It was a match made in interview heaven.

R&B singer K. Michelle stopped by The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 today and true-to-form served up all sorts of “real”.

Refreshingly open, the ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta’ star embraced each question from Charlamagne and co, waxing honest about season two of the hit VH1 show, her new album, new label move, her relationship status, and much more.

Pink may be a soulful Pop rocker these days, yet – as anyone au fait with her colorful career will know – playful R&B is the arena she rose to prominence in.

Indeed, it was her 2000 debut ‘Can’t Take Me Home’ that propelled the singer to stardom, creating the way for her mainstream mega-seller ‘M!ssundaztood’ the year after.

Thirteen years and thirty hits later, the singer gave a nod to her Urban humblings with an R&B medley at the Los Angeles stop of her ‘Truth About Love Tour’ last night.

As reported here, ‘No Scrubs’ craftswoman Kandi Burruss has taken her million dollar pen to craft the new Marvin Sapp-enlisted gospel single ‘Stay Prayed Up’.

Burruss has made headlines since the January announcement of the tune’s development as some gospel music fans were unwelcoming (to say the least) of the dildo designing diva delivering new material for gospel radio.

Hear the new song below (teased on Sunday’s episode of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’) and read her response to critics:

Rihanna furthered the reach of her brand last night, when she arrived at London’s ‘Old Sorting Office’ for the launch of her River Island backed clothing line.

Welcomed with positive reviews, the high street line’s debut marked the latest fashion outing from the ‘No Love Allowed’ stunner, who launched her first reality TV show ‘Styled To Rock’ last year.

If you haven’t been following Lady GaGa‘s career of late, it may have become a little easy to forget just why her name oft shines brightest when placed next to most of her contemporaries.

It’s been a tricky few years for songbird Leona Lewis. Hailed as the second coming of Mariah Carey (with mammoth like success to match), the singer seemed poised for global superstardom.

Yet, a mishandled sophomore album and an incredibly mis-judged third album have left the Londoner in quite the precarious position.

And while not vocalizing the usual “artist done wrong” narrative that so many in her position employ, The X Factor alum is letting her actions do the talking instead.

Many will remember Brit singer Gamu for her controversial stint on The X Factor UK‘s 2010 series.

Indeed, who could forget the outrage generated by her sensational axing or the death threats levelled at judge Cheryl Cole for actioning it?! Three years later, we’re sure Gamu will be hoping the answer is “not many”. For, now 21, the Zimbabwe born singer has debuted her first single ‘Shake The Room’ and its accompanying video.

Lifted from her debut album ‘A Love Like This’, the song and parent LP is described as blending the best of the 1960’s Soul with the contemporary kick of today.

Peep the video below and let us know what you think, because we’re still trying to “process” what we just watched. See what we mean below…

As sophomore albums go, Alexandra Burke‘s effort ‘Heartbreak On Hold’ was criminally underrated. Released last May, the Dance heavy set was hailed by fans, yet shunned by certain media sects for reasons as puzzling now as they were then.

Hoping to appease all on bases on her next outing, the X Factor graduate has revealed that she’s slowing down the tempo and channelling a more Soulful sound for LP number three (which also dubs as her US debut).

Twenty years.

That would be how long mega-producer Jermaine Dupri has decorated Billboard charts with a slew of hits for the likes of Mariah Carey, Usher, Janet Jackson, and countless others.

Indeed, throughout a storied career of lending a passel of platinum plaques to many-an-Urban Pop favorite, Dupri is now looking to stroll down memory lane with an assembly of stars from his self-fronted record label ‘So So Def’ to celebrate reaching the two decade milestone.

Chatting exclusively with That Grape Juice, JD details the inspiration behind the anniversary special (likening it to ‘Motown 25’) and shares dibs on Mariah’s forthcoming album, thoughts on Bow Wow vs. Kandi, and addresses rumors he’s working on Janet Jackson’s newest record.

As the poster child for fourth wave feminism, recent years have seen Beyonce’s brand built on the right balance of inner strength and overt sexuality.

Proving that the term ‘bad b*tch‘ isn’t all that derogatory when used to praise her endless list of achievements, her last LP ‘4’ saw her ditch the fire and pizzazz that was 2006’s ‘B’Day’ and fully embrace a romantic vulnerability we hadn’t heard since ‘Gift From Virgo’.

Now, in a conversation with ‘Vogue’, she has revealed that her new album will be both sensual and empowering.
