With the singer’s opus serving as a top label priority, Sony execs from around the globe are said to have gathered for a secret meeting in New York last week, where the singer played material from the LP in person. Denis Handlin of Sony Music Australia shared details from the meeting with the Daily Telegraph.

Sony Music Australia boss Denis Handlin flew to New York for meetings with executives last week, and was treated to an audience with the bootylicious lady herself.
The former Destiny’s Child singer rocked up in person to play international Sony executives songs from her new and fourth solo studio album, due for release late June.
Before playing the music, Beyonce said: “I just love making music and sharing it with my fans.”
As a solo artist, Beyonce has sold more than 11 million albums, and millions more with Destiny’s Child.
She is one of the most successful popstars of her generation.
“It was just amazing,” Handlin told Insider of the new music. “She came in and played us six tracks from the album. She wants to do a big tour off the back of this record, which will include Australia. These songs, the best description I can give is groundbreaking; she’s gone to another level.”
Should the June date prove legitimate, the project’s first single should be debuting within the next few weeks. And with fashion icon Roberto Cavalli, yesterday confirming that the singer wore an outfit from his collection while -quote unquote-“filming the first video from her new album”, it may be a matter of weeks rather than days.
With several top-tier releases having disappointed thus far this year (see: Britney, ‘Born This Way’), Bouncy couldn’t have come back sooner! Say what you want about her, but she’s like the mailman – she always delivers.

I couldn’t agree more. Though there are some singers with a lot of potential, R&B music has practically become non existant. Quality artists such as Beyonce and Mariah Carey have the pedastool to change the music industry with their music. The R&B scene needs to pick up from where the early 2000s left of with, and with an improvement. R&B needs to be brought back to its melodical ways and in depth lyrics. Kids these days also need to have their fair share of good music too!
Nevertheless, Beyonce has really improved these last few years. As a big fan of her, I see she has a lot of potential, but sometimes its obvious she doesnt put 100% into her records, but more on her stage presence (which isn’t a negative at all)! Reaching 30, it can be said that it’s expectant to see Beyonce take on a mature, sophisticated but all yet ‘Fierce’ approach to her music, which we have seen with such songs like Me Myself and I.
I as a fan would like to see Beyonce produce a 2011 update of Dangerously in Love, fused with some Aniter Baker’s Rapture, Janet’s Velvet Rope, The Writing’s On The Wall, and perhaps a collaboration with say Letoya, would be hot!! 🙂

OK. As I said a few days ago, the symptoms of Bey Fever have developed even further. They include the following (many examples of which you can see above):
– Posting hate comments under several different names on a B post
– Being the first to hit a B post – before the stans even get here
– Hopeful, baseless predictions that B will flop (the same predictions they make before each era. The same predictions they made before IASF and we all know how that turned out. Two words: Single Ladies)
– Mentioning the names of their faves in hopes to create a stan war and then be deemed ‘justified’ in their pitiful attempts to drag.
– Discussing their fave’s somewhat irrelevant achievements (this is less of an attempt to diminish the Queen’s statistics and more of an endeavour to reassure themselves of their fave’s dwindling relevancy)
We shall see if this Bey Fever progresses and I will discuss THOSE symptoms when they show up.
I predicted last September that we could expect a single Late April/Early May with an album released Late June/Early July. And here we are. The Queen has decided she wants to slay the summer months again. And I am ready.
And, as for those above discussing the ‘hype’ over this project, just in case you haven’t noticed, the Queen hasn’t said a damn thing about how good it’s going to be. In fact, very few of the producers/writers involved have said anything either. If the Sony Exec wishes to air his personal opinion on what she’s coming with, that’s up to him.

Kelly had all of last year to come out and ‘slay’. We were all rooting for her. Yet, she decided to push back her album time and time again. She released several singles, none of which did anything in the States, and B was nowhere to be seen. How exactly did B outshine her then? Through having paps snap her photo and releasing them at the same time? Now Kelly’s album is set to be released Late August. It is simply ridiculous.
Everyone and their mother knew B was set to return in 2011 so saying that she’s releasing new music to prevent Kelly from ‘shining’ is both ignorant and baseless. Kelly had her chance and she wasted it. Time’s up.

The problem with that is that even with your recession seats, for some of your fans it may not be financially or logistically possible to see you live in concert. And although concert DVDs are supposed to capture the best of you on tour I’m sure a lot of other fans would agree that vocally and lacefrontally, the Atlanta show was not the best show on the Destiny Fulfilled tour, the Los Angeles show was damn sure not the best show on the Beyonce Experience tour, and your voice sounded tired at the London Show of the I Am…Tour.
So there are people around the world who still need to be reminded of who you are and what kind of damage and destruction you are capable of.
Now, more than ever, it is important that you deliver jaw-dropping performances this era. There are some people online who are going around using words they don’t know the meaning of. Words like:

Did I miss something? Is Kelly Beyonce’s little girl? How long is Beyonce supposed to mother a grown a– woman? Beyonce’s job is to record and release music, not babsit Kelly. Beyonce took a break and Kelly could have taken advantage of that if she so chose. Beyonce can’t reasonably be expected to juggle her release dates around Kelly’s dates and pushbacks. Damn I thought I was the only one who preferred diva/bitchy Beyonce…..like back in Destiny Child days when she rocked cornrows and belly shirts and acted like that light skinned h** from high school that everyone hated. The first time I heard her say “What u say? She aint no DIVA!!” I almost pissed myself severely, because when you constantly killing the game its to to be cocky. Its ok to be snotty, to be rude in interviews, to frown in photos, and to talk over your group members (yes, you Kelly) like no one gives a damn what they have to say. To the Beyhive, we need to have Bey’s back like no other era this go around. She’s not making Pop music, so the radio’s are likely to not play her music as much as the past. Unless we BUY her singles on itunes like crazy and show these “Monsters” that Gaga isn’t the only rising legend in the game.
This album is going to be a classic, it’s not going to be a Femme Fatale, Music of the Sun etc. where it’s just a bunch of poppy records-it’s real music. We need 700,00 sold first week, at least 5 mil by June of 2012 & if Rihanna can get those number ones, so can we.

Agreed. We B stans need to have our priorities straight this era. Album sales are all well and good, but that’s one of our strong points. We need at least 3 #1s this era and huge singles. Radio play is something we – thankfully – don’t need to worry much about. Stations will play whatever B dishes out simply because she’s B.
I also want some epic videos this era. B needs to deliver vids on the level (and with the budget) of Deja Vu. Perhaps only 4 or 5 singles, well promoted and with great vids will guarantee worldwide #1s.

We really do need to have more number ones. People are always throwing it in our faces that Bey’s only had 2 number ones completely solo, and it’s getting old. Agreed. But the videos must be of quality – and not thrown together efforts like the BHG and Ego vids. B makes more than enough money to put it into her videos. And she must do promo for each single. Simply doing promo for the first two isn’t enough.
And there are so many pressed souls above that we have to pray for. If you were really satisfied in the knowledge that your fave is the best, you wouldn’t feel the need to throw shade in other artists’ posts.

There is little point in arguing with some of my fellow monsters. Over the last few months, it has become startlingly clear to me that many have started feeling themselves. I never attack artists who have been out over a decade for MM; especially as I know that she’s only been out for two and a half years. The fact that certain artists have survived so long in such a competitive industry should be enough to command respect, but it is apparent that some people don’t realise this.

Ok, that’s because album sales have dropped tremendously. Though DIL is her best selling record in the long run, anticipation comes from first week sales, and DIL does not hold her best first week sales. Also, now sales are heating up again, the anticipation and eagerness for fresh, great music is growing. Beyonce will sell well for the simple fact that, she’s Beyonce, and this album will be a classic. Beyonce is the biggest R&B star alive, most respected Pop act in the game, and the best performer alive.
I love Gaga, but it bothers me that people want to throw all of these labels on her when she hasn’t even been in the game for 5 years. Her hype could easily die down, she’s not quite solidified yet. I mean look at this era, everyone’s getting dissapointed. Her lead single, video, and Grammy performance all left many unsatisfied. She still has a long way to go.

LOL. I have four faves – The Trinity & Mariah. I never drag one for the rest because I have so much love for all of them.
And perhaps that outfit was for a promo shoot for the album. In between shooting a video, often artists do photo shoots while the next set is being put up. We never know.

I Am Sasha Fierce is a much better and more complex album than DIL. In all honesty, Brandy, Monica & Ashanti could’ve all released DIL. It wouldn’t have been as great because they couldn’t handle CIL and Beyonce has stronger vocals, but they could’ve done those albums.
The I Am portion of IASF is TIMELESS. Every last song on that disk is perfection. Her vocals, the instrumentals, lyricism, everything. Those songs are what contemperary R&B were meant to be. The Sasha Fierce side has some mediocre misteps, yes. (Diva, Video Phone). However, it also has a modernized Beat It (Sweet Dreams) a superb dance track with actual substance (Radio), a song unlike anything any other artist was releasing in this day and age (Scared of Lonely), a huge vocal, care free love song (Hello), and a fun, midtempo, soulful track (Ego). That album is nowhere near s***, it’s actually extremely underrated. Especially the ballads.
Watch the I Am Yours Concert, get a true feel of that album.

IASF was consistent with some GREAT Songs: Disappear, Halo, Radio, SL, Hello, IIWAB, Smash… It just wasnt a Consistant album but almost all the songs were good in their own right, It had a CPL mishaps but thats MORE than I can say for any of these other albums these days with only like 3 good songs & the Rest mediocre/filler!!

First of all we (stans of mildly relevant artists) are tired of seeing Beyonce everywhere. The Grammy Awards, the MTV Awards, the BET Awards, VH1 Awards, the gatdamn Animal Planet Awards, we’re tired of it. She is NOT God and I am tired of her monopolizing the industry. I am sick of her and her singing on-key, and dancing on beat and getting standing ovations and stupid s*** like that.. YES. BHG is tolerable, but I’d rather Save the Hero be on the actual album rather than being exclusively released in Japan. Save the Hero is one of Bey’s best ballads to date. Video Phone should’ve never been writtern, produced, and recorded.

I’m holding onto April 19 as the release date. Some say April 26, but if they’re doing rehearsals and photoshoots, I don’t think we’re THAT far off. My guess for the album release date is June 21. That way, she can promote a lot in the States, and then have time to do Glastonbury. A June 28 release date is much too packed of a schedule, in my opinion.

You haven’t? I have the Beyonce Experience (since I was going to attend a show but didn’t), and love it, but I’m glad I now have the I Am… Tour DVD’s, because the instrumentals, vocals, and performances from that tour were all perfection. I still don’t understand why she played her most recent show in Seattle at the Key Arena instead of the Tacoma Dome. The Key Arena holds, like, half as many people as the Tacoma Dome does. Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have played/will be playing at the Tacoma Dome; Beyonce should too.
I don’t usually buy albums online (except K-pop and J-pop albums); I usually buy them in stores since I hate waiting…I have no patience whatsoever. But since last September, I think I’ve bought about 20 CD’s, which is way more than my typical two per month. So many great albums have been released, though!
I’m in my fourth year of college; earning a DDS requires eight years of education, while earning an MBD requires four years of education. Moving to Korea for two years won’t affect anything since the Seoul University is so on course with US education techniques, and it’s being recognized by both my university and SU as an exchange. I’ll have 2 more years of my DDS left after I move back from Korea, and I’ll be done with my MBD (I’m continuing it for an extra two years so I could work in the Korean music industry, too).

I still like the Beyonce Experience because one, I never got to see it live, but two, because it’s great to see where she was then and compare it to where she is now. But I agree that it’s NOTHING compared to the I Am… Tour. Did you hear that Sony Australia said that she’s itching to tour again? I’ll make sure to visit my parents when she performs in LA, LOL.
Oh, I did that back in 2008. It was kind of expensive and irritating, but it’s great to have them, and like you said, it’s nice to be able to be share them with others and expose them to a great period of music. The worst part about doing that was that I could’ve bought cheap vinyl’s at this one CD store near my house, but I don’t have a record player.
It’s a lot of work, but I now the pay-off will be great. And really? LOL, it’s so weird how that happens; that you can want to do two completely different things. My plan is to work in either the American or Korean music industry (probably the Korean because it’s less competitive than the American for people behind the scenes, I’ll probably fall in love with Korea once I start living there, and I prefer K-pop) for some time, and once I get older, switch to dentistry.

Exactly! Did you see that one interview from when she first moved to LA, and she was dressed like Taquisha probably does when she tries to be formal? It’s just so amazing and almost humorous to see how much Beyonce has grown. It’s fantastic. I also love, too, that she knows her strong point. Part of the reason I support Rihanna so much as well is because I think she knows what her strong point is, too. I hate when artists try to be/do something they aren’t. It almost always fails.
The store I did that at was in Seattle, sorry 🙁 I haven’t been to LA in 3 years, and I never went to a CD-only store while I was there. I used to shop at vintage CD stores when I was in high school, but I can’t remember their names, sorry. I know lots of flea markets have vinyls, though! Oh, and it’ll be great to tell my kids/patients all my music business stories. I simply cannot wait to begin working. Only four more years until I graduate!

I completely agree. I love how far Beyonce’s come; she’s become a real woman, and it’s amazing to see. Every aspect of her has improved over the years, and she’s clearly much more self-confident these days than she’s ever been. With Nicki, I love her mixtapes, but I hate what she was like then. It’s great to see her becoming herself; she’s confident enough know to be who she always was (same with Rihanna nowadays; am I the only one that’s noticed how much more outgoing she is lately?)…it irritates me that some people can’t see that and think it’s fake.

People mistake coming into adulthood and becoming yourself as a fake front. I noticed Rihanna’s change in attitude to! Same with Chris, they’re finding themselves, and I think it’s amazing. This might be weird, but I think NOW, they’d do much better together. I’m not saying they should get back together, I’m just saying if they were dating now, instead of then, they’d be in much better shape.
I’m loving being back in L.A! Especially since now is when Vegas is really heating up. My cousins & friends out there keep complaining, Lol. I missed L.A so much, every street just brings back so many memories. Some of the biggest highlights of my lfie were spent here, so it just naturally brings happiness to me. I’m somewhat like that to, just not the technical aspects. More of the musical aspects. What instrumentals they used, all the live performances, how the song was developed–things like that.

I agree. I use to be kind of quiet, but towards the end of high school, I became very outgoing, loud, and talkative, and I started wearing brightly colored clothes (among other things). Lots of people thought it was fake, but it wasn’t. I was just finally ready to be myself. I also agree with you. I don’t want them to get back together because it seems like they’d be the kind to go back to the past a lot if they were together again, but I think they’ve matured and are now ready to be in relationships, no b*******, frankly.
I love LA! I wish I could be there. It’s still freezing cold and damp here in Seattle, but I’m excited to go on vacation with a group of my friends this Tuesday, even though it’ll be cold where we’re going, too.

Okay, so I wanted to tell you all what one of my best friends did to his niece (I know that sounds weird, but it’s nothing negative).
So, this particular friend of mine reminds me of a cross between the Scorpion Show’s Ma Kael (he isn’t gay; though that’s irrelavent), @Kavion, and Safaree (Nicki Minaj’s hype man). He stans for Beyonce and Nicki Minaj, but he is a HUGE Beyonce stan. He saw her live once during the Beyonce Experience, and twice during the I Am… Tour. He owns all of her albums (including live albums and EPs), all of her DVDs, he has an entire wall devoted to her, he’s met her twice, has a few of her autographs, etc., etc. But he reminds me of Kavion since he isn’t delusional at all, and is very open-minded like him.
Anyways, his sister lives in Seattle like us, and her daughter, who is 3, loves music. Being the Beyonce stan that he is, he jokingly showed her Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” video, and is now trying to raise her as a Beyonce stan. He shows her the music videos and dance moves all the time, gave her copies of her CDs and DVDs, and memorabilia and merchandise. He’s determined to make her a Beyonce stan, LOL.

Beyonce’s Twitter page is unverified and has no tweets, so I doubt it’s her. Beyonce doesn’t seem like someone who would tweet. But then again, neither does Jay-Z, and he uses Twitter.
