Tinashe‘s sophomore album may have been titled ‘Joyride’ – yet the journey to its release has been anything but.

The follow-up to her 2014 debut ‘Aquarius’ has been teased since late last Summer. Yet, almost a year on, it’s still missing in action.

To complicate matters, the 23-year-old singer has not only revealed that she feels the album is done, she embarked on and completed an American tour in support of the project – which, of course, is still not out. Muddying the waters even more is the fact that the LP has thus far spawned several songs including ‘Player (ft. Chris Brown)’ and ‘Party Favors.’

In recent months, the rising star has maintained a silence of sorts. However, it’s becoming clear she hasn’t been relaxing. She’s been working with super-producer Timbaland.

Pop pin-up Nick Jonas revs up his ‘Chainsaw’ on the second single from his sophomore album ‘Last Year Was Complicated.’

Served as the follow-up to lead effort ‘Close’ (which peaked at #35 on the Billboard Hot 100), the hard-hitting track has been paired with a cinematic visual. One which is laced with ample replay value.

With just a month away from the release of his sophomore solo album ‘Last Year Was Complicated,’ you can expect to see much of hitmaking heartthrob Nick Jonas on your screen and newsstands in the coming weeks.

After lending an electrifying performance his latest hit ‘Close’ to ‘Ellen’ this week, fans can now find the ‘Jealous’ crooner taking to the LGBT-publication OUT magazine where he serves as the June/July 2016 coverboy.

Dishing on everything from his new music, love life, and more, Jonas also hits back at critics who claim he’s ‘gay-baiting,’ or intentionally pandering to the LGBT-audience, by taking on several gay roles on television.

Tinashe‘s ‘Joyride Tour‘ made its way to Santa Ana recently.

There, before the unveiling of its parent album of the same name, the rising starlet rocked her audience with a performance of her single ‘All Hands on Deck.’

Much to the surprise of those who’d praised its supporting visual the song bombed on the U.S. charts. However, that’s done all of nothing to stop the promising Urban Pop princess from pushing the cut with performances like the one served up at The Observatory below…

Well, that didn’t take long.

Chris Brown has hit back at Tinashe following her comments about about his conduct towards her and Kehlani.

As widely reported, C. Breezy was pummelled by the press after claiming Kehlani’s suicide attempt was a publicity play. In the immediate aftermath, he was unfollowed on Twitter by a number of artists – including Tinashe, who he has just collaborated with on her single ‘Player.’

His response at the time? To shade the careers of all.

Now, after his label-mate voiced her view on the matter (in a rather politically correct manner), Brown wasted no time clapping back.

Last week ‘Run It’ singer Chris Brown saw his name running across headlines for all the wrong reasons again.  Indeed, shortly after slamming R&B songstress Kehlani‘s widely reported suicide attempt as “attention seeking,” the Grammy winning beau only brought more negative attention to himself for going off on former collaborators Zendaya and Tinashe for allegedly unfollowing him on social media because of those comments.

Tinashe‘s ‘Joyride’ era may be off to a worrying start but that’s done all of nothing to stop her efforts to promote the forthcoming set.

Her latest stop? San Diego, where she performed the U.S. National Anthem for the Dodgers Opening Day.

There, following in the footsteps of rivals Beyonce & Ciara, she performed the number for sports-loving fans after launching the ‘Joyride Tour’ and before she hopes to impact the Billboard Hot 100 with new material.
