It’s shaping up to be a good week for Grammy winning singer/songwriter Robin Thicke.

With the weeks past affording him his first #1 single on Billboard Hot 100 ‘Blurred Lines’, news has now surfaced that the top-selling, Pharrell/T.I.-assisted number is assisting Thicke to his first ever Billboard 200 reign (to be reflected upon the chart’s refreshing next week).

The ‘Sex Therapy’ performer, who has been on a weeklong promo of the new critically acclaimed album, made his most recent stop aboard tonight’s episode of ‘America’s Got Talent’.  Rejoining former ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ co-star Nick Cannon, see Thicke show ’em how it’s done with his show-stopping performance below:

As good it was, Lady GaGa‘s ‘Born This Way’ saw itself belaboured with inspiring but at times overbearing messages- lacking the subtlety she employed in the likes of ‘Paparazzi’.

Basically, for an album that stressed the importance of equality within humanity, the project did at times feel anything but human, switching ‘The Fame Monster‘s vulnerability for well meaning but stifling propaganda.

Now, the star’s producer DJ White Shadow has opened up the direction of her new single ‘Applause’ with Jann Wenner‘s ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine.

As with many a R&B newbie, Elle Varner really is one cheque away from nabbing the notoriety she truly deserves.

However, money was the least of her concerns recently, when she caught up with ‘Nitecap with Peter Bailey’ to dish on her forthcoming album, hours after performing at the ASCAP Music Awards.

During their conversation, the ‘Welcome Home’ cantante revealed that her second studio album- ‘Four Letter Word‘ had seen her craft a brand new genre of music….billed ‘Trap Jazz’.

Despite many a hit driven effort, very few Rap collectives can say they enjoyed a run as a fruit as Young Money‘s.

Being in the unique position of seeing all its acts (save for Shanell) reach household name status, the crew now find themselves monopolising Hip Hop and outperforming their Pop counterparts, (see Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake).

Alas, the latest chapter to this success story has seen fans read between the lines to find that the once united group may be bidding adieu to the aforementioned Drake, upon the veiling of these court documents.

More recently, it’s the performer’s absence from the crew’s forthcoming album that’s sparked fresh talk of his departure…forcing Minaj to bare all on the supposed beef.

Little more than three months ago, the world knew next to nothing of Lady GaGa‘s new album ‘ARTPOP’- met only with its title and confirmation of its release.

However, today tells a different story.

Indeed, with only 21 days left until its lead single ‘Applause’ becomes available purchase alongside pre-orders for the album itself, the Pop Svengali breaks her year long silence on the new release, baring all in an interview with ‘Women’s Wear Daily’.

Last month saw much ado made about the “reforming” of Danity Kane.

In the time since “those pictures” surfaced, some of the group’s members confused fans by continuing to push their solo endeavors.

However, while few details are known about the “reunion” project everyone’s been waiting for, it appears Aubrey, Dawn, Aundrea, and Shannon are letting their actions speak louder than words.

Taking to Instagram, a shot of the ladies in the studio was shared by producers The Freshmen, who cooked up Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj‘s latest single ‘Love More’. The caption attached read:

“Fun session with Danity Kane. They’re dope!”

As keen appreciators of what DK brought to the table, we’re salivating at the prospect of what they sound like in 2013. Hence, bring on that album/reality show already!

Tidbit: For those wondering where D.Woods is, she has gone on record to state a) she has prior commitments and b) was not contacted about the reunion. Meow.
