Though hot on the promo trail in support of her latest album, ‘Good Morning Gorgeous,’ Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige is still soaking up all the laud and applause from her contribution to Sunday’s slamming Super Bowl Halftime Show (February 13).

A standout as the only lady on the star-studded roster (which also included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and 50 Cent), Blige brought her classic hits ‘Family Affair’ and ‘No More Drama’ to their largest audience yet via a 2-minute set.

For those who feel her time with the guys wasn’t long enough, Mary not only agrees but also approves suggestions that the six-some take the historic Hip Hop act on the road.

With Bobby Glenn’s 1976 ballad ‘Sounds Like A Love Song’ (famously featured in JAY-Z’s ‘Song Cry’) interpolated throughout, ‘Hate Our Love’ – the latest from Queen Naija – acts as a tribute to the greats and a taste of what’s to come.

Featuring fellow Detroit native Big Sean, ‘Hate’ comes as a tale about the challenges of keeping love alive amidst a sea of naysayers.

“They hate our love / Want to see us fall / They want to see us fall / They be hating on us / Wishing we would fall,” Naija croons on the Mike Woods-produced chorus.

Two weeks after premiering the song to thumbs up from her growing legion of fans, ‘Hate’ – which has already cracked the Billboard Hot 100 with a #88 debut on this week’s chart – sees its accompanying, Cam Busby-directed music video unveiled.

Nicki Minaj has one question to the Public Health Department of Philadelphia:  do we have a problem?

As previously reported, Minaj found herself the center of a firestorm of international controversy after publicly questioning the safety of the COVID-19 vaccines – even providing an anecdote about the potential of their negative impact on people by stating her cousin’s friend’s testicles were swollen after receiving a shot.

Months after that hoopla subsided, Philadelphia Public Health garnered media attention Thursday (February 17) for bringing it back up via posted screen shots of her aged tweets that referenced the vaccine drama.

After being swarmed with slams from Minaj’s faithful fans, affectionately called #Barbz, the rapper stepped in to finish the job.
