“Fashion’s biggest night out” – better known as the Met Gala – is easily the most wonderful time of year for fashionistas and fashion-forward fellows.

A designer costume party that doubles as a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City, the outing is an annual assembly of Hollywood’s “who’s who” to show off some truly outrageous and over-the-top ensembles courtesy of top named and well respected designers.  As history has seen jaws dropped courtesy of gowns adorned by the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, and many more, 2022’s exhibition – christened ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’ – promised no different.

With actor-singer-playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, EMMY and ACADEMY Award winner Regina King and award-winning actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds serving as the night’s official chairs (while designer Tom Ford and ‘Vogue’s Anna Wintour continue as honorary co-chairs), look inside to see how they – and all the other big-named guests like Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Chloe Bailey, Camila Cabello, and others – turned heads with amazing their threads Monday night (May 2).

It gets lonely at the top;  just ask Justin Bieber.

Justin Bieber‘s already racked up 4 top 10 hits in 2020 alone (‘Stuck With U,’ ‘Yummy,’ ‘Intentions,’ and ‘Holy’), but it appears he’s already gearing up for lucky #5.

Just a month after unleashing the music video for the first effort from his forthcoming sixth studio album – his Chance the Rapper-assisted hit, ‘Holy’ (click here to watch) – the 26-year-old has unveiled news his newest release will drop this week.

Kanye West may be making more headlines for his personal and political antics than his professional, but diehard fans are still keeping their eyes and ears on his prized catalog.

Proof of this has come via the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) which recently updated its certification logs to better reflect West’s sales status in the United States.  From content found aboard his debut album, 2004’s ‘College Dropout,’ to his later works ‘Life of Pablo’ (2016) and ‘Ye’ (2018), the GRAMMY-winning rapper/producer saw over 30 of his songs upgraded in the RIAA books with the highest coming as the now 9x Platinum certified hit, ‘Stronger’ (2007).

His refreshed cumulative tally, which equates to approximately 105 million in digital U.S. sales, makes him the fifth most successful artist of the digital era – trailing only behind Drake, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Eminem.

The win makes him the first male artist who debuted in the 2000s to cross the 100M barrier in digital sales.  Look inside to see the updates:

In an industry as fickle as the music business, longevity can be an elusive concept.  For the lucky (but often deserving) batch who manage to see their respective impacts survive changing musical trends and tides, a particularly fortunate class – even among that small group – vaunt relevance.

Granted, the ageist industry sees less women than men score the latter, but the list of female acts who have remained competitive far beyond their commercial peaks – especially on Billboard – is nothing to dismiss.

The stars shine bright for one of Urban entertainment’s biggest calendar nights – the NAACP Image Awards! Broadcast live on BET from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in beautiful Pasadena, CA, the event – which honors the year’s best offerings from people of color in categories of film, music, television, and literature – tapped funnyman/actor Anthony Anderson as its host this year. It also see Rihanna saluted with the President’s Award.

But, before the coveted trophies were handed out, look inside to see who “won” the red carpet’s best looks!

Hosted by eccentric Pop diva Lady Gaga, the theme is reportedly inspired by a 1964 essay by famed novelist and filmmaker Susan Sontag that defines the term “camp” as “love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration.”

Mother Monster wasted no time embracing this, premiering a four-in-one ensemble!

For a moment in time, Kelis and Nas were considered couple goals and music royalty.

However, their acrimonious split – which has played out oh so publicly – has made clear that there was much more than met the eye with the union.
