Miss Germanotta’s HBO special has resulted in her landing nominations in the categories of Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special; Directing; Technical Direction/Camerawork/Video Control, Picture Editing and Lighting Design.
The show is set to air on September 18th from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles where the starlet may possibly be in attendance.

I think the Emmys are biased. CBS is the network airing the awards. Time Warner is the parent company of HBO and Time Warner has a 50% venture in CBS. It is strange that when Janet aired her Velvet Rope Tour on HBO she was nominated for 4 emmys (won one) but her when her other tours aired on different networks she was not considered. Beyonce aired her tours on non Time Warner networks and her tours were not nominated either.
