The ink is officially dry!

Rita Ora has a new label home – and is finally opening up about it.

Full story below…

Taking to Instagram moments ago, the chart-topping singer revealed that she has signed with Atlantic Records.

I’m so thankful to my new Atlantic Records family for all their support and encouragement! The next chapter is going to be incredible!

The star, who has had five UK #1’s said in a statement:

“Music is my first love and I am looking forward to getting my new songs released. I’m thankful to my new Atlantic Records family for all their support and encouragement. The next chapter is going to be incredible.”

President of Atlantic Records [UK] Ben Cook added:

“Rita is a rare talent and a true global star. First and foremost she’s a great singer who’s hugely passionate about music and I’m delighted to welcome her to Atlantic Records. We look forward to getting in the studio with her and making an incredible album.”

The deal is for the release of her music globally. Word has it that negotiations wrapped recently and a major roll-out is planned for the next phase of the singer’s music career.

As widely reported, Ora had been engaged in a legal wrangle with Roc Nation, to who she had been jointly signed since 2009 (the other partner in the equation being Columbia Records).

According to a suit filed by the Brit-bred songbird, her career was being caged by the Roc’s lack of attention – which was caused largely by its diversified business interests. The latter included a new sports management division and the forming of a standalone record label at Universal – the rival to Ora’s then-label (which was housed over at Sony).

The end result, she argued, effectively left her orphaned musically, forced to fund her own recordings, and tasked with ramping up her other endeavours in the realm of TV, film, and fashion to keep her brand afloat. Much of which was reportedly sought out by her non-Roc management.

With the drama over (not before the Jay Z imprint countersued and eventually settled), clearly Ora’s undeniable work ethic has paid off.

We’re oh so buzzed to see and hear how her new chapter unfolds.

Rita is a multi-layered talent and is armed with the momentum gained from her many ventures. It’ll be exciting to see how the Atlantic team use this to their advantage and course hers.

And just like every other deal she’s ever inked with a label, this one will flop even harder. If they can’t revive Jojo’s career, what makes them think they’ll have any success with her?

    • Maurice June 20, 2016

if she can’t win with Rihanna’s management and Jay-Z’s label, how is she gonna win with Atlantic of ALL labels? Hmm, but let’s see what she comes out with.
I’m predicting a dance record, which I won’t be here for.

  2. #JACKIE June 20, 2016

I was about to say, look at Jojo. She signed with them and they did nothing for her career. There is nothing special about this RIHta. Her voice is decent (she sounds like one of those Little Mix girls). She’s an average performer. She’s a basic looker and she has no true style of her own, music or fashion wise. She should stick with being a socialite.

    • Maurice June 20, 2016

Says a Ciara stan. And I’m not even coming for you because of Ciara’s sales or anything, but since ‘The Evolution,’ everything Ciara has released was absolute trash. Teaming with Dr Luke and all these dance producers. She hasn’t had a true hit since 2006, and she knows this yet continues to come out with these disgusting pop records, claiming “this is my best work so far.” No bish, Goodies and Evolution was, now stop saying you’re waiting for marriage before you phuck Russel’s brains out and get back in the studio, record some RnB gems.

      • #JACKIE June 20, 2016

Yawn! Y’all are so TIRED! I said what I said and it has nothing to do with Ciara. Stay pressed over her f*****. She owns your mind.

      • Tori June 20, 2016

WAIT…we can’t forget about “Ciara”, I mean that’s where she should’ve went after “The Evolution”. Like most ppl, I act as if “Fantasy Ride”, “Basic Instinct” & “Jackie” never happened. Her self titled project was amazing but handled entirety wrong by her and Epic Records.

      • #JACKIE June 20, 2016

Yawn AGAIN! Yes Ciara has faced a lot of lows and road blocks in her career, but SHE IS STILL HERE!!! Every time I comment, here comes y’all f*** foaming at the mouths throwing weak shade. I don’t care sis! I said what I said. MUAH!!!!

      • Maurice June 20, 2016

Bish, if why are you yawning?
Go to bed if you’re tired.

    • Dev June 20, 2016

Honestly, those Little Mix girls (well, two of them) are better vocally than Rita.
$am’s posts on Rita are so embellished with information when not that much people really care.

      • #JACKIE June 20, 2016

Yes they have great voices, but Rita kinda sounds like one of them. She doesn’t have her own sound.

  3. grapejuicefan June 20, 2016

Home of modern R&B let’s see what she has in store.

  7. Duffster Lovato June 20, 2016

Can’t wait for her new music….

  8. #TeamTinashe Stan June 20, 2016

Rita is lucky that Jay Z helped launch her career because if that was the case, Atlantic would just give her limited promo and no late night tv promos as they proved over and over with K Michelle, Sevyn Streeter, Trevor Jackson and etc.

Also I heard that Jay Z signed her replacement which is Justin Syke I think.
Atlantic has YET to push Sevyn Streeter and Trevor Jackson as they BOTH have extreme great potential to run the R&B world.

    • CherylSoldierr June 20, 2016

You’re so fuckinnnn dumb. Rita is not r&b. Her music reaches a broader audience than k michelle

      • #TeamTinashe Stan June 20, 2016

Where did I say Rita Ora does “R&B”?
        Are you on meth?
Reading is fundamental boo boo 😉

  9. LB June 20, 2016

Good job Rita and good luck

  10. CherylSoldierr June 20, 2016

She sure doesn’t have 5 uk number ones. Cheryl holds that record.

  11. IG : @mixedboy June 20, 2016

Lord this girl is like a cat with nine lives. They just keep trying to make her happen. The US doesn’t want her.

    • What Now June 20, 2016

DEATH. You didn’t lie tho. They can do whatever they want to, this girl is going to flop… again.

  12. Mimi June 20, 2016

At least fave is not afraid to release in the US or tour all over the world

  13. truthtea June 20, 2016

Ok, when it comes to Ciara’s music since Evolution, it hasn’t all been complete crap! Music trends change every 5 to 10 years and all Ciara tried to do was progress with it. All of these veterans tried to do the same and they were accused of copying and following trends then when they went back to their roots, people accuse them of being out of touch with the times. D*med if they do, d*med if they don’t!

    • #JACKIE June 20, 2016

Right! I love ALL of Ciaras albums. People are just biased when it comes to her, and 9/10 the people who shade her music the most hasn’t even listened to a Cici album since Goodies.

  14. #JACKIE June 20, 2016

Speaking of the QUEEN, Ciara is currently shooting with the legendary Iman. #SUPERMODELTEAS

    • Kev June 20, 2016

No shade, but what exactly is Ciara the queen of?

  15. Cinnamon Girl June 20, 2016

Yass, hunty! Folks can call Ciara whatever they want but sheet she’s making millions of dollars modeling high flash clothes. #TrueTea

  16. jdek June 20, 2016

  19. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? June 20, 2016

So unbelievably ready for Ci Ci’s return to music. I really need her and Rih to squash the beef to do a song together. It’ll do so much good for both of them. Any day now! Anyway, I have a feeling that this next album will be THE ONE since everything’s going right in her life right now. New label and I’m sure they’ll promote and release the pop songs to radio.

  20. J June 20, 2016

Thank you for this sponsored message.

  21. MusicFan103 June 20, 2016

I don’t think that she is a star fit for music. If she was meant for this her career would have popped already. I mean guys lets realize she has been signed since like 2006-2008 and has hardly had one hit. The hit she had, is thanks to Iggy Azalea fame in 2014, not even her own single.

Good luck to Rita Ora, but she needs to make herself seem not so boring. She almost suffers from the Leona Lewis issue with in terms of personality, luckily for her she seems or least comes off younger than Leona.

I personally do not see a big Pop music career for her, especially to become extremely famous at this point in the USA. She seems to focused on being an X Factor judge, part time model, etc.

  22. well well June 20, 2016

sure… why not?!? hope it helps. she was never bad for music. can’t blame anybody that roc nation is a label with dirty magic tho.

  23. B2B June 20, 2016

Including her work with Destiny’s Child, beyonce has the most Billboard No. 1 singles of the 2000s for a credited vocalist (8 total). Shut yo mouth and say it ain’t so!! I see why Bey ain’t pressed over no #1s she want them stadium checks!

  24. Kev June 20, 2016

Damn, is Ciara the only one with no record deal lol no shade lol.

  25. Reddish tran ivy blokz Need UK timely Ukuyi June 21, 2016
