Selena Gomez has seen her journey with mental health well-documented, including a highly publicized stint at a treatment facility for depression and anxiety.

Becoming a champion for related causes as a result, the 27-year-old has not shied away from discussing the topic in interviews – a stance reiterated recently when she visited fellow Pop star Miley Cyrus‘ IGTV talk show, ‘Bright Minded,’ on Friday (April 3).

While there, in addition to dishing on a number of topics including her support for healthcare workers and first responders during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, she also revealed she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

“Feels so, feels so, feels so good to dance again,” she coos over the Mattman & Robin-produced beat. “With my emotions undressed, I’m going in. With everything, to dance again.”

Showing off her best two-step, the ‘Me & the Rhythm’ maestra served viewers some sexy social distancing as she worked the camera by her lonesome in a silk slip dress.

With its chart-topping lead single, ‘Lose You to Love Me,’ top 30 hit, ‘Look at Her Now,’ and title track in tow, Selena Gomez took her highly anticipated third album, ‘Rare,’ to chart battle on January 10.

Industry analysts first predicted the Interscope set would shift 105,000-120,000 its first week (as we reported here), a feat that – if accomplished – could mark the highest first week sales of her career.  However, the ongoing success of the previous week’s chart champion, Roddy Ricch, not only created quite the tight race for the tally’s summit but also stood to see Gomez blocked from the top spot for the first time in her short music career (as a solo act).

Now, with ‘Rare’s inaugural sales in its rear view, Billboard has officially unveiled the project’s final first week count.  Look inside to see just how many units were “sold” and where it lands on this week’s chart list:

Selena Gomez accompanied the January 10th release of her third studio album, ‘Rare,’ by unveiling the music video for its title track.

A trippy, technicolor affair, the clip – directed by BRTHR – followed the successful Sophie Muller-directed visuals for the LP’s lead singles ‘Lose You to Love Me’ and ‘Look at Her Now.’

As its predecessors make their way down the Billboard Hot 100, Gomez and team turn the focus to ‘Rare’ – a proclaimed favorite of the singer’s from the new project.

Most recently unmasking the behind the scenes look at the music video’s creation, fans are invited to see just how all the magic came to be.  Look inside to see:

Selena Gomez kicked off her comeback era with the chart-topping hit ‘Lose You to Love Me,’ the first release from her long-awaited tertiary LP, ‘Rare.’

Despite the impressive lead-in, the set’s follow-up singles – ‘Look at Her Now’ and ‘Rare’ (album title track) – have shared ‘Lose’s critically acclaim but not exactly kept the momentum of their predecessors on the commercial front.

With the January 10th-released effort’s first week sales prediction already revealed (click here to read), it appears Gomez and team are turning attention back to its main hit to boost those figures.  The bid comes courtesy of an alternate version of the song’s Sophie Muller-directed music video.

While Selena Gomez‘s ‘Look at Her Now’s #27 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 pales in comparison to the chart domination of its ballad-esque predecessor, ‘Lose You To Love Me’ (as we reported here), that certainly doesn’t mean the Ian Kirkpatrick-produced cut hasn’t garnered its fair share of chatter.

In a bid to ignite further conversation around the uptempo number, however, the Pop star invites fans into a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of ‘Look’s music video.  Shot entirely on the iPhone 11 Pro, the Sophie Muller-directed clip not only sees the 27-year-old show off some footwork in front of and behind the lens but also sees her build anticipation for the song’s yet-titled parent album.
