Above are the 2017 NME nominations which see Beyonce and her new album ‘Lemonade’ lead with five noms, outperforming efforts made by the likes of Drake, Usher, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

NME’s editor-in-chief Mike Williams said of this year’s nominations….

Every year we’re bowled over by the enthusiasm of the NME readers, voting in their thousands for their favourite bands, artists, tracks, albums and more. Covering every genre under the sun, this year’s shortlists reflect what an incredible 12 months of music we’ve had, both from returning superstars and brand new artists. We can’t wait to get them together in O2 Academy Brixton for the most rock ‘n’ roll night of the year, The VO5 NME Awards. Bring it on.

Awesome!

2017 is already shaping up to be another SLAYFUL year for Beyonce. Funny things this will be another run of the mill award show she WILL NOT ATTEND! They will mail these to her and the haters can stay mad! Let the haters start the “oh she paid for these awards comments” in 5,4,3,2,1

  5. UPGRADEBOY January 13, 2017

    • HailLegendBeysus January 13, 2017

    • Quad Stan January 13, 2017

But the gag is, u sold out your racist rock’n’roll faves, when you decided to spend 5 years trolling an urban blog

    • Surprise..(DEC 2013) January 13, 2017

Good riddance sis, you won’t be missed.

      • Swit Katz January 13, 2017

This moron hates beyonce yet loves Madonna who was never a great singer or dancer. You’re the reason people think we’re jealous of every minority’s success bcoz I’ve never understood why anyone would hate beyonce.

    • Surprise..(DEC 2013) January 13, 2017

Sellout because bey got nominated….SHUT THE F*** AND KEEP BEING A RACIST C****.

    • OMG Logic!!! January 13, 2017

Don’t listen to these classless peasants. Anyone who remembers past NME winners remembers that it was a magazine who used to focus on the best of the best in music instead of those who are just popular like they are now. You could always find fantastic bands and upcoming indie ones. Now it’s just about the biggest pop names and the same tired bands.

    • Lea January 13, 2017

She paid for every one of them!

  8. Girl January 13, 2017

Never heard of that award show before but congrats…….I guess

  9. Metzo January 13, 2017

  10. SMH January 13, 2017

The expense account that keeps on giving…

  11. JOHNVIDAL January 13, 2017

    What´s this?
Tjhose nominations are a little bit original and different I must say. Hard to find nowadays. Although the moment I read Adele or Beyonce nominated for HEROS of the year (why exactly? For releasing an album?) or the nominees for best film I instantly think about this as an irrelevant joke.

  12. mr.m January 13, 2017

    go bey!! work ur $$$
    buy these awards h**

    • Amerikkka’s Most Wanted ~ Tyler January 13, 2017

At least she’s not buying her own album certifications

  13. fatusankoh January 13, 2017

You go queen Bey good luck more blessing and success in all you do

  14. OMG Logic!!! January 13, 2017

Look at the nominees for Best Movie and Best Show. They alone should immediately inform everyone the standard of quality NME is looking for these days. Humans? S****** Squad? Who the hell watched S****** Squad and thought it was even remotely good, let alone Movie of the Year material?

    • JOHNVIDAL January 14, 2017

I thought it wasn´t as bad as some wanted it to be (again). I enjoyed the team more than i thought I would. But obviously best of year material (neither this nor any other cbm) it is not. A joke.

  15. @ASAPicon January 13, 2017

Theres a worst band category…. lol
