Xscape are transitioning.
The R&B ensemble staged a successful comeback – comprised of a reality show and reunion tour. And while most members are keen to keep the nostalgia going, Kandi Burruss has revealed that she has other commitments.
Undeterred, the rest of the group – Tiny, Tamika, and LaTocha – are pressing on as a trio.
To punctuate their point of difference, the ladies have announced a name change.

Ahead of the release of their new EP ‘Here For It’ on March 3rd, the group have revealed that they will now go by Xscap3 for all things related to their work as a trio.
In wasting no time formalising the change, it’s been confirmed that the three have signed with CAA (Creative Arts Agency) for representation and that their project will be released via Xscap3 Entertainment.
Interestingly, the door is being left open for Kandi to pop in as her schedule permits. Something that will be happening at this year’s Essence Music Festival – where Xscape will regroup as a quad.
Clearly, it’s all love because the ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ star posted the following in support of the news:
I want to send love to my girls #Xscap3 & congratulate them on the moves their making! I want everybody to know that there is no drama. Its still love with us. I support what they’re doing with the new music & I want y’all to do the same. Pre-Order their new EP “Here For It”. & also get your tickets to #EssenceFest2018 because we’re all coming together to rock the stage again! #xscape
It’s great to see the ladies proceed in a mature fashion.
We’re just hopeful that they don’t lose any of the momentum they’ve built up over the last year.
