Got plans for Valentine’s Day?
You do? Well, be sure to carve out time for ABC’s ‘The View’ on the day, as its this show Pop icon Mariah Carey has chosen to promote her brand new single…‘Be Mine.’
Full story below!!
Pulled from her Jermaine Dupri-driven new album, ‘The Art of Letting Go‘, ‘Mine’ is set to make its debut on February the 14th, and receive its very first promotional spot on the Barbara Walters-led series, months before the LP’s release.
“Mariah had previously promised some sort of announcement on Valentine’s Day, though perhaps she’s doing it early on The View because she’s busy on that day. As previously reported, on February 14, she’ll be giving a private Valentine’s Day concert at her home for a lucky winner and a companion. She’s auctioning off the private show via the website Prizeo.com, to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”
Alas, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t a little concerned. For, as exciting as new Mariah music will always be, the ‘mess’ that her ‘live’ performances garnered last year has us hoping her camp have all bases covered this time around.
Well…how does one put this politely? With her voice no longer what it was, we’re hoping multiple recordings of ‘Mine’ have been made to serve as ‘live versions’ if ever the need to mime arises.
Indeed, while her die-hard fans may notice, Joe Public will be none the wiser if Carey is armed with a pre-recorded vocal designed for live shows, giving her a healthy chance of selling the single and its supporting album without having headlines like these ruining her chances of doing so.
With the above in mind, let us know…
