Look at her now sounds about right.

It’s been nearly three years since Selena Gomez released new music from an official studio album and fans apparently couldn’t wait to get their eyes and ears on the latest from the Pop darling.  Dropping not one, but two new singles just a day apart, Gomez stunned fans with the haunting ballad, ‘Lose You To Love Me,’ before unveiling the uptempo ‘Look at Her Now.’  While the latter is looking to make its inaugural appearance on next week’s refreshed Hot 100, the former stormed digital sales, streaming, and radio tallies (as we reported here) to make a #15 premiere on this week’s singles chart.

Billboard also reports:

‘[‘Lose You to Love Me’ enters the Hot 100 with] 36,000 sold (digital sales), 15.3 million streams, and 14.1 million in radio audience impressions.’

Coming as the second-most impressive Hot 100 entrance of her career (following 2015’s #9 debut of ‘Good For You’), ‘Lose You’s first week performance is all the more impressive considering the song impacted charts based on just two days of sales counts due to its unconventional release date.

As we extend our congratulations to Selena, look inside to see who joins her in the top 25 of this week’s edition of TGJ Chart Check:

If real-time sales and streaming charts are anything to judge by, Selena Gomez fans apparently couldn’t wait to get their hands on new music.

The elusive chanteuse – who spent most of the year putting the final touches on her yet-titled third studio effort – roared back onto the scene this week in grand fashion with not one, but two singles – ‘Lose You To Love Me’ and ‘Look at Her Now.’  Two feminist anthems that have had tongues wagging as their content all but points to the deterioration of her high profile relationship with Pop star Justin Bieber, the chatter has translated into success as a recent peruse of real-time tallies sees Gomez dominating the competition with the new tunes.

After a lengthy spell on the bench, Pop songstress Selena Gomez is back and in grand fashion!

On Tuesday (October 22), the 27-year-old sent fans into a frenzy when she released the music video for ‘Lose You to Love Me’ –  the long-awaited lead single from her forthcoming third album.  Tapping Sophie Muller to direct the visual, the song shot to #1 on iTunes charts a day later, just shortly before news was unveiled the songstress would release yet another single.

Entitled ‘Look At Her Now,’ the tune – penned by Gomez, Julia Michaels, Justin Tranter, and Ian Kirkpatrick – serves as a more upbeat offering than its ‘Lose You’ predecessor.  Speaking on the double release, she said:

“I felt having these two songs released back to back completed the story of how one can rise no matter what challenges life brings,” says Gomez. “Turning off the noise and living your life on your terms.”

Both videos were shot entirely on the iPhone 11 Pro.  See feminist anthems inside:
