May 6th marks the spot for Mariah Carey.
The premium diva is set to release her 14th studio album next month and in the absence of a hit is taking to the promo trail early.
Carey, who celebrated her 44th birthday last month, sat down with ET Canada recently – dishing garishly on the project and its four-year recording process. The singer also revealed that her 3-year-old twins (who she affectionately dubs “Dem Babies”) feature on a song titled ‘Supernatural’.

How does an album have no option but to top the charts… just because the recording and creative proccess lasted 4 years? How is that a reason? Firstly, no artist of Mariah´s age or debut date is topping any charts in 2014, secondly, if anything, those 4 years should provide us great material, that´s the logic, not chart toppers. I honestly think this album is going to tank spectacularly. I anticipate it being her lowest selling album yet. Much worse than Glitter and Memoirs.
