As Kehlani prepares to make a splash on the R&B charts with their third studio album, the April 29-released ‘Blue Water Road,’ reports surfaced the LP may not see that success mirrored on the Pop charts.

En route to entering the Billboard 200 with their lowest first-week sales to date (as we reported here), the moderate commercial response to the project – according to some of her diehard fans – is due to the limited promotion its been afforded, especially related to live performances and interviews.

But, those hoping for a ramp up of the latter were dealt a surprising blow this week when the 27-year-old took to social media to confirm they will not be granting any more sit-down chats with media outlets.

Doja Cat pounces all over ‘Hound Dog’ – the 1952 Big Mama Thornton song later brought to worldwide fame by Elvis Presley – to interpolate the classic track in her contribution to the King of Rock N’ Roll’s forthcoming eponymous biopic.

Titled ‘Vegas,’ the Doja tune serves as the first official single from the June 24-due film’s accompanying soundtrack.

“You ain’t nothing but a Dog? Player, I get it / Fraud? Player, I get it / I understand, I understand / You ain’t the man, you ain’t a man / You ain’t nothing but a Hound dog, hound dog, hound dog,” she spits on the cut’s chorus.

Just weeks ago, Cat gave Coachella festivalgoers a taste of the energetic tune during her high octane set.  Now, she’s lifting the lid on the full version.
