Armed with evidence, they pointed us to Cee-Lo Green’s ‘No One’s Gonna Love You’ clip. Let’s just say the visual stylings, look, and feel, are uncanny.

Blind criticism for the sake of intrigue is not in any way a means to increase this sites ‘stature’. Why all of a sudden are people constantly accusing artists of copying?! Videos like these two have been around for years and many and many artists take inspiration from things to create their own. Music is cyclic, like fashion, like art. Things come and go in periods. Sometimes artists are successful in their recreation/depiction, and sometimes they fall short. There are short films, movies and television shows made all the same. Shall way accuse them of copying those as well?
A true testament to an artist’s creativity is reinventing what they were originally inspired by and making it their own. I think Rihanna made ‘We Found Love’ her own.

The video is conceptually inspired by two movies: Transpotting and Requiem for a Dream. I encourage you all to google it/youtube it for yourselves. The video director credited the two films and it’s also mentioned on MTV.

There’s nothing wrong with paying homage or being inspired but there is a way to do it. Look at movies, you wouldn’t see The Hulk movie and then a week later see someone replicate the movie scene for scene but with a different name and not credit the original would you.
There really isn’t anything new under the sun, but there’s a difference between truly being inspired and playing out your own idea in your own style and simply replicating someone ‘s works because of lack of creativity.

I actually like Rihanna’s WFL video, but I’m so glad that these artist that take concepts from other artist who’ve done them yesterday are being exposed. All these stans that swear up and down that Bey is the “only” unoriginal artist in today’s industry that “steals”, need this eye opener. Bey can’t cross her legs without someone citing the “original source” and referencing another video made in 1762. I’m fed up with the Kelly stans, Rihanna stans, etc that are always the first to bash her when their fav is guilty of a bigger crime. Even these ridiculous Mimi stans have something to add occassionally (when they should be more concerned with their own favs shortcomings) are ready to criticize. It only exposes the stans insecurities more than anything else. IMO, WFL is similar to Cee-lo’s work, but it may be one of Rihanna’s best videos (I can’t watch half of them). She’s getting called out because everyone wants to wear their blinders when it comes to their fav and reduce others down to nothing. We can play this game all day!

Rihanna’s ass didn’t write the treatment for this f*****’ video, first of all. It’s a whole bunch of Pop Culture references that only Melina’s ASS would know, including Sid & Nancy and Requiem For A Dream. The concept is similar, but not enough to be a problem. MELINA KNOCKED THIS VIDEO OUT OF THE PARK. It went perfect with the song’s feeling, and it hit that nerve people wanted it to hit. The public can’t get enough of CB & Rihanna drama and Rihanna is milking it for all it’s worth–despite CB trying his darndest to move on.
The video was executed to PERFECTION aesthetically, but as far as PERSONALLY, I think it was a CHEAP publicity stunt that obviously worked. She just seems like a vulture who will do anything to climb higher and remain relevant.
