“I crash down, I stumble, but I did not crumble” sang Whitney Houston on 2009′s ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’.
It appears the legend is clinging to those words now more than ever, as she has voluntarily extended her stint in a drug and alcohol rehab program.

According to TMZ, the 47 year old has requested an “round the clock” life-coach to help her battle against her well-publicized addicitons.
The ‘Million Dollar Bill’ singer had been set to complete her 30 day rehab program, after checking herself into an out-patient facility last month. However, sources claim Houston is more determined than ever to deal with her issues – and wants to prove it.
It was recently confirmed that Houston will reunite with the cast of ‘Waiting to Exhale’ for its sequel ‘Getting to Happy’. The movie is set to commence filming this Summer, and will hit theatres next year.

Kudos to Whitney for dealing with her problems. Amidst the glitz and glamour that is the entertainment industry, it’s uber easy to forget that stars go through real situations. Cliche sounding? Perhaps. But I say this not as a ‘woe is Whitney’, rather because folk far too often forget that this isn’t ‘fantasy’. It’s life. Addiction isn’t remedied at the click of a finger. It’s a process. Here’s hoping Whitney is successful in this latest effort to clean up her life.

Good for her. One thing about Whitney she has dedicated fans. Nothing likes these modern day fans who love you only when you are at the top. She is a strong woman & she has survived this long. I am constantly praying for her because not only is it the right thing to do, but because this woman made a huge impact on the music industry. She is an Icon and has earned respect by her hard work, talent and body of work!

That why he is substaining her. He is with her even when the wicked comments are thrown at her. God protects her. It’s not too many people that can get in front of the world and tell them their weaknesses, their vulnerabilities. Just ask yourself if you were in her shoes could you be that strong. Yeah Whitney came from the ghetto, that were God has allowed here to get her thick skin to prepare her for the journey ahead.
