Yeah, Rihanna may have sold 3.5 million album with Loud and Basic Instinct may have only sold 100K, but Rihanna still has split those royalties with every single writer, producer/mixer/engineer and instrumentalist who worked on her album. Where as Ciara is only her checks with The-Dream, Tricky and herself and few other producers [Soundz and T-Minus]. Why do ya’ll think Def Jam has Rihanna release an album every year, because she keeps the money coming in for them. Ciara doesn’t need to release an album every year or have several #1 hits, she can have a single reach #42 on the Hot 100 like Ride and make 250K off of it and Rihanna can have a song spend 4 weeks at #1 like What’s My Name and make 250K as well, after she splits the entire one or 2 million with all those ppl.
