I remember one of ushers first performances when he first hit 30. He looked terrible, i was like man what is he doing, he was trying so hard and all out of breathe. when usher’s debut album USHER came he was managed by puffy that flopped. Then came his mother jonetta patton who gave him My Way, 8701, Confessions and even Raymond vs Raymond all these r solid and classic albums that USHER will be known for throughtout life. In an article it was clearly mentioned that it was Jonetta Patton who asked Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis to produce songs on 8701 and what the world got was U Remind Me song of the summer and it was Jonetta patton who wanted Jermaine Dupri to be part of Usher career. Usher was never managed by Puffy. Puff was hot at the time, and was recruited to be an executive producer for his debut album, but even then he was being managed by his mother.

Desperate move. No artist (especially one that’s big) should be managed by a company that has other notable clients. When you’re at a certain status level, your manager should be someone who either manages you only…or you should be the biggest name on their client list so that you’re their top priority. You want them to be able to devote almost ALL of their time and effort to YOU. Usher sharing representation with Bieber and Grande is only going to compromise him.
No not really Scooter is not managing Ariana anymore. The reason they’re bringing her up is because at the time he was managing her the promo was excellent for her second album even though Justin is on the label. Besides that Usher has a great relationship with Scooter and if anybody knows how to make a artist have a good comeback it’s Scooter (Ask Justin). Ariana is gone and Justin’s on tour. usher was introduced to l.a reid by bryan reid just like scooter did for j.b but at that time usher’s mother wasn’t his manager his career was solely in the hands of L.A reid & puffy. It was l.a reid who sent usher to ‘flavour camp’ of puffy.
