X Factor’s Alexandra Performs ‘Listen’ At KoKo

Published: Tuesday 9th Dec 2008 by Sam

X Factor firm favourite, Alexandra Burke, performed at a special ‘homecoming’ gig at London’s KoKo venue last night. With the final just days away, Burke, 20, gave near flawless renditions of some of her best performed songs during her time on the show – including an acapella version of ‘Listen’, which you can watch above.

Put simply, she must win! Awesome performance.

In other Alex news, word has it she and Beyonce will be performing ‘Irreplaceable’ together on Saturday’s final.

What do you think of the performance?

I, in a way, think it’s best she does’nt win. I think Simon would still try and make her huge. It will be easier for her without the pressure of the winners title and comparison to Leona L as past winners success.

Let Ey0sjwb (what ever his name is) or JFS win! they will probably have only short term success so let them enjoy it and let Alex go for great quality music and longevity with people that will nurture her talent and make her a big international star.

^^^ i agree with you….i mean i dont watch the show but watching her was like wow…she has true talent and sometimes these shows give the winners success for awhile but then its like a curse put on them and you dont hear from the any longer…she would probably do best without winning like j-hud or daughtry ya know

someone mentioned that beyonces live is better,im sure it is but i dont think its a competition between the two,its just a song she decided to sing no reason to compare. She has a great lower register by the way,my altos gotta get it lol (we dont have many altos singing out there)

Wow!!!! sorry Beyonce fans but she did sing it better. note she wasn’t screaming at all, pure power and emotion. something beyonce hasn’t mastered.

she sounded alright, but not great at the beginning. no beyonce comparison, its unnecessary, this isn`t about her (<_<). but she was pretty good.
