As Halle Berry gears up for the November 24 premiere of her new Netflix film, ‘Bruised’ (in which she also makes her directorial debut), the Academy Award winner’s ego may have suffered a bruise after she was unceremoniously slammed for crowning Cardi B the ‘Queen of Hip Hop.’

Cardi – who leads the charge for the movie’s all-female soundtrack (which arrives on digital shelves November 19) – earned big praise from Berry at the flick’s recent premiere event.

“I would like to say thank you today to Cardi B,” the 55-year-old movie star said. “She was my partner in crime. Of course, she’s the queen of hip hop. I reached out to Cardi and we paired and we created… a soundtrack and an album that is not only historic, but I think is a beautiful backdrop for this story.”

Once diehard fans of other female Rap stars caught wind of Halle’s comments, they flooded her social media handles with criticism.

Love her or loathe her, what can’t be denied is Saweetie is easily one of the hardest working women in Hip Hop.

Just days ahead of blazing the MTV EMA stage with hits ‘Tap In,’ ‘Best Friend,’ and more Sunday (as we reported here), the rapstress unwrapped a holiday special that saw her rock performances of the same cuts.

Hosted by ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ star Symone, the ‘Icy Season: A Saweetie Special’ (November 9) came as a partnership with Amazon and Calvin Klein as the ‘My Type’ maestra serves as the spokeswoman for the fashion brand’s newest collection.

“Working with Calvin Klein and Amazon to curate my own show was so amazing– it’s unlike anything I’ve ever done,” said Saweetie. “The holidays are super special to me and that’s something I wanted to share with my fans and give them something extra icy. The show has a lot of firsts – new songs, new dances, and a bunch of surprises that I was so excited to bring to life.”

When not answering Q&A from her fans, affectionately called the #IcyGang, Saweetie was sharing fashion tips and rocking the stage.  Look inside to see how she fared:

Much like during the backlash that consumed most of his summer (as we extensively reported here), DaBaby – when in the midst of drama – doesn’t mind trying to pivot the conversation to his new music.

As fans of the GRAMMY nominee know, he is currently dominating headlines thanks to a highly publicized spat on IG live with baby mama/on-and-off-again girlfriend DaniLeigh (whom he deemed his ‘certified side b*tch’).

Instead of wallowing in the negative press, DaBaby is pressing play on new tunes housed on his November 12-released EP, ‘Back on My Baby Jesus Sh*t Again’ – namely its latest single, the OG Parker and London On Da Track-produced ‘Roof.’

In late September, Ashanti sent her fans into a frenzy when she took to ‘The Tamron Hall Show’ to reveal she was set to re-record her biggest hits (as we reported here).

The news – of particular importance for the R&B diva who is just 6 months away from celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of her eponymous debut album – was trumpeted again during a recent interview on ‘The Angie Martinez Show.’

While there, the GRAMMY winner dished on a number of hot topics in her life including the “awkward” #VERZUZ reunion with ex-boyfriend/rapper Nelly, remembering DMX, working on a tell-all documentary, getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and more.  But, it’s the discussion about the ownership of her music that really got tongues wagging – chiefly that of her Murder Inc. Records CEO Irv Gotti.
