R&B stars Ciara and LeToya will see their much delayed new albums, ‘Fantasy Ride’ and ‘Lady Love’ respectively, finally released on May 19th.
The news comes after CiCi’s ‘Fantasy Ride’ was bumped from its April 7th retail date, following the release of yet another single – ‘Love, Sex, Magic (ft. Justin Timberlake)’ this past week. Speaking in an interview with Ed Lover on Power 101.5 last night, the singer explained the reason for the latest date being that the label wants to launch the record at the same time ‘globally’ – which I, guess, is a viable reason (this time).
As for LeToya, there’s no word on why she was pushed back; however the fact the video for her new single ‘Not Anymore’ has yet to premiere, I’m sure, factors into the reason for the album’s delay. I’m also assuming they will be going for a ‘2-single-before-album’ release strategy with this record. Time will tell…

Ciara’s releasing 8 singles by the time she wraps this up … and rereleases with a concert dvd and leftover songs, Latoya’s releasing 3 singles at best. Ciara’s is going on tour with a certain QUEEN of pop on her 2nd best selling tour and then doing her own world tour, Latoya may open for Weezy on the East Coast. TOOO EASY

the only songs you’ve heard from ci that will be on FR are Never Ever and LSM w/ justin. The leaked songs that might be on it: work, turntables, and ciara to the stage, will sound completely different. this will def be ciara’s best album to date.

Ciara may be getting released globally, but getting released and getting sales are two different things. She has 2 flops already under her belt and 1 potential single to do ok because she’s riding off Justin Timberlake. Letoya’s new single is already getting strong airplay up and it just hit radio a couple days ago. It’s too say who will come out on top, but it’s leading toward Letoya in a big way. Ciara HAD hype 5 years ago but she’s pulling tricks to get it back now.

lol @ 2 flops. ci has 2 double platnum plus albums. numerous songs in the top 10. latoya had a good song. nothing ever in the top 10. and if she wasn’t riding of the dc coattail even that song wouldn’t have been on urban radio. and technically she sold 700k not 1 millie, overall. but her label certified her. so it looks like everyone is riding coattails right now. whether it’s getting dream to write a hit jay z to spit a verse or cameras to follow them. the point is ciara sells albums. and her flop singles get more play than latoya’s “hit” songs.

I freakin' knew it. I knew Ciara was gone push her album back AGAIN. As soon as she came on 106 & park and they asked her when the album was coming out and she said she didn't want to give anything away yet. LOL.

If ciara was as big as ppl hype her up to be, she wouldn't have had to push her album back so many times. REAL TALK. If she hadn't of had all these songs leak that were not good at all. And whether your a fan/stan or not you can be honest and say that a lot of her songs that leaked were not good. Ppl always want to put emphasis on what ciara has had as oppose to what she is doing now. And as far as i'm concerned it's nothing. She is already on her 3rd single and idc what y'all say "go girl" was a single whether it was a buzz single on not, it was still on the radio and they had a video for it. JT just saved her with this s**,love and magic song. IMO.
LeToya has only had one song from this album and before it with was offically released, it was already getting airplay and as of Feb. 24 the offical release date it has had almost 500 spins which isn't bad. "not anymore" is about to have a video hit any day now, which is a great strategy move because that will put the song out there more. So the ppl that are just ruling LeToya out because of their love ciara I wouldn't be to sure about that just yet.

Yes I do agree with YOU ALREADY KNOW, "Go Girl" was not no buzz single, buzz singles do not get videos shot and chart (most of the time) even if it was low on the R&B charts. So yes "Love S** Magic," is the albums 3rd single IMO too.
I think that Ciara will sell more albums because she is a more established artist overall. And everyone is right about LeToya only having success with "Torn" because thats all any1 really remembers about her, besides her DC stint.
I will not be buying either album, simply because I got the 'LeToya' CD and was not happy with the purchase, and the amount of singles released from it (2), and Ciara to me let 'Ciara: The Evolution' bomb itself by releasing "Can't Leave Em Alone," that song was not single potential. I really wanted her to release "My Love."
If I had to pick a CD that I would expect to be better, sadly I would have to put my money on the current [flopping] Ciara!

I could say the same about Ciara but that would just go right past your head. LeToya single has been released to the radios YESTERDAY. We’ve yet to see the video for NOT ANYMORE so I wouldn’t make any sudden judgements until we see how she fairs on the charts. And I’m sorry to break it to you Ciara is hot no doubt about that, but her singles are not hot. In fact she needs Justin Timberlake to help elevate the buzz surrounding her current project. God knows I love me some Ciara but this time around I’m not feeling her project. “HIGH PRICE” should have been first single the ish was HOT! I’ve yet to see LeToya come out with an uptempo song to spice up the charts to make sudden judgements about who’s songs are hot.
