Beyonce Update
Beyonce has been on a whirlwind promotional trip here in Europe as of late, plugging her International single ‘If I Were A Boy’. The former Destiny’s child front-woman performed the hit on Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. As ever, she delivered a stellar performance. Good stuff (though, I’m sure everyone is itching for a ‘Single Ladies’ live performance instead!)
Ms. Knowles’ new single ‘Ego’ (which will be one of two new singles released. The other being ‘Halo’) has surfaced in full form too. Listen below:
Wow. Beyonce is really feeling herself with this one (check that ‘Piano’ part LOL). She has good reason, though – the song is a winner. Kanye West is said to be on the song’s remix. Watch this space.

The song is catchy but that’s about it. I’m glad she’s finally admitting she’s a walking,talking EGO. There’s nothing humble about that woman. I must say though;I feel like vocally she’s slipping. Her falsetto makes me cringe. It was a harsh crackly mess which kind of contradicted her lyric “I don’t need no beat. I can do it with piano” because when she sang with the piano she sound like she had a bad cold. I don’t know,maybe I’m just being hard on her because I’m used to Kelly’s flawless falsetto. Even Solange has a better falsetto. She does not have a better open voice though. This song is typical Beyonce and I was hoping for something less predictable. Maybe that’s asking too much.

well the performance at the EMA’s was intense….and here weave was jacked at the WMA’s lol i hate to admit it since i am a big fan of hers….as for Ego its cute…sounds like Kitty Kat meets Good Good …i think she may have snuck in Ashanti’s closet just like she did Leona Lewis for Halo, Scared of Lonely, and Broken-Hearted Girl and Michelle Williams for Radio and Danity Kane for Video Phone…but she doesnt steal, im sure she pays for what she uses and she does it better than them ALL so i still lub u bee!

anyway i love the song ego…she rides the beat well, i’m more of a fan of her voice then anything so i just love to hear her sing period. i heard halo was a really good song so i wanna hear that one.

Just like the other two songs this one is horrible. In the states her songs aren’t near number one and this garbage isn’t making it there either. I am so disappointed in theses singles. I am not buying this album all though I am sure it’s going number one but please Beyonce quit lying to people that this is a classic because a classic is when you can listen to the songs 10 years from now and these songs I would throw out tomorrow!!!EGO sounds as bad as single ladys..sorry

i’m not convinced with these song maybe the kanye remix will be better. am i the only one who thought the lyrics were kinda suspect ‘its too big its too wide it won’t fit’ etc think abt it people. she feeling herself too much and halo is just her screaming leona’s version wouldve been better her albums not that gr8 and definitly not a classic but its better than b’day i don’t think she will be able to top her first album.
