If anyone’s winning AOTY it’s Bey or Sam. This is supposedly Sams year so… I don’t know about this Beck album but there’s no way Pharrell or even Ed are gonna win!!! How come Sing never got nominated??? Also if Bey or Ed win, Pharrell has credits on both so he kinda wins…

Congrats Bey! And to think she holds this at 33 year’s of age. I want her to snatch Alison Krauss record as the most awarded Grammy female artist tho.

  3. Sad sad sad December 6, 2014

Grammy is too mainstream now and deteriorating. Almost like MTV and AMAs. Sad era we live in..

  4. rosy December 6, 2014

Who really cares about grammies anymore it’s not about good music it’s about who is popular at moment Sam is and next year is someone new last year it was lorde Nicki Minaj fail to capture in key category iggy and the queen of rap lil kim is rolling laughing Nicki you seem to burn bridges with your cocky attitude

  6. let’s be real December 6, 2014

im happy for beyonce and a few others but some of the nominees here are a COMPLETE joke and we really have to say are we going to accept this?music quality is really at an all time low and its only a few artist in the mainstream who make good music and or good music videos. i call a summit.before its too late what can we do to get higher quality music?

  7. Shady Like Lady Caca December 6, 2014

Lady Gaga is nominated in “Nobody Cares” category.

    😀

  8. Unbiased December 6, 2014

But who else deserves it? I think this is one of the categories they got right, well minus Pharrell. Sam and Beyonce put out great bodies of work. I think Beyonce deserves it a bit more. From the concept of the visual album, to being critically acclaimed. Her album was also far more diverse using elements of Hip Hop, R&B, Disco, Pop etc. That album release shook the industry.

  9. Nina December 6, 2014

Grammy is becoming irrelevant, juvenile and mundane show.

  10. NT December 6, 2014

I think Sam will win 4 of his nominations and i also feel like Beyonce will take home at least 2, we all know how the Grammy’s love beyonce.

  11. S****** Blonde December 6, 2014

The Grammys and Beyoncé, is a story i will never understand, she is one of the main reasons, why they have lost credibility.

    • RICHIE_RICH December 6, 2014

      Why do you say? Honestly

    • Pat December 6, 2014

      @S******, I agree!!!

    • Trellbeylike December 6, 2014

N**** really, let me log off. Half of Bey’s grammys are for her vocal performances. Yall bitter.

  12. Unbiased December 6, 2014

Beyonce when’s most of her Grammy’s in the urban categories, because that’s what most of her albums are. 6% of her wins come from general categories. Some of you always try to discredit her achievements which is why she continues to win 🙂

    • Stacy December 6, 2014

SUCCESS is Beyoncé’s FU to her haters, and I love it.

  13. Unbiased December 6, 2014

    *wins

  14. I STAN(D) FOR TALENT December 6, 2014

Yass to the talented! Beyo… Oops, I mean Sam Smith FTW!!!!

  15. Islandboi242 December 6, 2014

YAWL WHO HATING ON NICKI SAYING IGGY IS QUEEN..YAWL DO KNOW TWO NOMINATIONS AND NO ALBUM OUT IS MASSIVE.I SO THINK THOSE IGGY NOMINATIONS ARE A SET UP.NO WAY SHE SHOULD B NOMINATED FOR MOST OF THOSE CATS.RAP ALBUM? ITS A JOKE

    • DJY December 6, 2014

Personally, my favorite feminin rapper is Azealia Banks because I love the way she articulates and she sings. Have you ever tried to sing one of her song? You better catch your breath because it ain’t easy believe me. She’s my favorite but I don’t hate Nicki or Iggy, I think they all are talented. The only thing i’m sure of is that Iggy has always had respect for Nicki, wishing her last album to be amazing, telling at her ear sweet words to support her. And all I see now is Nicki trying to destroy Iggy so… why?? This rap game is so ridiculous, fans of each artists should focus on music and only music, that war of Queens is futile and will last long because there will always be someone else to do something different. When I don’t like THE MUSIC of an artist, well I don’t listen to it and that’s all, no need to hate.

  16. Cake like Lady GaGa December 6, 2014

Not Sam Smith getting ready to snatch t********* bald.. And where is Lana drunk rey, I have turned the list upside down trying to find her name 😀

    • DEL BEY December 6, 2014

where’s the supposed biggest pop star of this decade? where are the nominations for the supposed album of the millennium? lol

  17. DanYiel Teflon December 6, 2014

I say Go in Iggy Azaela get your Trophys!! Lmbo at Tricki Garbagh not being nominated like she thinks she SHOULD BE!! I’m CTFU….

  18. DJY December 6, 2014

What about Sam Smith? 6 nominations and I hope he will win all of them because he’s truly talented. Go on Sam !

  19. Mark111 December 6, 2014

I knew Beyonce would get a AOTY nom. I bet she’ll win it as well. But who knows, Beck may grab it. The top awards rarely goes to the most popular album.

  20. RoyalKev December 6, 2014

Congrats to Beyonce! Her nominations are very well deserved. It’s unfortunate that only a few talented artists in today’s music (like Bey, Sam, Sia, Coldplay and John Legend) allow the industry to save face. Few musicians are worthy of awarding Grammys these days. Some people get upset over Bey’s Grammy success, but when you look into the pool of gimmick and struggle artists we have the logic behind these victories becomes clearer with each passing year. It’s a real shame that songs like ‘All About That Base’, ‘Shake It Off’ and ‘Fancy’ could all be potential winners (and I have nothing against Iggy and Taylor). To me a “hit” and something memorable that defines an era are two separate things now.

    • Pat December 6, 2014

You don’t understand how songs like “All About That Base, Shake It Off and Fancy could all be potential winners”?

The same way “Drunk in Love” is, lmao! You sound really stupid, young, and naive!

      • RoyalKev December 6, 2014

First of all I said it’s a shame, not that I couldn’t understand how those songs could be potential winners (in 2014)…

Second of all, I didn’t mention DIL. I think of Bey’s music as a solid body of work. You’re way too in your feelings about her.

Third of all, if you find ‘DIL’ to be along the same lines as songs like ‘All About that Base’, ‘Shake it off’ and ‘Fancy’ I just can’t fix your problem. Good luck with that.

      • Pat December 6, 2014

@Royal, you’re obviously retarded, lmao! I’m in no way defending drunk in love. How u got that out of my comment will forever be a mystery. Have a good one trick, lol!

  21. ME December 6, 2014

Hahaha congrats to Queen Bey and LOL at the trolls that were throwing weak shades when they thought she was only nominated for one award

  22. Pat December 6, 2014

People still watch award shows? Anyways, is Beyonce’s father still a member of the GRAMMY Board Committee? I still for the life of me can’t figure out how people are shocked at her being nominated and winning at least one grammy every year.

    • Carmen December 6, 2014

Beyonces father was only a memeber of the grammys commitee in 2002. You cannot be a member of the commitee with a relative nominated. The haters reached for years with that lie.

      • Pat December 6, 2014

@Carmen Oh ok, just wasn’t sure. I guess she’s paying for the grammy’s I see how she wins now, thanks have a nice day!

      • Carmen December 6, 2014

Hahah, again naivity at its finest. If you can just pay for Grammys don’t you think Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Diana Ross and many others would have done so by now? Tommy Matolla would have paid more for Mariahs the same way they paid for Payola. Grow up. And you have the nerve to call others naive and child like yet you believe you can just bribe your way into getting Grammys? The amount you people accuse Beyonce of paying for… She puts more money back into the industry than she gets out of it. #NoLogic.

      • Pat December 6, 2014

@Carmen, she has more money to pay her dues each year. But thanks anyways your advice was less helpful. Have a good one ☺

      • TheElusiveLamb December 6, 2014

Mariah has NOTHING to do with this. STFU.

      • SMH December 6, 2014

Wrong. Matthew Knowles resigned from the Grammy Committee in 2008. Beyonce fans are good at making up shiit to cover the truth.

      • Carmen December 6, 2014

Its not made up. Its on the Grammys official website so stop being a sheep.

@Pat stay naive and childish. You’re using Forbes to your convinience when you dont want to believe it otherwise.

    • Carmen December 6, 2014

I suggest some of you google the grammy rules and regulation if you still are naive enough to believe Mathew was a member of the commitee every year Beyonce won.

    • let’s be real December 6, 2014

why do people believe that? google is your friend! he WAS a member but the comittee is made up of several people so her dads ONE vote isnt going to ammount to much.17 grammys later and i believe shell walk out with 3 more WITHOUT her father just like the 6 sasha era wins and the grammy for Love On Top. the grammys loves beyonce because unlike whoever your basic fave people want to watch her perform

    • Yeah I Said it December 6, 2014

I wish people like you would just use common sense. If Beyonce paid for awards don’t you think she would have paid for the Album of the year (the most important one) by now. Smh.

  23. Cici da baddest December 6, 2014

Am sick of dis overrated b****

    • DEL BEY December 6, 2014

I’m sick of Ziaras washed up image, this b**** stuck in ’03 the b**** can’t even reinvent each era #lessor

  24. Carmen December 6, 2014

Beyonce is now officially the most nominated female in Grammys history. People forget most of her awards are in Urban Categories which is why she sweeps most of them. Her and Alicia Keys both have been very consistent in that genre. But I really hope she wins AOY that is MUCH more competitive but I would say now is the time she deserves it in her career.

    • RICHIE_RICH December 6, 2014

Yess I feel she has paid her dues. I think she or Sam should win AOTY

  25. RICHIE_RICH December 6, 2014

Yassssssss I want here to win aoty!!!!!

  26. RICHIE_RICH December 6, 2014

People will try and discredit anything Beyonce does or achieve……..

  27. girlbye December 6, 2014

They gonna give it to sam just like adele.

    • Kim Kardashian Stan December 6, 2014

Sam deserves his nominations unlike beyonce or nicki

  28. Kim Kardashian Stan December 6, 2014

Beyonce will win in all the ghetto nominations we know that.

Sam smith will be the big winner while Nicki walks away empty handed again.

    • Lolz December 6, 2014

Dumb w**** stan, theres no such thing as a ghetto GRAMMY nomination. Death @ you bandwagoning for Sam when you probably have not even listend to the album and couldn’t name one non single without google.

    • DEL BEY December 6, 2014

Excuse me? why are you here, go create an account on pornhub and start a stan war with the p*** stars there, S***

      • Mark111 December 6, 2014

        O_o

      • BeyxMaraj December 6, 2014

        @DelBey, Loooooooooooool, I can’t.

  29. Lolz December 6, 2014

Dead at the trolls saying Beyonce was snubbed in the other post though.

  30. DEL BEY December 6, 2014

Beyonce will and always keep the haters steamed, pressed, salty & burnt after all you can’t reach the heights she has without a few bitter leaches, she will win at least one award and it will be one more than your fav. most nominated woman of all time damn, is there much more she could slay at?

  31. Rihboy December 6, 2014

Ehhh. Some of these nominations are tragic. Is bet forever going to lead with just dil? Anaconda for best rap? I really hope her anaconda don’t !

  32. DEL BEY December 6, 2014

The meltdowns if iggy wins a Grammy over nicki, I will have a meltdown, giving a faux white Australian non lyrics writing gimmick one of music most prestigious accolade? I will die

    • Andrew December 6, 2014

Get a life and stop living thru celebrities you look pathetic.

    • FutureCIARA December 6, 2014

How old are you? and why are you more concerned about a celebrities life than your own?

  33. TheElusiveLamb December 6, 2014

Congratulations to B & Sam. I’m very sure given the last few years of eins, that Sam will be the winner though. Those who do deserve their nominations always get snubbed. If B doesn’t perform, I won’t watch. It will be like watching the T*** Choice or Halo Awards with my niece by myself.

    • TheElusiveLamb December 6, 2014

      Of wins**

  34. Sherry December 6, 2014

This will be Sams year! He’s an amazing talent and deserves every nomination!!

  35. JOHNVIDAL December 6, 2014

Some of the nominations are good some others aren´t.
I´m not too excited for the biggest category: Album Of The Year. Pretty weak.
Apart from that “All about that bass”, “Shake it off” or “Fancy are songs that don´t deserve any type of recognition of this caliber.
At least people like Katy Perry didn´t receive any important nominations and there are some really nice categories, just not the 3 main ones.
I just hope that Sam Smith wins many so that someone who doesn´t deserve anything wins.

  36. So Meh December 6, 2014

Grammy is racist. There are so many black urban artists deserve more recognitions in the US. To cover up they put Beyonce. Beyonce is just a bait.

    🙁

    • Sherry December 6, 2014

Spare me! Black artists ruled the 90s and early/mid 2000’s! It’s the urban fans fault for simply not supporting their artists anymore! Believe it or not, the urban community decides what’s cool! I mean, look at the industry now!!! Y’all don’t support then complain when award shows shut your favs out…THEN you all l don’t support your own award shows that were created for YOUR ARTISTS! Imagine how us Latinas feel! There’s more to us than J.Lo! We create and support our own stuff! We don’t sit around and wait for “their” approval! I love R&B music and will continue to support it regardless of sales.

      • Mark111 December 6, 2014

I’ll have to agree. I hear thr BET awards called the EBT awards way too many times. We have to rep ourselves. Look at the CMA, most are not on this list, but they rep their own and show up and show out at their award show. But out artst won’t even make an appearance at the soul train awards.

  37. Mr Yea ok December 6, 2014

Beyonce will win in the RnB categories hands down. I got her walking away with 3 Grammys. Bringing her total to 20. Sam deserves all of his success. I purchased his album and still listen to it often. I think he will walk away with 4. Although I adore them both I want this to be Beyonce AOTY. I mean how often can u put out something so epic? Sam could easily have another swing at it. If beyonce wins AOTY there will be no need to even debate on this blog anymore about her. Beyonce will be officially superior. Lol

  38. SMH December 6, 2014

Grammys are no longer relevant. So team beyonce can buy/manipulate/collect all the Grammys they want, they’re not held at the same caliber anymore.

    • Yeah I Said it December 6, 2014

According to who? You? Lol. Good job your opinion is irrlevant.

  39. BeyxMaraj December 6, 2014

Snaaaaaaaaaaaaatch those dirty wigs Bey!!! Only you can show those lessors how it’s done.

  40. RICHIE_RICH December 6, 2014

Oh so the the Grammies don’t mean anything now…… Oh the irony of it all!

  41. Rosie December 6, 2014

The Grammys are extremely biased and are on the same level as the AMAs on this point. You all are talking about how they lost credibility because Bey is the most nominated female in history but have you all realized that every single one of her wins are in specific genre categories and not in General Field except for one? And as always she’s the “token” and all the other black artists are relegated to the Urban categories. Yes I know I stan Iggy but even I am able to see this.
No wonder they’re only taken seriously by the brainless, knowledgeless pop crowds.

    • CherylSoldierr December 6, 2014

You’re so stupid. They obviously matter to all of your faves, record execs, the artist’s legacy. Only indie snobs that live in a bubble, like you, stress this much about a f****** grammy. 99%?of the pop doesn’t care sis.

      • Rosie December 6, 2014

“My fave” didn’t even attend last year when she was actually nominated, had an invite, and somewhat had a chance at at least one, so?
Pretty much everyone except delusional stans see this year’s noms as laughable. Just yesterday “Best Rap Album” was trending because Twitter was dragging pretty much all of the nominees, not just Iggy, and saying that Schoolboy Q’s album was the only decent one. Dead at you excusing it on “indie snobs” when there are plenty of legends and industry people who have constantly dissed it for years.

      • CherylSoldierr December 6, 2014

Exactly who? Not you citing a MINORITY opinion and pushing it as fact. I hate elitist snobs like you who were screaming about their fave receiving nominations last year, but are now using this struggle argument in your fave’s defense.

  42. Hadley December 6, 2014

Lool people who say the Grammies dont mean anything have faves slacking in that department thats all. As soon as their fave wins album of the year they’d be boasting for Jesus. Congrats Beyonce she deserves it. And i’ll scream when she wins WITHOUT mathew. What will be the excuses then?

    • Rosie December 6, 2014

Except she already has won without him.

  43. Yeah I Said it December 6, 2014

This awards show is not about quality anymore yet everyones saying Sam Smith will win over Beyonce because hes more ‘quality’. The contradiction. You people just don’t want to see Beyonce win because it will elevator into legendary lane even more. And if she wins it will be ‘oh she paid for it’. Some people don’t realize how stupid they sound. Even if she doesn’t win AOY im sure she’ll pick up something and shes already most nominated female in history.

  44. Yeah I Said it December 6, 2014

But I actually wouldn’t be mad of Sam Smith wins his album was fantastic and hes a very nice guy. He also said Beyonce was an influence on his album.

  45. fatusankoh December 6, 2014

You go bey I hope she wins all well deserve long live queen bey may God continue to bless proteict you and your family for life long happy life ever lasting long happy married more success in all you do good luck with the Grammies and every thing good

  46. CherylSoldierr December 6, 2014

Congrats to Rihanna on her nomination. xx

    • Johboi December 6, 2014

      Meaning( rihanna)

  47. metzo December 6, 2014

RnB is a genre that Bey is predominant in. So I’m not even worried about that, cause she wins 80% of the time.
I hope she not only wins AOTY but all 6 of her noms including ,” Best surround Album sound” cause she deserves it plus the way she was snubbed for “4” still shocks me, it wasn’t even nominated for best RnB or Contemporary Album. The Grammys completely slept on “4”. This year is hers.

    • RoyalKev December 6, 2014

      Preach Metzo!

  48. Slay_Hive December 6, 2014

Yass Congrats to Beyonce. Well deserved. 😀

  49. CATFISH CAREY December 6, 2014

NO SHADE BUT ANACONDA SHOULDN’T HAVE RECEIVED A GRAMMY NOD BECAUSE NOW SHE IS GONNA BE ENCOURAGED TO MAKE MORE SONGS LIKE ANACONDA

  50. Tyler December 6, 2014

I hope she snatches AOTY *fingers crossed*

  51. Keri Qween December 6, 2014

Hahahahaha, remember JT having a great year, but was payed dust when it came to the Grammys top awards? Lol fun times. And ArtPop, where’s a nom for that? She can’t get a nom, but Anaconda can? Lol

Scratching my head when people be talkin’ about QUALITY music… How do you measure the quality of muSic? I mean, not all music is intended to make you cry and not all music must sound like 1980’s, I mean we HAVE that, if you want 60’s soul or 80’s pop just search for it, nobody needs to recreate that. So what exactly, describes music quality? Has the meaning of quality become synonymous with popularity? Is quality, a response to what you hearing or how many instruments are in it or lyrics? Like, if you keep listening to it, then it should be of good quality… Right?

LMAO wow all BeyDobe had to do was strip, twerk her hardest and grind on that pole the hardest to get this “get viewers tuned in” joke of a nomination on AOTY we all know she is not going to win, that is if the Grammy’s have got any credibility left to salvage.

The Grammy’s is a joke, Payola Perry in best pop vocal? StruggleConda got a nomination and now BeyDobe is nominated for AOTY for a trashy, sexapade, filth of an album?

The Grammy’s is officially a joke, if they have any credibility left, they’ll give that AOTY award to Sam Smith.

I personally loved Beyonces album. She covered so many things on that album from post natal depression, death, relationships, maternal love. People who say the album is not quality music are clearly on something. Yes she is extremley popular, yes there was hype around it but it was also backed up because it is a good body of work. It will be deserved if she wins but if she does not, shes still the most nominated female artists ever so thats huge. Its also hilarious that haters automatically bandwagon for any artist who has potential to outdo her lol. Now all of a sudden everyone is betting on Sam Smith to win to when 90% probably have and will continue to pay him dust.

I wouldn’t even be mad at the Grammys if Pills n Plastic was nominated but of course they pick out the highest charting single. We all know NARAS is made up of 35+ year old white males who would rather be “hip” and nominate the trash on their kid’s iPod than, you know, actually appreciate good music.
Of course, unless it’s on an untelevised category. The dance nominees, probably for the first time ever, are all superb. NO Skrillex. None. Thank God.
