X Factor UK: 5 After Midnight Leaves SYCO

Published: Sunday 21st Jan 2018 by David

The Urban Pop group 5AM have walked away from Simon Cowell‘s SYCO and bid farewell to its lead singer Kieran Alleyne.

Details on the group’s new moves below..

The trio rose to fame on X Factor UK in 2016 and were soon picked up by SYCO on a label front and the industry power player Ashley Tabor on a managerial tip.

Alas, despite making what sources close to TGJ reveal was half a million pounds for the label by way of their live shows, the group’s failure to rock the charts with their debut single ‘Up In Here’ saw them freed from their contract.

The Sun newspaper broke the story…

Sony and 5AM have decided to part ways,” a source told reveals. “With the arrival of [2017 X Factor winners] Rak-Su, the label felt there wasn’t enough resources to look after them both.

“The band are looking for another label but are deciding whether it is worth staying together or going solo.”

The label confirmed this with…

5 After Midnight and Syco have parted ways. We wish the boys all the success in their future endeavours.

Then, Kieran Alleyne shared this message with the group’s supporters…

2018 (and yes I know I spelt “decision” wrong with my dyslexic self)

To be perfectly honest about this group, the issue all comes down to management and the music though they are very talented young men, the single selections for this group were absolutely horrible. Nothing that they released in my honest opinion truly captured the sound and capabilities of the members in this group. It is sad to say that they have a short-lived moment of success due to a lack of people being capable of providing them with what they truly needed to launch a successful career.

This is no surprise. One of them took i’ll this year and they were JLS two too be honest. As for this solo career, if Aston who was deemed the all glowing member of JLS couldn’t pop off with a solo career after all of JLS’s success i don’t know how its going to work for this group that not only anyone can remember but didn’t make a mark in music. i wish them good health and success

Unfortunately, the Xfactor template is done. Reason being soundcloud/spotify. worldstarhip hop & linkuptv/grm daily etc far more viable ways of launching an artist
    plus their music was horrible.
i think xfactor should focus on pop white acts n leave urban alone
