Michelle Williams looks set to follow up her successful stint on ‘Chicago’ by taking part in one of the UK’s biggest TV shows – ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

According to Digital Spy, the Destiny’s Child star, 30, is believed to have been paid upwards of £100,000 to star in the ballroom dancing show. A fee producers were willing to pay as a means of attracting higher calibre stars to this season of the hit series (the UK’s version of ‘Dancing With The Stars’).
The 11th season of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ kicks off September 11th on BBC 1.
well I’m glad that she still got some light BUT I just hope it won’t show too much of her unability to dance… because we all know that she’s not that good at dance… so yeah she needs those dancing lessons… but in a TV show… there’s some risks !

I love Michelle, she is extremly talanted and anyone who can perform in Chicago twice a day on the West End ans Broadway for nearly a year , is easily gonna kick ass for this show, Michelle has the right beautiful spirit to warm the hearts of the UK viewers plus, she has the right sassyness and galmour for ballroom dancing she will tear that s*** down!

She’s far from an A lister and 100k pounds is way below average for the US show. The D lister stars they get for DWTS stateside get between $250k-350k on average. 100k pounds is only 122k usd.

I’M SOOOO HAPPY FOR MICHELLE AND I HOPE SHE DOES IT! This could really LAUNCH her solo career in the UK! Look at Alesha Dixon! Alesha only managed one top 20 single before her album was shelved…then she went on Strictly, won, made a new album and now has four top 20 singles – two of which have hit the top ten!
We Break The Dawn reached its highest peak in the UK at #47 with little promo! Could you imagine what she could do if she put out a single not long after being on Strictly (after she is voted out/or wins)! She could definately get a top ten! So many people love We Break The Dawn, and the Unexpected album brought her a lot of new UK fans along with her hard work in the theatre world
