He’s the creative genius behind 50 Cent‘s ‘My Life’ and The Throne‘s ‘Murder To Excellence’, but for Pop lovers- it’s Beyonce‘s ‘Best Thing I Never Had‘ that Symbolyc One may be most renown for.
Only right then, that as the ‘Satelites’ singer readies the release of her fifth studio album, One stands as one of the many producers reported to have signed on to help craft it.
Now peep what he had to say on the matter in an exclusive interview with That Grape Juice. Net below!
On the chart topper, he explained:
“I met Beyonce while working with Kanye and Jay out in London and Australia on the Watch The Throne album. Creatively we bonded and she loved my work. That led to her asking me to fly out to New York at the top of the year to work on her album with her. January 2nd of 2011 I got that call to fly out to work with Bey.
My co-producer Caleb McCampbell and I went out there and created about 4-5 songs with Bey and “Best Thing I Never Had” was one of the ones that stuck. Then my fam Shea Taylor (who was lead producer on “4″) came in and polished the record up and it became Beyonce’s 2nd single from her album.”
“I can definitely say she’s already got a few joints from me for her new project. However, I’m not sure of her direction or where she’s trying to take it creatively this go round. Guess no one will really know till it drops (laughs).”

It would be ashame to see her flop after all of this hype. I think most of the public are just tired of her. It’s not that they hate her they are just tired of her being forced down their throat. They try to make her seem bigger than what she really is, and people are calling her out for that. No real legend has to force themselves down your throat because the people already know your great. She has no Iconic songs, no real signature (no that nappy blond wig aint it) no style, voice is good not great… Let’s face it her songs are ghetto, and forgettable for the most part. I just don’t see it happening. Beyonce has lived out her glory years, and she will never be as big as she once was. She still will sell of course because she people still do love her (silly but ok). People are saying they are tired of Beyonce esp since Rih is the new it girl but what does Rihanna really offer that’s so remarkable? Her team creates an image for her. She has very little skill and virtuosity under her belt. Her singing and performances are weak and should be better for someone of her status. Trust me, without all that smoke and mirror illusion, no one would be interested in her either. So even if Beyonce were to totally disappear or demise, you all would get sick of Rihanna too cuz face it, she is no better. Her fans just like to talk shit cuz she’s selling and topping charts. When Beyonce was announced as the feature act for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show, the predominant thought in my mind was that her performance would be amazing.
I don’t go around the house singing “Bootylicious” or “Put a Ring on it,” but I’d be lying if I said she wasn’t an amazing performer. She has the ability to light up a stage before she evens utters a word on the microphone.
I admit, part of that is because she’s gorgeous.

One glimpse of Beyonce on stage is enough to grab my attention for at least a few moments. I’ve heard many critics/haters say she can’t sing and make other untrue statements.
I take those comments with a grain of salt.
Mostly because people will make excuses or give pardons for the deficiencies of the musical acts they like. Bob Dylan fans completely ignore the fact that he sounds like a starving flea when he sings.
Why? Because he’s an amazing writer and he’s cool as a fan.
I happen to enjoy Beyonce’s voice, but it doesn’t hurt that she’s got the most beautiful legs in show business.
Singing isn’t even going to be the determining factor for success with this performance. It’s going to come down to staging, special guests and dancing.
Beyonce’s got you covered on all of those fronts.
Her stage shows are generally elaborate and awesome. You’d have to think that the powers that be would make sure a high-profile performance like this would be totally decked out.
She’s married to Jay-Z, so if Shawn Carter steps on the stage for a cameo the stadium is going to go nuts, and many of the men pretending to ignore the performance at home will be allowed to comfortably take notice as well.
There are rumors that a Destiny’s Child reunion is in store for fans (OMG! from Yahoo!). That would equate to nothing more than eye candy for me, but that segment will certainly broaden the appeal of the game to a larger audience.
As for dance routines, nobody moves like Beyonce.
The halftime show is more about the visual performance than anything. All things considered, there is no one that will look better on stage than Beyonce.
