The video for T.I and Chris Brown’s ‘Get Back Up‘ was just released. The song is the latest to be lifted from the rapper’s ‘No Mercy’ album which will be available on December 7th. Look below for all the action:
This was a simple yet effective video. It captured the essence of the song and Brown’s presence kept things light-hearted.
Still, the message of this record is completely lost on me because of T.I’s recent legal woes. How many times does he plan to fall into a jail cell and get back up? It seems that he rather enjoys the experience.

Hopefully he realizes that he is mortal, and a black man in America. He has a family and his ass is getting too old to keep running back and forth to jail. Freedom should mean something to him. I think by the time he recorded the video, it resonated with him and this is finally a lesson learned. I hope this is his last trek. I love the song.

@Lioness: I thought the same thig when I heard about him getting arrested on the drug charges! I was like ‘He was out in LA celebrating his movie coming in at No. 1’. But I still had no sympathy for him! He could have celebrated his ass at home! He had a lot of drugs in that car and he should have known better than to be driving with them! He was lucky he didn’t get ay addictional charges and only got in trouble for violating his probation.

The video was good. It’s pretty simple straight to the point I guess. I wasn’t expecting it to be ‘spectacular’ given the subject matter. CB makes the silliest faces sometimes. I couldn’t help but laugh at him dancing around in the background. Lol!
I kinda agree with Trent too, it’s hard to listen to this song without thinking ‘Shut up you big dummy!” He said damn near the same thing in ‘Dead & Gone’ and now look where we are again! Can we really believe him this time? Will he mess up again and then make another song like this? I mean, the message is great but you have to live up to your words TIP. Drug addiction is a real thing. And why are people surprised a felon which TI is goes back to jail. He’s been to jail more than once. And most felons do it again and again.
I don’t see why people are so surprised or judgmental. Especially black folk….are you serious? You are lying if you don’t have at least one family member, even distant ones in jail or once in jail.
Its sad, but its the reality for America since this country values jail like no other country except China and Iran. And most ppl in jail in the US are on non-violent drug charges. So just like Trent and his rather insensitive remarks, the American court system also doesn’t understand the problem that is drug addiction. Jail just makes it worse.

How can any one sit and say Lohan is a 8 time felon with little are no remorse, who should be serving time in the penitentiary for trafficking drugs, wasn’t that Lohan the paparazzi took pictures of, when a white substance fell from between her legs cover her feed and the ground, seem to have been a pound of flour? Charlie Sheen, shot a woman, beat a woman, put a knife to his wife throat, still walk around a free man with know probation, free as a bird, with career intact.
TIP still has a fan base and a strong one at that, since when did we let the personal lives of artist affect us?
