Wow, the author is clearly a Gaga fan..like reading Perez Hilton’s blogs trying to make Gaga out to more than what she is. try. She also had one of the biggest drops in sales for any of the 17 albums that have sold 1 million in a week. Her sales dropped 85% in it’s second week. Yes, an album that sells that much is expected to drop but not that much. It still should shift about 300,000 it’s second week. Proof that her sales were largely contributed to the .99 sales.

So now, Patricia Williams is a “disgruntled employee,” after she put Rihanna’s finances ‘out there,’ right upon “Main Street”..?! If Rihanna was a victim of Ms. Williams’ fraud/ineptitude, then where’s the Law Suit? At the VERY least, she should have had a “confidentiality clause/agreement/provision” in her contract with Ms. Williams, no? Public perception is key to ‘artist marketability,’ yes? So, with Ms. Williams NOW coming forward, again I ask – “Where’s Rihanna’s suit against her for fraud, embezzlement, and/or defamation/slander?” Where’s the THREATS of/for such legalities? Where’s the Law Enforcement investigation into any supposed illegal/unethical practices by Ms. Williams?
There were none of the above, “legalities/legal actions,” because Ms. Williams had told the truth: “Rihanna is a ‘singles artist,’ and THAT being the case, Def Jam does NOT finance her. So, her music career is now “self financed”..!!” Rihanna has since then fired Marc Jordan (her longtime manager) and has now entered into a 360 contract with Def Jam. Rihanna/Team-Fenty couldn’t have sites such as smokinggun feed an already “Rihanna-weary public” that ‘$400K/concert Last Girl On Earth story.’ No Sir! That bit of ‘back-room string pulling’ was/is done by an ‘insider with industry connections.’ One such as Def Jam/Jay Z.
(Lastly..)Logic dictates that Forbes is basing that $30-Million figure large on Phantom $400K/concert contracts. “Suppositions” that if ‘logically reasoned,’ would THEN only lead one to conclude that Rihanna’s CD-sales/Marketability couldn’t have supported: Rihanna did not/could not have made $400K/concert, and thus did NOT earn $30-Million.

Blah, blah, blah . . . you have no concrete evidence, only links to tabloid sites from 3 years ago and imaginary conspiracy theories. None of which are more credible than Forbes magazine. Only in your imagination was the contract Rihanna signed (before the tour began) guaranteeing her 410K a performance on LGOE tour phantasmal. Her tour had about five cancelled or rescheduled dates, (unless you’re willing to prove otherwise, which you won’t) in the US only. She still played the other 20 or so scheduled dates, and had sold out legs in Europe and Australia. Any show that wasn’t profitable was cancelled.
Look, I know you’re upset that Forbes just vindicated everything I was saying last week about her earnings. 410K times 73 shows is just shy of 30M. This new Forbes list just made it that much harder for you and your hater like ilk to suggest that LGOE tour and Rated R were a bust. The only time she didn’t get paid the 410K was when a show got cancelled, which didn’t happen often, because she played 73 shows. Don’t worry, hun. I’ll put you on s****** watch when the numbers for LOUD album and tour in next year’s edition of Forbes.

Again, there is NO way any concert promoter/business man, who themselves had witnessed ‘8.2-Million supposed-sympathetic souls,’ watch her 09 20/20 interview, then-there-after largely dismiss her(by their absence at ‘Rated-R’ retail counters) would THEN give her GUARANTEED monies: $400k/concert performance! To even then suggest anything else is condescending, if not an insult to one’s intelligence!
The ‘lead/run up’ to that “most-telling 2009 20/20 interview” came with Rihanna’s silence for almost 1-year. A year that saw the weekly (obligatory) “Sidewalk Fenty-Fashonista Extravaganza.” A year that was awashed by/with that TMZKoolaid that left a naive/weary public judging Chris as “The Villain Of Feb 8th, 2009 Chrianna”; and her as the never-did-no-wrong-Spring Lamb!
All of the aforementioned came to an climax when she sat for that well-rehearsed, highly-choreographed, high-gloss add-water-and-mix cotton-candy interview! I’d never before witnessed such a ‘well-orchestrated media storm,’ as the run-up to that said interview. And then, all for what? NOTHING… That’s what..!!!
After a year of being “The WORLD’S Matron Saint Of The Wronged and Forsaken,” Rihanna then sat for that interview and was THEN judged to be “Unbelievable, Untrustworthy and therefore, Unmarketable..!! Never before in the history of marketing/promotion, was such resources expended on an artist/brand, but to only then have it/then then fall well-short of expectations; thereby bitterly disappointing!
(To contrast..) Chis’ DWTS appearance (if YOU read the comments on the mainstream blogs) was generally met with a collectively ‘disapproving of his GMA behavior,’ but then, in the very next sentence, then commending his dancing skills/showmanship. This, one can then ONLY conclude, will serve HIM well come his upcoming U.S./European ‘F.A.M.E’ tour (which’ll itself, once it begins, reenergize ‘F.A.M.E’ sales)..!!
