Despite seeing the reboot of its one-time flagship series, ‘TRL,’ sink as soon as it launched (click here to read more about that), MTV is still looking breathe new life into some of their hit 90s and 2000s shows by bringing them to a new audience.

Next up?  ‘The Real World.’

Branded by many as the “granddaddy of reality shows,” Real World’ first premiered in 1992 and ran for a whopping 32 seasons before being yanked of the air in January of 2017.  Now, not even two years since its departure, the good folks at MTV are set to reboot and revamp the series.  Look inside to see how:

‘Empire’ may have wrapped its fourth season Wednesday (May 23), but Jussie Smollett is busier the ever.

The 34-year-old actor/producer/singer is putting that latter hat into high gear in support of his long-awaited debut album, ‘Sum of My Music.’  With a world tour underway (click here to see dates), Smollett – alongside Stateside supporting act June’s Diary – took to ‘The Real’ recently to not only dish on the venture but also give prospective concertgoers a taste of what to expect.

In 2017, the respected attorney Phaedra Parks was asked not to reprise her role in the hit series ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ after it emerged that she was behind claims that her co-star Kandi Burruss had joked about assaulting their mutual friend Porsha Williams.

Hidden from viewers was a deeper layer of the story which saw Carlos King, one of its producers, named as the man who allegedly used Parks and Porsha to weave the lie into the show’s storyline in a bid to hurt Burruss who he was said to be feuding with.

Now it appears that this fact has lifted some of the weight Parks was forced to carry alone and seen her return to the series.

‘The Real Housewives Of Potomac’ are back!

April 1st serves as the premiere for the popular Bravo show’s third season – and there ante has officially been upped.

Past instalments have seen etiquette serve as the center of conflict. However, the show’s third cycle sees drama between the Maryland matriarchs escalate like never before.

‘Potomac’ originals Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, and Robyn Dixon are back in the mix. As is last season’s addition Monique Samuels.

No nonsense newcomer Candiace Dillard (a former Miss America) has been cast as a full time Housewife – replacing Charrisse Jackson-Jordan who will now appear in a “Friend Of” capacity.

For many a millennial, ‘Moesha’ was more than a TV show.

Indeed, its themes, performances, and stars resonated with viewers in a major way; a reality that left many crushed when the series came to an end in 2001 after six seasons.

In a testament to its enduring impact, ‘The Real’ made the masses stop, look, and listen this morning when it reunited the cast of the hit sitcom.

Lead star Brandy was joined by all of the surviving main cast – Sheryl Lee Ralph, Shar Jackson, Countess Vaughn, William Allen Young, Marcus T. Paulk, and Ray J.
