And, if you didn’t know this either, remember that S&M was banned in many of the big markets?! Her video ain’t out on TV and they wont play her song on the radio. Rihanna would DEF had her nr1 long time ago, but due to this ban, it seems to be impossible. However, we see an increase in sales from week to week, so it might go nr 3 or so, which is VERY GOOD too. I hate it that whenever somebody else, for instance Ciara or Chris Brown, get a top 10 hit, they “slay”, but when Rihanna is nr.3 or something on Hot 100 she is a flop? With the exception of Madonna, who at least made up for her lack of vocal ability by being a great performer, none of the artists you named were ever derided for their singing. Mariah, Teena and Tina are actually praised for their singing. It is acknowledged that Janet and Aaliyah aren’t great vocalists,but they still had enough to make it work, and people acknowledge that, too. And Michael wasn’t the best singer that ever lived, but dude got PLENTY of props for his vocal abilities. Oh yeah, and did I mention that ALL of the people you named are GREAT performers, something Rihanna isn’t? Not to mention that their artistry FAR outstrip hers.
