Vic Mensa Calls Out Justin Timberlake’s Problematic Relationship With Black Music

Published: Friday 1st Jul 2016 by David

Vic Mensa isn’t impressed with Justin Timberlake‘s relationship with music of black origin.

Why the rapper feels Timberlake has benefitted from the field’s highsand lows?

His explanation below…

In response to the social media storm ignited by the James Fauntleroy-backed musician’s response to Jesse Williams ‘Black Lives Matter’ BET Awards speech, Mensa said the following:

I feel as if the issue is not Justin Timberlake having an input or even appreciating this speech. That’s something that most people can resonate with. Our problem here is that Justin Timberlake himself is definitely benefiting from using black culture for his sound, his dance moves, his dancers, and blowing up off of it. But if you roll down Justin Timberlake’s Twitter for the past two years, which I just did, you see nothing that supports black people when it’s more difficult, when it’s a struggle.

With everything that’s going on, with everybody that’s been killed by police on camera in the past couple of years, there’s no #BlackLivesMatter, there’s no “praying for Baltimore,” there’s no “praying for Flint.” Because that’s a dangerous subject for him to touch. And we’re not feeling him being down when it’s beneficial to him and turning a blind eye when it could be dangerous…

Justin Timberlake is the definition of a culture Vulture people give him a pass because of his relationship with Timberland and Pharell. He can use black music to make himself rich, but don’t speak up about black issues. At least Mackelmore spoke on police brutality. I’m still waiting for his wack ass to apologize to Queen Janet

    • Fancy BISH July 1, 2016

Justin Timberlake NEVER has had a solo album sell like Rhythm Nation or the janet. album…Michael Jackson has the best selling album of all time…he mixed the many genres of music that BLACK people CREATED, and created THRILLER…which was produced by a BLACK MAN Quincy Jones…Whitney Houston has the best selling female album of all time overall with The Bodyguard at 45 million…special mention to Shania Twain…she has the best selling female STUDIO album of all time, but Whitney has the overall…a BLACK WOMAN…Michael and Whitney both had undeniable TALENT…and they have the biggest albums EVER…Pharrell’s Happy is in the Top 10 best selling singles of ALL TIME with 15,000,000 copies sold…we know Justin wouldn’t have a solo career without him lol…Can’t Stop The Feeling is a copy of Happy and Get Lucky, two Pharrell creations…so Justin can just be “inspired” lol

    • wrosy3 July 1, 2016

I agree when it comes to music and movies justin likes to play both sides he wants to be white Hollywood and black for his music I never supported his ass to begin with he left Janet out in the cold to take the rap for pulling down her top he is fake and black people support him yet hate on their own black celebrities

    • What you say boy!? July 1, 2016

I’m not sure if my prayers are going to work on this post. ??? the devil is a movin and I can feel the shade coming like a storm honeyz ?????here’s my feelings and I’m going to drop it low and pick up slow without trying to throw shade but pray for me God is still delivering me from the spirit of shade?? I haven’t been here for Justin Timberlake since Cry me a river: when he came out he was cute but he comes off as too cocky and try hard for my taste? He needs to stop working with timberland for a while because ALL of his songs sound the same. And as far as his ripping of black music and black culture I’m not going to touch on that because it’s hella messy but let’s be real people have been doing that since Adam an Eve did the Harlem Shake in the garden. I would love to hear more black people “crossover” into the country, rock and pop sound. Well praise the Lord I didn’t feel a lot of shade in these comments ??

I personally think that placing our focus and energy on Justin Timberlake is saddening. First of all we talk about him profiting off of Black music but Black people are buying his music and we are collaborating with him (Timbaland, T.I, Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, Pharrell, Michael Jackson, Ciara etc.) Not to mention “our” radio stations play his music and have played his music even way back to NSync’s “Gone” which they also performed on BET’s 106 and Park I might add. I think instead of placing all of this energy on JT we should be focusing on the real highlight of the BET Awards which was Jesse Williams speech and not the Twitter conversation afterwards. I question how much we are doing as Black people when it comes to these issues. IF you are a Black you are well aware that police brutality/discrimination towards Black men/women didn’t just start in the last few years. It just has been given publicity because we have phones to record and social networks with which to spread the word now. So I wonder how many of our Black celebrities are going to speak up for now and then when people stop caring they move on to the next hot topic. A better use of Vic Mensa’s energy might be put towards finding out how he can help in his own way to improve the racism/discrimination that goes on in this country as opposed to jumping on the lets hate Justin Timberlake bandwagon. I don’t know about anyone else but the movement does not begin nor end with JT whose music by the way I do support.

  2. #JACKIE July 1, 2016

Who gives a f***? I don’t like his ass but we have black POPULAR artists who don’t speak up about black issues. People just wanna be mad at something. Sit down. ?

  3. 2bad2bme July 1, 2016

It’s like, who are you? You just came in the game giving your opinion, which is irrelevant, about a legend such as Justin? These young artists are getting to feel themselves waaaayyy too much!

    • Fantasia Slayrino July 1, 2016

Poor confused soul. What has this got to do with age and relevancy? Step out of the bubble you live in, away from the computer and get out into the real world.

      • 2bad2bme July 1, 2016

Girl I actually have a job…I am in the world. His punk self wouldn’t have tried Eminem, I don’t see him advocating for us blacks. It’s just like so what? Stop fussing at the wrong people…

Get over it & move on…………………..I mean, it’s been going on since ELVIS PRESLEY. He ain’t the first & won’t be the last. #OldNews

    • Mimi Mayhem July 1, 2016

Homophobia is old too. Should we get over that too?

    • Tay Tay Army July 1, 2016

“Get over it.” Get over what exactly? Racial bias? Discrimination? You must be one of those people who cross the street when you see a black man but spend all night lusting over them. The irony in your statement is that each and every one of our faves has pulled from black music but only a few have acknowledged this. Meanwhile the people who made the culture are mocked and insulted for the very ideas that are stolen from them and used to sell music, fashion and films. So pray tell, how do you propose we get over that?

      • Rey July 1, 2016

        Yes! Yes! YES!

      • Nate July 1, 2016

Yes. Clock it! Folks around here thinking culture vultures are okay, and or expected, but what happens to the black artist they steal from? When Timberlake started the buisness, BLACKS ruled music, even his group was modeled after black male groups that were dominating, all they did was made Nsync’s sound whiter for mass consumption. Pay attention to the throwback Billboard post that ThatGrapejuice post, charts before the year 2000 every other entry was a black artist. Nowadays? Just a handful, that is not by accident. Timberlake, and others like him put a lot of folks out of work simply because he has white access, yet he used both pop and rnb audience for his own gain, and music has sucked every since. Rather folks want to admit it or not, if music is to be great again, black people need to regain that status, then they need creative control to introduce the age of sound…Now we’re just stuck in cycles.

    • wrosy3 July 1, 2016

We living in different times back then blacks did not have a voice when elvis and those whites kept stealing from black artist we know white people have no damn rhythm justin swings both sides because majority black women lust after his crusty ass has justin ever dated a black woman white artist wants to cross over they use black music black artist have to adjust their sound and look for whites to like them white steal and make it look like it was originated by them prime example Kim k and cornrows b*** everything under the sun these magazines made it seem that bed mattress did first society gives props to white women wearing cornrows tan complexion big pouty lips cool

  5. Mimi Mayhem July 1, 2016

The LGBT community are happy to fight for fairness and equality but are so quick to tell other minorities to shut up when they complain. Why is Vic annoying for defending his people and a gay celebrity brave for defending his? Think about it.

  6. Fantasia Slayrino July 1, 2016

I will always say that the reason the gay community struggles to understand the plight of racial minorities and women is because they benefit from straight privilege. Most gay people are not out and aren’t restricted by the barriers placed against gay people because those who made the barriers can’t tell that they’re gay. Ethnic minorities don’t have that luxury and that is why almost everyone of you on here told Vic to accept the status quo.

    • Dev July 1, 2016

I agree with all of this…

  7. Fantasia Slayrino July 1, 2016

Also, racism is a real problem within the gay community so I’m not shocked by the responses I’ve seen in this comment section.

    • #JACKIE July 1, 2016

      Girl shut up.

      • Tay Tay Army July 1, 2016

? Your level of intelligence is astounding. Shut up is all you have to say?

      • #JACKIE July 1, 2016

Ask Tamar for her opinion b****.

    • MUSICHEAD July 1, 2016

It is astounding how many gay white people are racist. It just goes to show that victims can still be bullies themselves. That is why I will never accept the argument that discrimination against gays is the same as discrimination against people of color. The plights are not the same.

      • Nate July 1, 2016

I agree with most of what you said, but black people do it to each other too. Colorism is real, though I hope it dies soon. I do sense that folks are starting to wake up. This is honestly one of the first times I’m able to read these comments without feeling the need to barf. I love this real conversation on Thatgrapejuice. Of course there will always be trolls, but not too many this time.

      • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

You’re right. Gays have been persecuted for 1600 years. Black people were enslaved for 350 years then treated like 2nd class citizens for an additional 100.

    • Dev July 1, 2016

      and this…

  8. Formation 212 July 1, 2016

Totes hilaire to see the airheads on here crumble when the topic isn’t about weaves and the charts. You really told people to “get over” being discriminated against? Please! Zont zeu it! You are the same ones who will soak your panties if a celebrity compliments anything LGBT related because you know how that helps end discrimination against the community. Yet, you struggle to see why black people (who as a community have been through hell ) don’t want the same. Keep fantasising about seven foot ten ball players and 40 inch weaves and leave intelligent debate for the intelligent.

    • Danzou July 1, 2016

LOL whenever serious discussion is required they never say anything but bring someone’s tour sales and they turn into Johnny Cochran

    • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

LGBT people still don’t have housing and work protections. Black people do. Was there a point to your rant?

      • Progressive Conservative July 1, 2016

Darling, are we still pretending that It isn’t entirely possible for a gay person to avoid such injustices if nobody knows they are gay. Other minorities don’t have the invisibility cloak the lgbtq community does so it isn’t the same thing. Most of the guys I know who fool around with other guys are down low and don’t face a single piece of homophobia even though they are just as gay as RuPaul as he sashays down the street. Whether rich or poor, prince or pauper black peoples face the same issues.

  9. KenyaInFormation July 1, 2016

I hope the black people and their hard earned dollars are getting all of this back to back schooling lately. Support your own, support those who support you. Not some damn black soul allegedly having Timberfake.

    • Formation 212 July 1, 2016

Yes. We have been conditioned to mock and degrade ourselves, I know because I used to do it but now it’s time for us to claim what is ours.

    • Nate July 1, 2016

You can’t blame the people. Most of us don’t realize we live in a mental asylum. America is not a country, but a coorporation, we’ve all be conditioned since we were kids listening and watching media. Media is in fact not our friend, and has always been out to paint a f***** up picture of black. It makes me sad when we believe the hype, but times have to change, there is no other choice.

      • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

Attacking innocent White people isn’t going to make the ones that are actually racist want to change or spread their influence any less.

  10. Yeee July 1, 2016

I just watched it because Vic Mensa is cute

  11. pat July 1, 2016

and now that justin (both, and others) have appropriated r and b, and probably more so the fact that we gave them the pass to do so….whites realize they no longer have to buy r and b from blacks… which greatly attributes to the death of music where black people actually sing….now they only want rap and trap from us…and once they get their white trap artist that we cosign…we can hang that up to…we have to continue call them out and/or continue to have to be more creative than they are to survive

    • MUSICHEAD July 1, 2016

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! White people will only buy r&b when it’s made by white artists. Unfortunately, white people control what is considered popular because they are 70% of music sales consumers. Black people never bought music online in large numbers, they purchased in stores. Now that music stores are gone, black consumers are underrepresented which is why there is no longer a balance at the top of the charts.

    • lordmi July 2, 2016

i disagree, white people didn’t buy only white music. remember 2000 and all black artist in the top of billboard. And first of all, black people don’t support their artist. Tank, tyreese and many other have already say it. yeah man, it’s not all a white problem. Support your artist !!!!

  12. jdek July 1, 2016

?? WHY EXACTLY ARE PEOPLE MAD OVER HIS STATEMENT? We’re lucky young boys like him are aware of such things as many are not aren’t.The sad part is you guys are the same people to ridicule the youth for not having enough cultural knowledge. Its a loose loose for him. Some of you people seriously suck.

  13. jdek July 1, 2016

Talking about hows he’s too early in his career to talk When some of these black artist who’ve been in the game over how many plus years have yet to say anything.. Are we serious??

    • jdek July 1, 2016

      how

  14. Meme July 1, 2016

Thanks to Vic Mensa for speaking the truth which most celebrities find so difficult to utter. Right from inception,Justin Timberlake has been ripping black communities off its sound. but really, i sincerely dont blame JT because his black celebrities friends appreciate him and accepts him into their cliche.

    • ka July 1, 2016

Producers and a lot of black artist support him because he is the money bucket, align with him radio will play and albums will sell in white America. As well he flips it and does the r&b and goes on hip hop tracks and show up to BET awards believing its all cool to step into Black people issues that he never experienced.

      • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

Because the celebrities at BET are victims of Black issues themselves right? LMAO

    100%

  18. MUSICHEAD July 1, 2016

I don’t know who Vic Mensa is but he stated that perfectly. It has always bothered me that Justin Timberlake takes so much from black culture but gives nothing back in return. He is talented but there are so many artists who do what he does so much better but because they are not white, they don’t get the accolades. And he still owes Janet Jackson a public apology for not standing up for her and doing the right thing during nipplegate.

  19. Mimi July 1, 2016

    Vic Mensa can get it

  20. Danzou July 1, 2016

LB is nowhere to be found which is ironic considering the person we’re talking about here. I digress, the only way to tackle what white people have done so far is to do like vic and flat out call the crap for what it is. They can no longer LEGALLY lynch us or shut us up but WHAT THEY CAN do is be corrupt like they’ve always been an user government tactics to keep themselves in power. For example, there are judges who get paid to send black people/non black POC to jail. I used to be ignorant too so I get that some of you honestly don’t understand what’s going on but you gotta learn someday and at LEAST be aware.

    • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

      “…what White people have done…”

B1tch, you weren’t a victim of any of that. Gtfover yourself and do something worthwhile. More importantly, none of the White people guilty of past Black suffering are alive anymore. You are the racist here attacking a group of people that see you as an equal while you see them as demons.

  21. B_Roni July 1, 2016

This is stupid . Your messing up your career already. Your words won’t do anything but keep his can’t stop the feeling track at the top. He just giving him more exposure. Justin isn’t my favorite artist but he had put in a lot of work and is a cool guy. We don’t know how he loves his life or what he does. Just because someone doesn’t preach about something doesn’t mean they don’t support it. all of this is gonna keep his song going. A song that’s not even on his album. If people made this much fuss and supported more black artist like they do spending their time talking about this , then we would see more black artist at the top.

    • Danzou July 1, 2016

Isn’t it funny that you think a black artist speaking out on his own nations plight at the expense of a white man will ruin his career? Lol get real.

    • Danzou July 1, 2016

The truth is that white people are genetically inferior. Their ancestors mated with neanderthals. Ew. THAT’S why they’re so insecure to the point where they have literally schemed against and oppressed other races for centuries. They know that if they continue to mate outside of their gene pool then they will be naturally killed off by natural selection. Their DNA will get siphoned out and white people will no longer exist that’s why they have led so many people to believe in euro centric beauty standards.

      • Nate July 1, 2016

People may hate on you for spillin that much tea, when they do just ask them, “what does the sun think of white people?” The most natural thing is the universe, yet they burn, nature is trying to tell us something, and what are they doing to nature? Tearing it apart, and buiding boarders, and charging rent.Folks have put these ideas together. Plus I’m tired of white women suggesting I should stay out of the sun, No chick you stay out the sun! /end rant

      • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

@Nate Sweety, you don’t understand how natural selection and evolution work. Stop making a fool out of yourself.

If the sun kills them, why did White people come into existence to begin with?

By all means, stay in the sun all day long. Your magical Black skin will stop the melanoma, you’ll eventually get, from killing you.

  22. Danzou July 1, 2016

And another reason why I simply cannot stand white people is because of they’re not from America they will erase your plight as a person of color while completely ignoring the fact that on a worldwide scale THEY are in power and no one’s doing anything about it except blacks. Black people have so much against within our race AND without. The willy lynch letters fire example. So many blacks are affected by then to this day. And then all at the same time we’re fighting others to for simple justice, recognition, and representation.

    • Carlitos July 1, 2016

  25. Coolness July 1, 2016

Justin’s initial tweet expressing how he was inspired by Jesse’s speech may have read as harmless. However, I can see why he was criticised because the latter specifically called out White artists who profit off Black music like thieves. So in turn, he came across as oblivious to his privilege and his response to that particular Twitter user was condescending. I like Justin as an artist. He has genuine musical ability, he has one of the best discographies in modern pop music (sans 20/20 Experience Part 2, lol) and he is an amazing showman. However, he’s ALWAYS managed to emerge from scandals that he’s involved in literally unscathed. His public image is practically without any cracks. Not even Beyoncé, his closest female counterpart in terms of success and status, has enjoyed the benefit of doubt he has. All in all, I think this was a wake-up call for him and hopefully, he realises that people see right through him.

This guy needs to keep his mouth shut because he sounds ignorant asf.

  28. King Mark111 July 1, 2016

Basically while we are gearing up all the goods to make this gumbo, JT is not around until after it’s done cooking and here he is with a bowl. It’s safe to say “inspired” than it is to say “stop shooting unarmed Black people”. They don’t want to risk their careers, but Blacks have to each and every day. Hint, look how they tried to do Beyonce. JT will never do a Formation type video because he don’t want to risk it nor can he take the angry White criticism.

  31. #TeamTinashe Stan July 1, 2016

While everyone was getting at Iggy Azalea for being a culture vulture and benefiting from it back in 2014 there was Justin Timberlake who has MORE years than Iggy in the biz. Unlike JT, Iggy actually shared on social media that she gave money to support blacks before.

Justin is trying to be strategic as he needs the white racists too to buy his albums. I like him alot but what has he been doing for “Black Lives Matter”?

  32. S****** Blonde July 1, 2016

    Deal with it ???

  33. Theman July 1, 2016

It’s not about music stores. It’s the fact that r&b radio doesn’t even support r&b. Mainstream r&b doesn’t play r&b, how can anyone else? R&b in general just fell by the wayside. They need the AirPlay/support/promo. Adele & Taylor and other pop acts move tons of units from stores that sale music. Black artists recently simply haven’t had the support. Bottom line..

  34. OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

Wait, so other races are supposed to be there for Black people, but when it comes to other minorities needing their help, Black people tell them to fu ck off and fight for their own rights.

That never ending double standard that Black people enjoy continues to expand.

      • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

So Black rockers are also appropriating from Whites then? After all, the guitar is a White invention.

Black classical musicians? Are they trying to be “White” because they wear the appropriate attire for the genre?

Music. Does. Not. Belong. To. Anyone. Or. Any. Race.

      • Mark111 /.\ July 1, 2016

I don’t have time for this childishness. Rock music was created from blues and Jazz music, again, BLACK music. Led Zep, The Rollingstones and so many other over rated bands took, stole and covered older blues songs. You just proved that when Whites does BLACK music, they get all the credit. You don’t know who invented the guitar, but I do know who created that sound you White love so much.

I mean your favorite goat Rihanna and her go-to hit maker Sia are living proof of this.

I’m going to need you to work on your confirmation bias before you go Youtube hunting again honey.

This so so dumb… The whole topic of being culture ventures…. Who created the internet? White people… Are black people profiting from that? Um, yeah…. Do they ever bring that up? No… So black people are profiting from white people’s culture of inventimg things,., same can be said for CDs

No race has hold of anything…. GET over yourselves!!

    • Mark111 /.\ July 1, 2016

You’re the dumbest of them all. The internet is not a culture, it’s a tool. So accoording to you, a water pump is a culture because someone once apon a time invented it? How dumb. We’re talking about CULTURE, not inventions. smh
      .
Culture – a : the integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends upon the capacity for learning and transmitting knowledge to succeeding generations.

b : the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group; also : the characteristic features of everyday existence (as diversions or a way of life) shared by people in a place or time

c : the set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organization
      .
Invention – a : the action of inventing something, typically a process or device.
b : something, typically a process or device, that has been invented.

      • TAYLOR SWIFTS NUMBER 1 FAN!!!! July 1, 2016

No the inventions are a part of people’s culture! Don’t try and knock that. The internet isn’t just a tool, it’s a way of live and living for many. It’s changed the music culture…. The way music is sold… Everything now is internet related. Everyone in the world has the internet.
The way you buy stuff, pay your bills etc. This is all down to a white person who started it.

Different types of music aren’t that important… If a white person wants to sing and make money from it… Then go ahead .

      • Mark111 /.\ July 1, 2016

Are you STILL going to remain dumb when I just gave you the webster definition of the word intervention? Run along and play that wack @ss 1989, we’re done here.

      • Progressive Conservative July 1, 2016

Isn’t Is amazing that you just assumed the Internet was built by “white people.” Do you have proof that the Internet is a “white” invention in the way I can prove what are or are not black inventions?

      • TAYLOR SWIFTS NUMBER 1 FAN!!!! July 1, 2016

You’re just mad, cause you know I’ve nailed you with my point. Continue to use the interview… I won’t call your a culture vulture lol.

      • TAYLOR SWIFTS NUMBER 1 FAN!!!! July 1, 2016

Go to google and type in internet and culture, and then you will see how the internet has become part of our culture.
        You
You’ll then see how the internet is part of our culture. I think you see culture has somethimg happened ages ago.

Look how the internet and social media has changed alll of us… That is the culture that the internet has bought us.

      • TAYLOR SWIFTS NUMBER 1 FAN!!!! July 1, 2016

I didn’t assume I know the internet was created by a white person, i did my homework…. And you can tell me the list of black inventions, but then I don’t have a problem.. It’s you who’s saying about white people profiting over black people’s culture… Not the other way round.
The internet has changed the culture of the way meet people others, social media is a culture of it’s own.

    • Progressive Conservative July 1, 2016

Are white people degraded for “making the internet.” The issue isn’t who did it first, the issue is how those who did it first are treated before and after their oppressors take “it” for themselves. You and Omg Logic clearly know very little about Afro American history which is why this concentration baffles you.

      • TAYLOR SWIFTS NUMBER 1 FAN!!!! July 1, 2016

But you’re talking about white dominated countries… Well of course white artists sing all kinds of music will do well…. You can flip that and see how hard it would be for white artists in Nigeria .. They’d also find it tough wouldn’t they? When the populated is mostly black.

Can I just say that this thread proves that TGJ does have some very informed readers. Justin, the gig is up. We see right through you and you can no longer hide behind the “pass” your label asked Nelly, Pharrell and Timbaland to give you in 2001. The Internet has made it easy for all of us to dig deeper into things and what we are finding proves that those ” looney dashiki wearing Afrocentrics” weren’t so looney after all. They knew and now we do and enough is enough.

  40. Progressive Conservative July 1, 2016

I will say this. Now people know what to look out for when it comes to cuture vultures it is getting harder for them to function which is ultimately the goal. You can deny it all you want, but black people are not making these things up and I’d encourage everyone to research the Tuskegee Seven and Saartjie Baartman to understand how black bodies are LITERALLY used and abused to uphold a white supremacist system. Most of you don’t even know that the industrial revolution countries like Britain take pride in was built on the backs of enslaved Africans and that there are families who are still spending money made during slavery. That is why there is so much effort placed in silencing people who talk about the long term affects of the trade. They know people will be disgusted once they discover how much evil happened AFter 1864.

What’s most sad to me is that wealthy white people acknowledge their privilege while the poor ones don’t. The elite know about their history and society and work very hard to make sure their kids stay at the top of the food chain so they can continue to pass their wealth down. Then, through legislation and the media, convince working class white people that they don’t need education to thrive and encourage them to work jobs that anyone can do. Here’s where the problem lies. The rich will specialise in something professionally so it becomes impossible to compete with them on the jobs market without a high level of education and that means their positions are safe. The poor white person, who has been convinced that they don’t have to be exceptional to succeed, then lies to themselves by saying that they’ve earned everything they have and they are inherently better than black people. For a while they could believe this lie because the system was set up to place them above “other” in the jobs market. What they didn’t know is that these minorities were raising their kids to work twice as hard as the rest and this meant they began to outperform the working class. Of course, this irked them to no end because this slaps their “we’re better than you” theory in the face while the elite looks down and laughs at them for believing this. That is why you’ll rarely hear a doctor or lawyer talking about “immigrants coming to steal our jobs”, and that it’s the low income white folk who are always screaming this. They didn’t work hard because they didn’t have to and are sweating because the elite, and not ethnic minorities, tricked them.

That “omg” account is something else. Whoever it is clearly doesn’t read or hasn’t at least gone a couple semesters in college. I mean the information’s all around. It’s not healthy for you to be this ignorant. Fir Pete sake just take a African Americans humanities course. It’s not hard to learn something. That account acts like we are making this s*** up.

    • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

An African American Humanities course wouldn’t at all be biased would it? You seriously can’t make this 5h1t up lmao.

This site full of dumb mfs. Internet is a service thats why u pay monthly for it dumba**. I hope thats not an actual pic of that Tay Swift fan if so he is just as dumb as he looks. Yes we live in a majority white country but we didnt ask to be here we were placed here and dnt say go back to Africa because you could go back to your country of origin before America was settled. We as black people have contributed so much to america and ignorant whites like you believe it was one of you to do it. This is why JT and other black acting white artist get called out, if we didn’t you would think it was us copying. Justin is hella fake no doubt about it his response was so short with no real reaction. “Inspired” kind of like sayin “Amused” and that would be taken as shade to some. He should have stay silent like he has on other events or go in dept as to what he feels “inspired” to do. He is not stupid he knows every song he releases without an urban sound flops or is forgettable. It’s not even the sound thats all he steals from the words and phrases are things he wouldnt say in convo so why put in a song? This is too deep for TGJ because you care about is sales so this is over your head.

    • OMG Logic!!! July 1, 2016

No. According to Black people they contributed everything. They invented everything. They started everything. We should all fall down on our knees to them and cater to their every whim because their ancestors were enslaved. Only they should win Awards, even if their singers/actors didn’t deserve them that year, simply by virtue of their skin color.

      • Umm (original) July 1, 2016

Thats funny you feel that way when in “history” books we aren’t represented for any of our inventions. You need to stop getting offended and listen to what people are saying. You think its ok for a white person to steal from blacks but its not ok for us to call them out for doing so? If thats the case when someone robs you for your sh*t don’t complain just take it as a lost and buy more stuff. Omg where is your logic?
