The tracklisting is fantastic, and I keep playing it over and over again. I already have the majority of the albums the songs are featured on, respectively, but it’s nice to have a playlist of some of my favorite songs, and it goes towards a great cause, too. Teddy Riley, a producer who produced Gaga’s “Teeth” and Michael Jackson’s Dangerous album just launched a girl group called RaNia and he missed their debut performance because he said he was too busy with Rihanna’s “album production”. Oh, and Jeff Bhasker tweeted a picture of the new album board. I would prefer a Loud re-release, especially since this is a huge era for her, but oh well.

I consider it to be a real masterpiece. The more I listen to it, the more I recognize its brilliance. Every song is risky, every song is different, and its a very edgy record. I was so upset that it wasn’t on the list, and it angers me that it didn’t receive a SINGLE Grammy nomination. Critics didn’t love it as much as they should’ve, and it will never achieve the recognition it deserves. An album like that only comes around once in a career, and it makes me very sad that Rihanna’s was so overlooked. Some people even prefer Gaga’s The Fame Monster over it on ATRL, and I can’t believe that. It’s so beautiful but so underrated.

I think its a masterpiece for somebody of rihannas caliber considering most people think she’s talentless,has no depth,etc it will always be critically hailed even by her non fans to be her most vulnerable,artistic body of work. Rihanna has shown promise and Rated R proved she wasn’t just another pop start looking for a quick hit. I also think it speaks volumes that Rihanna had a HUGE amount of control of the project even thoughh it didn’t sell as well as GGGB. I think that’s what makes it even more astounding because its underrated.

Her first album was okay, her second album was cute and pretty good (much better than her debut, and progression is fantastic), but her third blew me away. Rated R, I hated at first, but I now adore, and although I wish Loud had a little more pzazz (if that makes sense), I love it.

Funny story I use to HATE CCL and I never got into it much during the Rated R era but a few months ago it stuck to me. And yess gaga and rih are in the same lane because of their Avant Garde apporach in terms of pop music. I’m glad that Beyonce is helping out with this. Obesity in America is a big issue and if the government starts focusing on tackling it at a young age it would help. It sucks though that the fast food restaurants continue to make misleading commercials when the majority of their food (McDonals and Burger King especially) is designed to make you fat. Since when does a big mac have to have 540 calories (260 from fat), 29 grams of fat, and 1040 mg of sodium. When I was a kid big macs were bad for you, but now days that type of food makes people never eat fast food. Also, it is very bad that fast food from places like McDonalds have higher amount of fat here in the USA verses the “same” food being sold in the UK and other countries.
