. However, judging by the amount of shade thrown in the audience (Mary J, 50 Cent & Eminem, Snoop…spot anymore?!) it seemed more laughable than anything else LOL. Judge for yourself, check out the vid above…

Randomness: Christina’s vocals were on fire! Britney’s had a great backing track….  😉

Rihanna hit the stage at the 2010 ‘Kids Choice Awards’ just moments ago. The self-proclaimed role model for young girls performed a medley of her biggest hits including ‘Hard’, ‘Rude Boy’ and ‘Please Don’t Stop The Music’. Check out the performances below:

Justin Bieber just performed at the 2010 ‘Kids Choice Awards’. The young singer did a rendition of his new song, ‘Baby’, which stands as the first single from his recently released ‘My World 2.0’ album. The track  has thus far peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #96 on the Hip-Hop/R&B chart.

Reggae-Pop pioneer Sean Paul has been off the music radar for some time now, however the Jamaican made a rare appearance at a basketball game yesterday (March 26th) – sporting an interesting new hair cut; trading his renown cornrows for a low mohawk.

Paul was at the Detroit Pistons vs New Jersey Nets game at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in New Jersey, accompanying friend Ottis Anderson, formerly of the New York Giants (also pictured).

While earlier reports suggested Rihanna was wrapping up her ‘Rated R’ campaign, fans of the talented model can breathe a sigh of release. According to the latest UK single schedules, the 22 year old is set to release the will.i.am assisted ‘Photographs’ as her next single on May 24th.

Word has it that, thereafter, no further singles will be released from the moderately successful LP. As at writing, it’s unknown whether song will be a general or International release.

————————————————————————-

Though the song isn’t as bad as some of the album’s remaining material, I can’t see how it will capitalise off ‘Rude Boy’s’ worldwide success. It’s neither as instant nor anywhere near as good. It’s times like this which highlight why it would have benefited the ‘Rated R’ project if things weren’t moving so hastily and time was taken with each release. Then again, with the singles not doing much (‘Rude Boy’ aside) and the album struggling to meet sales expectations, her team likely saw it fit to throw as much out there as possible and see what sticks. Whether ‘Photographs’ will indeed ‘stick’ will be interesting to see.

Recent history has shown the web to be the place to discover new talent – talent which is undeniably out there in abundance. So what better way to give shine to undiscovered talent than on your favourite site and mine – That Grape Juice!

This week’s Cover Star is Shanterrial . The 23 year old Chicago-based music student serves up her own rendition of Monica‘s recent R&B smash ‘Everything To Me’. Check it out below:

Solid showing! With the song being one which requires much in the way of a technically-sound vocal, Shanterrial really nailed it. Loved it.

With the Sugababes‘Sweet 7’ project in turmoil, the ladies are looking to their collaboration with rapper Sean Kingston ,’Miss Everything’, in a last ditch effort to revive the album’s sales. The song, as confirmed by Radio 1, will serve as the official next single from the record.

Though a little pessimistic upon hearing Sean Kingston’s name, The Smeezingtons-produced track is one of the album’s finer moments; hence is by no means a bad single pick (although why ‘She’s A Mess’ is consistently being overlooked is beyond me). Unfortunately for the ladies, though, it’s appearing that with each passing day, their time legitimately looks to be up. Whether the release of ‘Miss Everything’ changes that will be interesting to see. I won’t hold my breath, though.
